A Study on the Posture Maintenance Performance and Self-Efficacy in accordance with Posture Correction Program (자세교정프로그램에 따른 자세유지 수행과 자기효능감에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to identify the posture correction program as the development of the posture maintenance performance, and search for the more efficient posture correction program. The data analysis was processed by SPSS. The data was analysed with $x^2$-test, t-test, pearson product moment correlation, and stepwise regression analysis. The finding of this study is as follows: There are the homogeneity between two groups was verified on the know ledges CF=.697, df=2, P>.05), self-efficacy(F=.098, df=2, P>.05) about the posture. The developed posture correction program has proved to enhance the posture maintenance performance(knowledge t=1.60, P<.05 ; posture manintenance t=7.69, P<.01). The type of posture correction program showed some significant differences (t=5.62, P<.01) in the accuracy of movement way among the factors of the posture maintenance performance. The posture maintenance performance affected self-efficacy. Therefore, the major conclusion is as follows: The posture correction program was meaningfully effective on developing the posture maintenance, and with practice created accuracy much more on the posture maintenance movement way. The development of the posture maintenance performance affected the increase of self-efficacy about the posture. The self-efficacy has proved so powerful factor to influence on the posture maintenance performance development. So, the posture correction program should be done systematically and continually, and developing the posture maintenance performance should be done with practice. After the education, it should be reinforced through practice, midterm identification and reeducation and motivated with recognizing the accurate posture measurement. And it should be created the correction program to develop the high self-efficacy about the posture. It needs the strategy to educate the correct posture individually, and to spread to the society for healthy life style.

Effects of Flipped Learning on the Critical Thinking Disposition, Academic Achievement and Academic Self-efficacy of Nursing Students: A Mixed Methods Study (플립러닝이 간호학생의 비판적 사고성향, 학업성취도 및 학업적 자기효능감에 미치는 효과: 혼합연구 설계 적용)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of lessons based on flipped on nursing students' critical thinking disposition, academic achievement, and academic self-efficacy. Methods: The study design was a mixed methods paradigm. Participants were 82 nursing students (experimental group=41, control group=41) for the quantitative study, and nine nursing students for the qualitative study. A flipped learning lesson and lecture were provided in a class titled Critical Thinking and Nursing Processes to compare the effects of the flipped learning lesson. Quantitative data were analyzed with a chi-square test and an independent t-test. Qualitative data were analyzed by means of content analysis. Results: The critical thinking disposition (t=-5.90, p=.004) of the experimental group with flipped learning increased significantly, but their academic achievement (t=0.38, p=.078) and academic self-efficacy (t=-0.24, p=.053) did not show any significant change. From the content analysis after the flipped learning lesson, four categories and 13 sub-categories were derived. Conclusion: The results of this study showed that flipped learning is an effective teaching-learning method for improving nursing students' critical thinking disposition. Therefore, it will be necessary to consider teaching-learning management strategies for applying flipped learning in the nursing education field.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of 3D PRINTING and physical education central STEAM program on the subject interest and creative attitude of middle school students. In order to achieve this purpose, this research collected data from two different groups; a control group (n=98) and a comparison group (n=101) who are attending middle schools located in Gyeonggi-do. The exploratory factor analysis, reliability analysis, independent t-test and paired t-test were conducted by the IBM SPSS 20.0 program. The results are as follows; First, physical education central STEAM utilizing 3D PRINTING is efficient in the subject interest. Second, physical education central STEAM utilizing 3D PRINTING is efficient in the creative attitude.

