  • The purpose of this study was finding out proper wall assembly to reduce moisture accumulation in light frame wall under outdoor air conditions. For the purpose, moisture transfer and accumulation in a wall were evaluated for five types of wall assembly; typical wall (T), addition of a vapor retarder (P1), addition of two vapor retarders (P2), addition of an open air gap for ventilation behind the siding (P3), and shift of vapor retarder with proposed wall 'P3' (P4). The moisture transfer and accumulation in the all walls were evaluated after applying the typical and proposed walls to the field test house. Performances of the typical and proposed walls were compared according to the season. Rank for effective wall on reducing moisture accumulation in wall was 1) shift of vapor ratarder and addition of open air gap (P4), 2) addition of vapor retarder (P1), 3) typical wall (T), 4) addition of open air gap (P3), and 5) the other (P2).

  • Ferroelectric $Bi_{3.25}Nd_{0.75}Ti_{3}O_{12}(BNdT)$ thin films were proposed for capacitor of FeRAM. The BNdT thin films were grown on Pt/Ti $SiO_2/P-Si(100)$ substrates by the RF magnetron sputtering deposition. The dielectric properties of the BNdT were investigated by varying deposition temperatures. Increasing deposition temperature, the (117) peak was increased. An increase of columnar and recrystalline structure of BNdT films with increasing deposition temperature was observed by the Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscopy(FE-SEM). The dielectric constant and dielectric loss of the BNdT thin films with deposition temperature of $600^{\circ}C$ were 319 and 0.05, respectively.

  • In this paper we fabricated QMSAs for 850MHz band on the teflon substrate with $\varepsilon_1-2.6, $ $t=1.6mm(\pm0.08)(CGP-500).$ We measured the resonant frequency and the return loss with cutting the gap region between radiation patch and ground plate by a 5mm length step by step. As a result we found that the measured data was not so bad unlike other papers when the gap region was closer to zero, especially under 10mm.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze, centering on the preconditions presented, the actual conditions of fashion merchandising informatization, to find a considerable gap between its preconditions and present situations and to explore the strategic device of fashion merchandising informatization. The study is analyzed through questionary paper to the domestic fashion apparel firms. The collected questionary paper is analyzed with SPSS/PC/sup +/ program and the method of statistical analysis used for this study is t-test, one way ANOVA and frequency analysis. There was a considerable gap between its preconditions and present situations analyzing the actual condition of fashion merchandising infomatization centering on its preconditions. The strategic devices of fashion merchandising informations in order to treat, 1. Each apparel company should consider how they classify the informations in order to treat, accumulate, transfer and manage them effectively. 2. In order to make an environment of fashion merchandising informatizations, each company should arrange, expand and utilize informatization instruments. Also they should consider the case to utilize an inside or outside information center effectively.

  • Breakdown characteristics of insulator-liquid nitrogen ($LN_2$) composite insulation for resistor type High $T_c$/ superconducting fault current limiter (HTSFCL) under ac and impulse voltage in $LN_2$ has been studied using model electrode systems. Electrodes for model electrode systems were made of SUS 304 contacted fiberglass reinforced plastic (FRP) and Au coated sapphire. The breakdown characteristics of model electrode systems were investigated experimentally for FRP thickness ranging from 1 mm to 5 mm. surface distance ranging from 2.5 mm to 7 mm and electrode gap ranging from 1 to 5 mm. The experimental data suggested that the breakdown voltage of model electrode systems in $LN_2$ is highly dependent on the surface distance, electrode gap as well as on the FRP thickness. Also, we had observed discharge traces and puncture due to high-voltage 60-Hz AC stress.

  • In order to see the effect of die deformation on the forming analysis of sheet metals, the draw-ins, strains, and spring-backs of an automotive fender panels are numerically simulated by considering the die deformation found by the simultaneous structural analysis of press and dies. By coupling the forming analysis and the structural analysis, the die deformation is simultaneously taken into account in the forming process. Furthermore, for the consideration of load difference transferred among the upper die, punch, and blank holder due to the changes in sheet thickness, the gap elements are employed instead of the blank sheet in the structural analysis. The numerical simulation results of an automotive finder draw panel are compared with the measurements. The comparison of the forming and spring-back analysis results between the rigid die and the deformed die shows that the consideration of tool deformation can predict more accurately the forming and spring-back of sheet metals.

  • We report the results of the characterization of Cu oxide thin films deposited by radio frequency (r.f.) magnetron sputtering at different annealing temperatures. The deposited Cu oxide thin films were investigated by scanning electron microscopy, spectroscopic ellipsometry, X-ray diffraction, atomic force microscopy, Xray photoelectron spectroscopy, and contact angle measurements. The thickness of the films was about 180 nm and the monoclinic CuO phase was detected. The $CuO_2$ and $Cu(OH)_2$ phases were grown as amorphous phase and the ratio of the three phases were independent on the annealing temperature. The surface of Cu oxide films changed from hydrophilic to hydrophobic as the annealing temperature increased. This phenomenon is due to the increase of the surface roughness. The direct optical band gap was also obtained and laid in the range between 2.36 and 3.06 eV.

  • It is the basic requirement of design process of parts assembly to specify geometric dimensions and tolerances of product characteristics. Among them, tolerance stack analysis is one of the important methods to specify tolerance zone. Tolerance stack analysis is to calculate gap using tolerances which includes geometric and coordinate dimensions. In this study, we suggested more general method called the virtual method to analyze tolerance stack. In virtual method, tolerance zone is formed by combination of dimensional tolerance, geometric tolerance and bonus tolerance. Also tolerance zone is classified by virtual boundary condition and resultant boundary condition. So gap can be defined by combination of virtual boundary and/or resultant boundary. Several examples are used to show the effectiveness of new method comparing to other methods.

  • The native oxide films were thermally and anodically formed on the n-GaP substrates grown by SSD method and measured this oxide thickness and the chemical composition and the electrical properties with formation condition. The chemical composition of themally oxidized GaP film was composed of mostly $GaPO_4$ at temperature below $800^{\circ}C$ and mostly $\beta-Ga_{2}O_{3}$ above $800^{\circ}C$. But The chemical composition of anodically oxidized GaPfilm was composed of the mixture of $Ga_{2}O_{3}$ and $P_{2}O_{5}$. The barrier height of Al/oxide/n-Gap which was formed at $700^{\circ}C$ by thermal oxidation method were 1.10eV, 1.03eV in Current-Voltage measurement. Interface charge density were $4{\times}10^{12}q(C/cm^2)$ and $3{\times}10^{12}q(C/cm^2)$ in Capacitance-Voltage measurement respectively.
