Association of Demographic Characteristics and Delinquent Behaviors and Level of Stress among Korean Senior High School Students (한국 고등학생의 인구학적 특성 및 일탈행동 요인과 스트레스와의 관계에 관한 고찰)

  • This study tried to investigate the relationships between demographic characteristics and delinquent behaviors factors of the Korean high school students and their level of stress. The 2009 Korean Youth Health Risk Behavior On-line Survey data was used for this study. It selected 35,668 cases of senior high school students from the raw dataset and conducted a secondary data analysis. Frequency analysis, t-test, F-test were conducted for this study. Gender, living with parents, economic status, school type, grade, academic record, internet addiction, problem drinking, smoking were significantly associated with their level of stress. Findings may be used for coping with stress among the Korean senior high school students.

  • Due to the rapid growth of Chinese ports, currently, research for the improvement of competitiveness of Busan port have been intensively studied. These research have mostly evaluated or analyzed competitiveness of ports, and then, based on results of analysis, have suggested some strategies for enhancing competitiveness of Busan port. However. although implications of these previous studies are practically available to build policies for Busan port, basic studies such as identification of port competitiveness( or port selection) related factors for reasonable evaluation and analysis which have contributions in academic area have been very rare. The primary objective of this study is to investigate port selection criteria, based on empirical data Especially, in this study, we classify internal /external factors, and present importances of external factors that have yet to be empirically identified in previous studies.

Safety Knowledge, Safety Control and Safety Performance in Early Childhood Teachers (유아교사의 안전지식, 안전통제가 안전수행에 미치는 영향)

  • This study was conducted as a descriptive study with the aim of identifying the effects of safety knowledge and safety control on early childhood teachers' safety performance. Data collection for the study was carried out between October $10^{th}$ and $30^{th}$, 2014 by surveying 187 early childhood teachers working in child day care center and kindergarten located in P, K, & Y city. Measures were subjects' safety knowledge, safety control, and safety performance. For the analysis of the data, the statistical methods of frequency, mean and standard deviation, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficients, and multiple regression analysis were employed. When the category of safety performance was analyzed by general features, marital status, educational career, and degree of assistance of safety education, there were significant differences. Safety performance correlated positively with safety knowledge and safety control. Factors affecting early childhood teachers' safety performance were identified in the order of safety knowledge and safety control and the explanatory power was 60.0%. The findings of the study indicate that in order to increase early childhood teachers' safety performance, their safety knowledge and safety control have to be enhanced.

Effects of Family Function, Impulsive Behavior and Stress on Bullying Types of Adolescents (청소년의 가족기능, 충동성, 스트레스 수준이 집단따돌림 유형에 미치는 영향)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of adolescent's family function, impulsive behavior, stress on the bullying types. Method: Data were collected from 627 adolescents and analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, Pearson correlation coefficients and stepwise multiple regression with the SPSS 18.0. Results: The bullying types (injurer and victim) correlates with family function, impulsive behavior and stress. Stepwise multiple regression analysis showed emotional reactivity, non-planning impulsiveness, friends related stress, experience of drinking (yes), experience of parent depression problem (yes), explained 34.1% of the total variance in bully injurer. Stepwise multiple regression analysis showed communication, motor impulsiveness, friends related stress, gender (male), grade (junior high school), explained 30.9% of the total variance in bully victim. Conclusion: The results of this study are expected to be used as basic data in providing a better understanding of adolescents' bullying, in preventing bullying and in developing an intervention program.

  • The purpose of this study is to analysis the horizontal distance of COM and COP and the movement patterns of COM and COP during the badminton high-clear of woman middle school student. The select variables used in the statistical analyses(independent sample T-test) were the horizontal distance of COM and COP at (E4), and the maximum COM displacement of the back-, forward-, whole-swing phases between expert and novice groups. Based on the results in this study, it was concluded that: First, expert group showed the shorter horizontal distance between COM and COP in anteroposterior axis (X-axis) at Event 4 compared to the novice group. Second, expert group dominantly used COM vertical movement while novice group actively used COM horizontal movement during the badminton high-clear stroke.