Clinical Analysis of 194 Patients with Condyloma Applying Korean Medicine Treatment (한의학적 치료를 활용한 성기사마귀 환자 194례의 임상 특성 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to assess potential effects of the effects of Korean Medicine treatments on condyloma. Retrospective study of 194 patients with diagnosed condyloma in Saengki Korean Medicine Clinic from October 2013 to September 2018 was done. Patients were treated with Korean Medicine treatments such as herbal treatment, pharmacopuncture and moxibustion. The data has been analyzed by chi-squared distribution and t-test. A total of 194 patients were 148 males and 46 females. In the aspect of diagnosis, newly diagnosed patients were 96 and recurrent patients were 98. After the treatment, in the light of size complete clearances were 110 patients, partial clearances were 63 and non responses were 21. And in the light of number complete clearances were 110 patients, partial clearances were 68 and non responses were 16. In complete clearance group, the relation among the treatment period, sex, age, and the site of wart showed statistically significant. There were 3 recurrences of warts in the 6 months of follow-up observation for 110 of clearance group. No major side effects related to the treatment were found. As the result of t-test shows, the Korean Medicine treatment we had applied revealed as statistically effective on both number(t=11.471, p<.001) and size(t=11.951, p<.001) of the wart. The result of this study suggests that additional treatment of Korean medicine such as acupuncture and moxibustion treatment could be effective on condyloma patients.

The Effect of Risk Assessment on Employee Safety Behavior in Manufacturing Workplaces (제조업 사업장에서 위험성평가가 근로자 안전행동 수준에 미치는 영향)

  • Objectives: This study was designed to examine the effect of risk assessment on employee safety behavior in manufacturing workplaces. In addition, this study attempted to explore factors related to the occupational safety and health system in the workplace affect the risk assessment of manufacturing sites. Methods: This research is a cross-sectional study using the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency's 2018 Occupational Safety and Health data. The sample for study is 1,967 manufacturing workplaces. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, chi-square test, and hierarchical multiple regression analysis using SPSS (ver.25.0). Results: As a result of the multiple hierarchical regression analysis, it was found that risk assessment had an effect on employee safety behavior (t=4.435, p=<.001). Furthermore, the size of the workplace affected employee safety behavior (t=2.494, p=<.001). In addition, the presence of safety and health management organizations affected employee safety behavior (t=4.301, p=<.001). The factors of the safety and health organization (𝑥2=35.245, p=<.001), the occupational safety and health committee (𝑥2=149.440, p=<.001), and the supervisor (𝑥2=16.472, p=<.001) were identified as factors that increased the possibility of risk assessment in the manufacturing workplaces. Conclusions: In this study, it was found that risk assessment is a factor that increases the level of workers' safety behavior in manufacturing workplaces. Therefore, it is necessary to provide institutional support for activating risk assessment at manufacturing workplaces.

  • As AI (Artificial Intelligence)-related technologies are highly developed due to the 4th industrial revolution, cases of applying AI in various fields are increasing. The main reason is that there are practical limits to direct processing and analysis of exponentially increasing data as information and communication technology develops, and the risk of human error can be reduced by applying new technologies. In this study, after collecting the data received from the 'remote potential measurement terminal (T/B, Test Box)' and the output of the 'remote rectifier' at that time, AI was trained. AI learning data was obtained through data augmentation through regression analysis of the initially collected data, and the learning model applied the value-based Q-Learning model among deep reinforcement learning (DRL) algorithms. did The AI that has completed data learning is put into the actual city gas supply area, and based on the received remote T/B data, it is verified that the AI responds appropriately, and through this, AI can be used as a suitable means for electricity management in the future. want to verify.

The Influence of Resilience, Awareness of Patient Safety Management, and Proactive Behavior on Performance of Standard Precautions among Nurses Working in Emergency Department (응급실 간호사의 회복탄력성, 환자안전관리에 대한 인식, 선도적 행위가 표준주의 수행에 미치는 영향)

  • Purpose: This study investigated the correlations among resilience, the awareness of patient safety management, proactive behavior, and the performance of standard precautions among nurses working in the emergency department. Additionally, it aimed to identify the factors influencing the performance of standard precautions. Methods: Data were collected through a descriptive survey conducted between June 10 and July 9, 2023. The participants included 208 nurses working in the emergency department in Korea. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS/WINdows software version 29.0, based on the frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test, one-way analysis of variance, Scheffé test, Pearson's correlation coefficients, and multiple regression. Results: The analysis based on the participants' general characteristics showed that performance of standard precautions varied significantly according to age (t=2.10, p=.036), size of the emergency department (F=7.46, p<.001), average number of patients treated per day while working in the past month (t=-3.88, p<.001) and standard precautions training experience (t=2.16, p=.032). The main factors influencing the performance of standard precautions among nurses working in the emergency department are awareness of patient safety management (β=.62, p<.001), resilience (β=.18, p=.042), and age (β=-.15, p=.007), with a total explanatory power of approximately 46.0%. Conclusion: It is necessary to establish programs and an effective education system to increase resilience and awareness in patient safety management to improve the performance of standard precautions among nurses working in the emergency department.

