The present study is designed to trace the successful reform steps taken within the employment support system in the UK and to extract a set of instructive implications for Korea's future reform path towards an efficient employment support system conductive to youth employment by setting out an analytical framework that links the British experience to the Korean context. To this end, this study focuses on three major aspects of employment support system: delivery mechanism, method of delivery, and programs. Implications drawn from the comparative analysis are as follows. First, the current employment support services in Korea-including job placement service, vocational training, and public works-should be more tightly integrated and delivered in a more consistent fashion in order to become highly accessible to the unemployed. Second, the cooperative network between employment service providers and the corporate sector as demander of labor should be institutionalized in order to make the employment support system more responsive to labor demand. Third, to create an enhanced employment support system that counts in individual differences of the unemployed would require continued, in-depth consultation and case management services along with fully specialized employment caseworkers who would provide them. Fourth, the government should take the initiative and be unflaggingly supportive both institutionally and financially in making future efforts to continuously improve the employment support system on the basis of the implications mentioned above.
The purpose of this study is to provide a logical basis for guarantee the effectiveness of the tax support system, which is one of the main measures to prevent the side effects of commercial gentrification. For this purpose, this study analyzes the combination of tax support to replace the loss of net rental income due to stabilize commercial rents and annual rent increase rate that can be substituted through the tax support system based on economic utility of commercial lessors in Seoung-dong, Seoul. The result of this study shows that the tax support system can be used as an effective means to substitute a considerable portion of the net rental income loss due to stabilize commercial rents of Seongsu-dong. However if the rent price continues to rise every year, the tax support system does not work. In order to guarantee the sustainability of the tax support system, annual rent increase rate should be kept below a certain level.

In this paper, a model of adaptive individual life support system is proposed from the viewpoint of cybernetics. This model is derived based on the relation between human behavior and human action, static and dynamic in processing speed, and abstract/concrete. In applications, task and information of human which includes in this system analyzed by paying attention to cybernetics. This paper shows a few actual example of modeling by fundamental adaptive individual life support model such as medical diagnosis, health care and education support. Finally as an example, design and implementation are concretely carried out for health care support system. This is also a method to design a information support system which is involved in human.
The purpose of this study is to clarify variables dichotomizing adolescents into online game addiction-latency group and non-addiction group. Based on ecologic theory, individual system(self-esteem, self-control, depression, stress-coping strategy), family system(parental support), and social system(teachers' support and peer-group support) were suggest for variables affecting online game addiction of adolescents. 612 adolescents were tested for game addiction, self-esteem, self-control, depression, stress-coping strategy, and social supports from parents, teachers, and peer group. Independent t-tests showed between-group differences in self-esteem, self-control, depression, aggressive, and negative-avoiding stress-coping strategies, parental support, and peer-group support. Binary logistic regression analyses revealed that aggressive stress-coping strategy of social system and peer-group support of social system had significant influences on the division of the groups.
Floating, production, storage and offloading (FPSO) is a production facility that refines and saves the drilled crude oil from a drilling facility in the ocean. The flare system in the FPSO is a major part of the pressure relieving system for hydrocarbon processing plants. The flare system consists of a number of pipes and complicated connection systems. Decision of pipe support types is important since the load on the support and the stress in the pipe are influenced by the pipe support type. In this study, we optimally determined the pipe support types that minimized the support cost while satisfying the design constraints on maximum support load, maximum nozzle load and maximum pipe stress ratio. Performance indices included in the design constraints for a specified design were evaluated by pipe structural analysis using CAESAR II. Since pipe support types were all discrete design variables, an evolutionary algorithm (EA) was used as an optimizer. We successfully obtained the optimal solution that reduced the support cost by 27.2% compared to the initial support cost while all the design requirements were satisfied.
This paper describes a development of aircraft carrier aviation support system architecture using DoDAF. The aircraft carrier, a warship performing a role of mobile sea air base in offensive and defense mission, is super system that is comprised of carrier itself and carrier-based airwing. Performing critical role in step with aviation operations in carrier-airwing interactions, the aviation support system of aircraft carrier is also system of systems. It requires a complex and integrated approach based on systems engineering in establishing concept of this complex systems. In this view, this study establishes an operational scenario and derives operational requirements by identifying aviation operations environment on deck of aircraft carrier. The study presents the operational architecture of the carrier aviation support system by using DoDAF and CASE tool CORE.
The purpose of this study was to investigate social workers' personal experiences providing social support to multi-cultural family in a multi-cultural family center. The data were collected through in-depth interviews with 14 social workers at the multi-cultural family center, and were analyzed using a phenomenological research method. The major findings were as follows : The social workers' personal experiences with and understanding of social support were classified as 4 categories : 'source of emotional support to the multi-cultural family', 'diverse and systematic educational support', 'excessive demands on material support', and 'daily life support and connection with community network'. The social workers recognized emotional and educational support as essential factors in providing social support to multi-cultural family. However, the social workers' perceptions of material support derived from negative personal experiences stemming from excessive demands and misunderstanding for material support. These results showed that social workers at the multi-cultural family center provided multi-cultural families with social support and that they interacted with community support system and multi-cultural families to increase their satisfaction.
The main purpose of this paper is to develop a Delphi Decision Support System based on the web, which can improve the conventional Delphi method. Among major drawbacks of the conventional Delphi methods are cost and efforts to distribute and collect the questionnaire by the regular mail and the tardiness in collecting, categorizing, analyzing, and reporting the result of the questionnaire. With the proposed Delphi Decision Support System, the moderator sends the e-mail to invite the member of panels so that they may visit the homepage of the Delphi Decision Support System. When the panelists input their opinions about the issues, the Delphi Decision Support System analyzes the inputs and reports the result without delay. To implement the Delphi Decision Support System, we integrated Microsoft SQL Server 6.5, jdbcKona/MS SQLServer 4 JDBC driver, and Java Development Kit 1.2
In order to provide appropriate decision supports in medical domain, it is required that clinical knowledge should be implemented in a computable form and integrated with hospital information systems. Healthcare organizations are increasingly adopting tools that provide decision support functions to improve patient outcomes and reduce medical errors. This paper proposes a process centric clinical decision support system based on medical knowledge. The proposed system consists of three major parts - CPG (Clinical Practice Guideline) repository, service pool, and decision support module. The decision support module interprets knowledge base generated by the CPG and service part and then generates a personalized and patient centered clinical process satisfying specific requirements of an individual patient during the entire treatment in hospitals. The proposed system helps health professionals to select appropriate clinical procedures according to the circumstances of each patient resulting in improving the quality of care and reducing medical errors.
This paper is described the program algorithm which can easily estimate dynamics of test support system by using mathematica tool based on the finite element method. We can determine the geometry, dimensions of the test support system, through tool stated in this paper for a certain test conditions. As a result of computer simulation and manufactured test support system's experiment in oder to verify suggested program, the dynamics of the test support system was well correspondent each other.