The Effects of Trust on Student Silence and Exit Intention (신뢰가 학생침묵과 이탈의도에 미치는 영향)

  • Purpose - Many studies show that dissatisfied customers are silent rather than expressing complaints directly to firms. Although silent voices are pervasive in service failure, they have received little attention from researchers. Silence implies a multidimensional nature, not just the opposite of voice. This study focuses on two types of silent students in higher education: acquiescent silence and defensive silence. This study also proposes cognitive trust and affective trust as variables affecting student silence. The objective of this study is to analyse the effects of trust types on student silence and exit intention. Research design, data, and methodology - To test the proposed model, this study conducted a survey with undergraduate students who selected silence in a dissatisfied relationship with a professor. Respondents were asked to respond to the questionnaire, recalling the dissatisfaction at that time. A total of 300 students was surveyed from whom 275 completed questionnaires was obtained. The structural equation model analysis was used for the hypothesis test. Results - First, cognitive trust was negatively related to acquiescent and defensive silence. Second, affective trust was negatively related to acquiescent and defensive silence. Third, cognitive trust was negatively exit intention, but affective trust didn't significantly reduce exit intention. Forth, acquiescent silence was positively related to exit intention, but defensive silence didn't have a significant positive impact on exit intention. Thus, a key result of this analysis was that acquiescent silence enhances exit intention. Conclusions - The findings of the study provide a better understanding of the types of silence, and the role of trust, thus furthering the implication of student reactions to dissatisfaction. In particular, this study is meaningful in that it confirms the value of student silence in the context of complaint management. Acquiescent silence should be more importantly managed because it has stronger negative motive than defensive silence. Acquiescent silence is reduced through various channels(mail, telephone, counseling) that can express complaints. Cognitive trust and affective trust are a essential factors in reducing silence. Also, in explaining exit intention, cognitive trust plays a more important role than affective trust.

Comparative Analysis of Consumption Expenditure Condition of Elderly Persons with and without Physical Disabilities by Social Economic Status and Sociodemographic Characteristics (중노년기 지체장애인과 비장애인의 사회경제적 지위 및 인구사회학적 특성에 따른 소비지출구조 비교분석)

  • This study was carried out to analyze the consumption expenditure condition of elderly persons with and without physical disabilities by social economic status and sociodemographic characteristics and to compare the results of those two groups for making an offer the basic materials to provide political support for elderly persons with physical disabilities. The statistical analysis of collected data was enforced through T-test, ANOVA and Crosstabs with SPSS 19.0 program. The results of this study are summarized as follows. First, the group with disabilities has presumed to be in relative poverty given that disposable income, academic career and total living expenses showed lower than the other group. Second, the component ratios of domestic foods and housing expenses of disabled group showed higher but those of specific spending items of expenditure such as social activities, reserving fund of social security for economic safety net, clothing and eating out expenses showed lower than the other group.

  • The purpose of this study is to identify learning attitudes, problem-solving skills, critical thinking tendencies, and the effects on learning attitudes for dental hygienist. It was. The data analysis method analyzed the general characteristics of the subjects, and the learning attitude, critical thinking disposition, and problem solving ability were examined with the mean, standard deviation, and correlation between each variable. t-test, ANOVA, and hierarchical regression analysis were used for the study attitude, critical thinking tendency, and problem solving ability according to the general characteristics of the study subjects. As a result of this study, grades were the most influential variables, and self-confidence and skepticism influenced learning attitudes as a sub-factor of critical thinking. In this study, the first grade of dental hygiene and enrolled students was the highest. Development of programs to effectively raise critical thinking tendency and problem solving ability for first graders, and research on characteristics of learners, major satisfaction, adaptation to college life, problem-based learning and preceptorship should be continuously conducted.   • The study was done to compare quality of life by family therapy, self-esteem f teem insight factors which explain quality of life in individuals with schizophrenic patients. A questionnaire survey was conducted with 125 schizophrenia people in C region. The data were analyzed by SPSSWIN 21.0, t-test, ANOVA and Pearson correlation coefficient calculation and multiple regression analysis. The results were as follows. Impact quality of life of clients showed significant difference by religion, support team(p<.05). Quality of life were positively correleated with self-esteem and family support. Multiple regression analysis showed that 49.5% of the self esteem, insight, family support showed the quality of life. Development of programs for strengthening family support and self esteem is required for proper quality of life.
