  • Gap servo NF (Near Field) system is one of technologies to reduce beam spot size by increasing NA (Numerical Aperture) of lens. To achieve higher NA, SIL (Solid Immersion Lens) is used. In the case of using a blue LD (405 nm) as the light source the gap distance should be controlled under 100 nm with much tighter margin. Because of very small gap distance between SIL bottom and the surface of media, relative tilt tolerance is limited. In this paper, we presented 2-axis tilt mechanism for skew adjustment within small tilt margin.

시간 지연 요소를 이용한 PI 제어기 자동 동조 알고리즘 (An Auto-tuning Algorithm of PI Controller Using Time Delay Element)

  • 본 논문에서는 PI 제어기를 설계해야 하는 경우인 임계 주파수 부근에서 이득 감소가 적은 시스템을 구별할 수 있는 알고리즘을 제안하였다. 임계 주파수 부근에서 이득감소가 적은 시스템을 구별하기 위해 시간 지연 요소를 이용하여 이득 감소율을 구하는 방법을 제안하였다. 또한 크기 마진과 위상 마진이 주어진 경우 PI 제어기를 설계하는 방법을 제안하였다. 제안된 알고리즘은 시간 지연요소와 포화함수를 이용하여 PI 제어가 가능한 한점의 좌표값을 계산하는 방법을 사용하였다. 제안된 방법은 시뮬레이션을 통해 타당성을 검증하였다.

  • 75톤급 가스발생기 사이클 액체로켓엔진 개발을 위한 시험영역을 정의하였다. 엔진 시스템 영역은 비행시 발생하는 엔진 입구조건의 변화에 따른 변동과 각 구성품이 가지는 오차에 의한 성능 분산을 고려하고 추가의 성능 여유를 두도록 정의하였다. 엔진 시스템 시험에 상응하는 구성품의 작동영역을 정의하고 이에 추가의 여유를 두어 개발하도록 구성품 시험 영역을 정의하였다.

  • This paper presents a functional ability improvement of auto-reclosing relay in the power transmission line protection. When the high speed auto-reclosing is successful, Auto-reclosing is practically valuable to improve the transient stability limit of a power system, but it is fail due to surviving fault, both electrical and mechanical stresses can result on the transformers and turbine-generator. It is true that the longer dead time of the reclosing relay gives the higher rate of successful reclosing, On the other hand, the power system does not always need high speed reclosing because of enough stability margin. This paper proposed "stability margin based dead time reclosing" in order to decrease not only the rate of unsuccessful reclosing, but the possibility of the harmful stress also. On-line transient stability assessment using artificial neural network, for implementing the proposed scheme, has studied and tested with resonable results.

  • The lighting control power circuits should be designed in stable region according to the environment. A stable circuit is analyzed using ac equivalent circuits. The flyback converter with wide input voltage ranges is suitable for lighting control system. It is designed optimally for stability. The specifications are that the input voltage is 90V-230V, the output power is 12V/2.5A. The stability analysis is established using PSM(Phase Sensitive Multimeter) in experiment. As a result, it is confirmed that the gain margin and the phase margin are in stable area. The validity of the experimental measurement is verified.

  • This paper presents a power transfer capability calculation algorithm considering the closest saddle node bifurcation for voltage stability margin. In this method, voltage stability margin constraints considering the closest saddle node bifurcation are incorporated into a power transfer capability formulation to guarantee adequate voltage security levels in an interconnected power system. The proposed method is applied to IEEE-24 reliability test system and the results show the effectiveness of the method.

  • This study simulated the effect of steam injection on the performance and operation of a gas turbine combined heat and power (CHP) system. A commercial simple cycle gas turbine was analyzed. A full off-design analysis was carried out to investigate the variations in not only engine performance but also the operating characteristics of the compressor caused by steam injection. Variation in engine performance and operation characteristics according to various operation modes were examined. First, the impact of full steam injection was investigated. Then, operations aiming to guarantee a minimum compressor surge margin, such as under-firing and partial steam injection, were investigated. The former and latter were turned out to be relatively superior to each other in terms of power and efficiency, respectively.

  • The dynamic stability of a robot vehicle can be enhanced by the Force-Angle Stability Margin concept that considers a variety of dynamic effects. To evaluate the robot vehicle stability, a SPI(stability performance index), which is a function of the suspension arm angles, was used. If the SPI has a minimum value, the robot vehicle has maximum stability. The FASM and SPI concepts were incorporated in the mobility simulation by using ADAMS and MATLAB/Simulink. The simulation results using these concepts showed significant improvements of the vehicle stability on rough terrains.

  • When reliability is estimated to be insufficient, a planner must take action to improve them. So, the measures for improving reliability are mainly considered in the planning process. In order to provide quantitative information concerning reliability evaluation, this paper-describes an algorithm to find reserve margin in power system planning. The IEEE Reliability Test System(RTS) is used to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.