A Study on the Relationship of Infection Control Performance in a Long Term Care Hospital Caregivers (일개 지역 요양병원 간병인의 감염관리수행도 관련성 연구)

  • The purpose of the study is to investigate infection management status of long term care hospitals and infection prevention knowledge of caregivers. This is descriptive study to investigate the factors affecting caregivers' infection control performance in long term care hospitals. The data collection period was from August, 2018, and a total of 197 caregivers from 8 long term care hospitals. The data analysis were done Win SPSS 20.0 with t-test, ANOVA, pearson's correlation coefficient, and hierarchical multiple regression analysis. Infection prevention knowledge was positively correlated with infection control performance (p=<.001). The factors influencing performance in a long term care hospital caregivers were over seventy years old (t=2.50, p=.013), eight-hour working time (t=-2.62, p=.010), nursing staffing First grades (t=2.48, p=.014), and infection prevention knowledge (t=2.96 p=.003), which explained 12.9% (F=6.70 p<.001). In summary, we recommend to develop infection education interventions to improve caregivers' infection control performance in long term care hospitals and to improve of the function in long term care hospitals.

Effects of Grit in Nursing Students on Self-Directed Learning Ability and Adjustment to College Life (간호대학생의 그릿이 자기주도 학습능력과 대학생활적응에 미치는 영향)

  • This study is a descriptive research study to analyze the effects of grit in nursing students on self-directed learning ability and adjustment to university life. Data was collected from 260 nursing students including first and second-year nursing students in Region C University. The data was analyzed to find relationships among grit, self-directed learning ability, and college life adjustment using frequency analysis, descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, and multiple regression analysis. The results showed the subdomains of grit in which grit in nursing students affected self-directed learning ability were consistency of interest (t=2.423, p<.05) and perseverance of effort (t=3.761, p<.001). The explanation power of the regression model was 40.2%, which was a statistically significant result (F=23.609, p<.001). The subdomains of grit in which grit in nursing students affected adjustment to college life were the consistency of interest (t=3.112, p<.001) and perseverance of effort (t=3.930, p<.001). The explanation power of the regression model was 43.2%, which was a statistically significant result (F=30.608, p<.001). These results show that it is necessary to develop educational programs to enhance individual nursing students' grit, self-directed learning ability, and college-life adjustment.

Effect of Sustainable Energy Design Project on Achievement for Engineering Freshmen at Virginia Tech in the United States (미국 버지니아텍 공대 신입생에 대한 '지속가능 에너지 설계' 프로젝트 수업의 효과)

  • In this study, the effect of a sustainable energy design project on academic achievement for engineering freshmen at Virginia Tech in fall semester 2006 in the United States was examined by experimental method. The department of engineering education at Virginia Tech was opened in 2004. In this experiment the population was approximately 1200 freshmen, and 5 classes were sampled. Subject name is engineering exploration, a theme of the instruction is sustainable energy design, the project was performed throughout a 6 weeks period with one by 50 minutes lecture conducted by faculty and one 90 minutes workshop conducted by GTAs (Graduate Teaching Assistants) every week. The statistical results using SPSS (ver. 15.0) are as follows: A paired-samples t test analysis was run on the pre- and posttest to determine academic achievement, the results indicated a significant increase in 4 classes of mixed gender at .05 significance level, but there was no significance at 1 group of female class. A paired-samples t test analysis was run on the pre- and posttest to get an attitude score, the results showed, the posttest scores decreased for 5 groups even though it was not statistically significant. Finally, in responses to an open-ended question about students' perceptions of their improvement in skills, the 3 most frequently identified skills were teamwork, design process, knowledge.
