  • In modern plant lndustry, dignosis system is an essential implement because a human operator cannot check the state of system all the time. The recent facility needs a computer system which is able to replace and extense the function of the human expert. Checking the state of the plant system, the computer system uses signals form sensors attached to the plant systems. But, It is difficult to predict the cause of the failure from the sensing signals. Because the relationship among the signals cannot be easily represented by mathematical models. So expert system based on a fuzzy rule and Neural network method is sugguested. Expert system decide whether aa state of the system is ordinary of failure by the evaluation of the signals. If the state of the system is unstable, expert system preprocess the signals. When fault is occurred in the machine, the expert system dignoses the state of the system and find the cause as a primary tool. If the expert system dose not find the adequate cause successfully, neural network system uses the preprocessed signals as an input and propose a cause of the failure.

  • product to assign objectives for target manufacturing cost on the basis of consumer's function envaluation. The principal purposes of the study include: to improve product differentiation for those products with major usability functions and to prepare effective steps of product concept formulation. Since scant research has been conducted toward the approach suggested above, this study suggests a new method using conjoint analysis for classifying goals of manufacturing costs based on customer's function evaluation. The ultimate goal of this study is to compare and check. The cost estimate for each structure, and eventually to decide target cost values to be reasonably understood by the R&D team.

  • C language is frequently used to develop application and system programs. However, programs using C language are vulnerable to buffer overflow attacks. To prevent buffer overflow, programmers have to check boundaries of buffer areas when they develop programs. But vulnerable programs frequently result from improper programming habits and mistakes of programmers. Existing researches for preventing buffer overflow attacks only inform programmers of warnings about vulnerabilities and not remove vulnerabilities in advance so that the programs still include vulnerabilities. In this paper, we propose a function translator which prevents creating programs including buffer overflow vulnerabilities. To prevent creating binary from source including vulnerabilities, the proposed translator searches vulnerable functions which cause buffer overflows, and converts them into secure functions. Accordingly, developing vulnerable programs by programmers which lack in knowledge on security can be prevented.

A Study of Periodic Solutions of Typical Relay Servo System (릴레이 제어기구 조기해법에 관한 연구)

  • A relay servo, one of the nonlinear sytsems, is inherently compact compared to a linear system for an equivalent control problem. The power element or actuator is not adjusted proportionally in accordance with an error signals but rather is switched abruptly between several discrete conditions. Usually switched conditions are off, full, forward or full reverse. The relay system is a particularly simple and compact one, but probably more effort has been expended on its analysis and design than on all other systems together. Early studies in the art were made by Goldfarb, austin, Oppelt and Kochenburger on the describing function method, which can be used as an approximate check on the stability of the system. The describing function method is based on the assumption that any periodic wave could be approximated as a fundamental one in wide ranges of practical applications. A relay servo system usually operates on a limit cycle condition as the loop gain increases. The stability analysis compensation or any improvement effort based on the describing function method sometimes may present considerable discrepancies on physically realized practical systems. An approach to exact periodic solutions of a relay servo system is much important for the analysis, design and system improvement. This paper dells with periodic solutions of a relay servo system on the basis of describing function and generalized chopper wave form which is composed of infinite number of harmonic series. Various ways of graphical representation were attempted to get periodic solutions, some of which have shown its validity in rapid approach to exact solutions and also in judgement of system behavior.

Development of the Program for Reconnaissance and Exploratory Drones based on Open Source (오픈 소스 기반의 정찰 및 탐색용 드론 프로그램 개발)

  • With the recent increase in the development of military drones, they are adopted and used as the combat system of battalion level or higher. However, it is difficult to use drones that can be used in battles below the platoon level due to the current conditions for the formation of units in the Korean military. In this paper, therefore, we developed a program drones equipped with a thermal imaging camera and LiDAR sensor for reconnaissance and exploration that can be applied in battles below the platoon level. Using these drones, we studied the possibility and feasibility of drones for small-scale combats that can find hidden enemies, search for an appropriate detour through image processing and conduct reconnaissance and search for battlefields, hiding and cover-up through image processing. In addition to the purpose of using the proposed drone to search for an enemies lying in ambush in the battlefield, it can be used as a function to check the optimal movement path when a combat unit is moving, or as a function to check the optimal place for cover-up or hiding. In particular, it is possible to check another route other than the route recommended by the program because the features of the terrain can be checked from various viewpoints through 3D modeling. We verified the possiblity of flying by designing and assembling in a form of adding LiDAR and thermal imaging camera module to a drone assembled based on racing drone parts, which are open source hardware, and developed autonomous flight and search functions which can be used even by non-professional drone operators based on open source software, and then installed them to verify their feasibility.

