  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine triage nurses' the Korean triage and acuity scale(KTAS) performance ability, perception of importance, education needs and identify the factors influencing triage nurses' the KTAS performance ability. Methods: A descriptive correlational study was conducted among 146 emergency nurses working in 13 hospitals from March to May, 2017. Data were collected utilizing a questionnaire developed to measure performance ability, perception of importance, and educational needs of 192 items of the KTAS. Statistical analysis included t-test, analysis of variance, correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis. Results: The triage nurses' the KTAS performance ability was rated as 3.3/4.0 points, perception of importance as 3.2/4.0 points, and education needs as 3.1/4.0 points. Factors influencing the KTAS performance of the participants were perception of importance, education needs, and work experience at the emergency department, explaining 26.7% of total variance. Conclusion: The KTAS performance ability of triage nurses could be improved through training programs designed to enhance their perception of importance and provide knowledge about the KTAS. Nurses' emergency department work experience needs to be considered as an important factor for the KTAS performance ability.

  • A temperature-analysis program, named ${\ulcorner}TAMCON{\lrcorner}$, was developed to predict the temperature rise due to the heat of hydration in hardening concrete. Finite element method was employed to facilitate the temperature analysis for the structures with complex geometry and various boundary conditions. In order to test the validity of the program, the results obtained from TAMCON for the wall-t.ype structure and the mat foundation were compared with the numerical analysis anti experimental data reported previously. As a result, it was found that they were in good agreement. TAMCON may be useful for the temperature control to restrain thermal cracking and the construction management to design the reasonable curing method in mass concrete.

A total 118 responses of residents living in apartments of Seoul Metropolitan Area were used for data analysis. Using statistical program SPSS Win 18.0, frequency analysis, t-test, One-way ANOVA, and factor analysis was employed. The major findings were as follows: 1) slightly more than half of the respondents were aware of green home, and the vast majority were in favor of the green home policy; 2) most of the respondents carried out guidelines of green residential life, and in particular, green living on air environment was well done, followed by consumption, waste, energy, traffic and water; 3) the six kinds of environments were subcategorized by using factor analysis, and 3 to 5 factors were included in each category of environment. Also, it was found that age, educational level, employment status of respondents, housing tenure and duration were related to the degree of green residential life. In midst of global movement toward sustainability, environmentally friendly living is not optional but mandatory, so it's important to change each individual's value on the relation between people and environment and to facilitate more environmentally conscious behaviors.

  • Due to the belief that housing for university students is uniform materialistic and non-human, a variety of needs and preferences of the residents is becoming more important. In order to more positively identify the user's emotional needs, a design that meets the needs of the resident's living space is absolutely necessary. The purpose of this study is to group the sensibility types of university students, to analyze the preferred interior image and interior design elements, and then to understand the preferred characteristics according to sensibility type. To collect the data, a survey method was used for 224 university students in Seoul and the metropolitan area. The data analysis used SPSS PC 14.0 to find the frequency, t-test, chi-square, factor analysis, and cluster analysis. The results of the analysis are as follows: First, sensibility types were segmented into four groups including 'Unique & Elegant', 'Static & Tidy', 'Warm & Comfortable', and 'Characteristic & Free'. Second, the preferred interior image was the Minimal-Dandy-Natural Image, the preferred floor_material was wood, and the preferred wall_material was marble. Third, there were different interior preferences according to each type of gender & sensibility.

The subjects were 263 female college students and working women residing in metropolitan area of Seoul. The data were analyzed by using descriptive analysis, factor analysis, Cronbach's ${\alpha}$-reliability coefficient, t-test, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and multiple regression analysis. Five dimensions of knitwear purchase motive were derived by factor analysis; expressive, others' influence/deficiency, quality/social, situation, and utility motive. Consumer satisfactions were classified into 3 dimensions; appearance, practicality, and quality satisfaction. The expressive motive had significant positive relationships with the satisfaction of appearance and quality satisfaction. The quality/social motive had positive relationships with the satisfaction of appearance, practicality, and quality. • Korean Internet shopping malls, which provide customers not only with convenient shopping experiences but also with purchasing, warehousing, shipping, and customs clearance services, have been playing a significant role in rapidly transforming Korean consumers into global consumers especially in purchasing fashion goods. Utilizing Ajzen and Fishbein(1980)'s Behavioral Intention Model, which postulates that behavioral intention is determined by attitude and subjective norm, this study identified behavioral intentions toward purchasing foreign fashion goods through Korean Internet shopping malls and the differences of behavioral intentions according to consumers’purchasing experiences on the Internet shopping malls. The data were gathered by surveying female university students living in the Seoul metropolitan area, Korea, and 222 questionnaires were used in the statistical analysis. Mean, standard deviation, factor analysis, t-test, cross tabulation, and $\chi$$^2$ analysis were used. The results indicated that purchasers had more favorable attitudes and subjective norms and higher behavioral intentions than non-purchasers. With respect to attitude, there were significant differences in behavioral beliefs and evaluation of outcomes for the variety and scarcity value factor. With respect to subjective norm, there were no significant differences in normative beliefs and motivation to comply toward friends, people who had purchasing experiences, fashion magazines. and celebrities between the two groups.