  • Records Management System(RMS) is a system for managing electronic records in records centers. However, RMS cannot content itself with the purpose of introduction and user demands. This is caused by lack of understanding the user's RMS and a review of the lack of detailed features. Therefore, the aim of this study reviews and evaluates a detailed accession function of RMS. Firstly, the study reviewed a detailed function of accession in RMS. Analysing the business processes that each function carried out, it defined functional requirements and investigated functional compliance as the check list which produced by the functional requirements definition. Finally, it surveyed and interviewed public records managers and analyzed the present situation of functional implementation of records accession function. Afterwards, improvement plans and implications were proposed through comparison of global-standard.

Vertical System Testing Method For Efficient Error Tracing (효과적인 오류 추적을 위한 수직적 시스템 시험 방법)

  • In case of unit testing, White-box test can be used to closely check source code and to analyze logic and statement errors. On the other hand, in case of function testing of system level, Black-box test can be mainly used to compare actual and expected results by inputting test data because the scale of function is large. This Black-Box test in system testing level has problem in tracing errors in source code when we find errors. Moreover applying White-box test is not easy for system testing level because the levels of test target are different. Therefore this paper suggests the vertical test method of a practical and integrated system level which can checks up to source code level using White-box test style although it aims to test the highly abstract level like a system function. In addition, the experiment explains how to apply the vertical test by displaying an example which traces from UML specification model to the source code and also shows efficiency of error trace.

  • An experimental studies of conventional gasoline fuel pump were carried out to obtain fundamental data fur liquid phase LPG injection(LPLi) system. A regenerative type and a roller-vane type of pumps were investigated in various operational condition. The experiments were performed to obtain flow rate of LPG fuel as a function of pressure differences and temperatures. The regenerative pump had too low flow rate at some experimental conditions to use this pump system for LPLi fuel supply system. On the other hand, the roller-vane type pump can be applied to the system only if its check valve is modified. Cavitation might occur in this system which can result in system noise, flow rate variation, and pump durability problem. To solve these problems the system is needed to increase $NPSH_{re}$(required net positive suction head).

  • This paper proposes a system that utilizes USN(Ubiquitous Sensor Network), Bluetooth and smart phone to improve the function of senior houses. In typical approach, a system in a senior house either directly accesses the status of elderly people by its sensor or is alerted by elderly people who trigger an emergency bell, derive a decision and take an appropriate action. In addition, it is possible for a designated social worker to check the status of senior patients through monitoring system connected by UTP(Unshielded Uwisted Pair) cables, but the responsible person has to be present to monitor patients' status. However, the new system, suggested in this paper, embed Bluetooth function in a blood pressure gauge, thus the smart phone receives patients' health information such as blood pressure through Bluebooth, if any abnormal event occurs. Consequently, the smart phone sends SMS(Short Message Service) to a responsible social worker or a designated hospital. When this program in the paper becomes a reality, an unmanned system that is able to determine suitable actions for certain events will be established, even if a social worker were absence.

A Study On Missile Flight Simulation Method Using the Built-in Memory of Aviation Control Unit (비행제어장치 내장 메모리를 활용한 유도탄 모의비행기법 연구)

  • During the assembly and function inspection of missile system, flight simulation process is required. In the conventional flight simulation check of missiles, an inertial navigation system simulator was used to transmit the navigation output data acquired in HILS. There are several disadvantages in terms of check configuration complexity and data synchronization when using the simulator. So we proposed a new flight simulation method that utilizes the nonvolatile built-in memory of the aviation control unit. The data processing procedure and operation procedure of the proposed method for type I and type II missiles are presented. And we analyzed the causes of the difference between proposed method result and the HILS result for type II missile. By comparing the results obtained by the experiments using the proposed method with the results of HILS, the validity of proposed method was confirmed.
