스테레오정합과 신경망을 이용한 3차원 잡기계획 (3D Grasp Planning using Stereo Matching and Neural Network)

  • This paper deals with the synthesis of the 3-dimensional grasp planning for unknown objects. Previous studies have many problems, which the estimation time for finding the grasping points is much long and the analysis used the not-perfect 3-dimensional modeling. To overcome these limitations in this paper new algorithm is proposed, which algorithm is achieved by two steps. First step is to find the whole 3-dimensional geometrical modeling for unknown objects by using stereo matching. Second step is to find the optimal grasping points for unknown objects by using the neural network trained by the result of optimization using genetic algorithm. The algorithm is verified by computer simulation, comparing the result between neural network and optimization.

  • The objective of this research is to develop a robust design methodology for plastic injection molded parts wherein warpage will be minimized by a complex method which is a kind of a simple direct search method. The design space considered for optimization is divided Into two sub-design space : mold and process conditions. Warpage is quantified using the Moldflow injection molding simulation software. The design methodology was applied to an actual part of a fax machine, the Guide-ASF model, through two different design policies. The significance of this study is the synthesis of a computer simulation of injection molding process and optimization technique to determine the optimal robust design solution.

  • We have developed an optimization algorithm based formulation for performing efficient time driven simultaneous place and route for FPGAS. Field programmable gate array(FPGAS) provide of drastically reducing the turn-around time for digital ICs, with a relatively small degradation in performance. For a variety of application specific Integrated circuit application, where time-to-market is most critical and the performance requirement do not mandate a custom or semicustom approach, FPGAS are an increasingly popular alternative. This has prompted a substantial amount of specialized synthesis and layout research focused on maximizing density, minimizing delay, and minimizing design time.

ADS 최적화 프로그램을 이용한 사석 방파제의 경제성 설계에 관한 연구 (A Study of the Economic Design of Rubble Mould Breakwaters Using ADS(Automated Design Synthesis) Optimization Program)

  • In this paper, the method of determining the economically-optimal design section of rubble mound breakwater, using ADS program, was studied to supplement the deterministic approach. First of all, the design waves are computed, according to the return periods, using the Weibull distribution from the data of waves at the location of the breakwater. In order to take an optimal section, according to the return periods, the ADS program was used. The restriction conditions and objective functions are decided from the references of the specifications and standard manuals for Coastal and Harbor Construction Work. Results from this study support the ADS program as an appropriate method for determining the economically-optimal section of rubble mound breakwater, comparing the construction costs and the initial and damage repair costs for its life time.

  • Substructures position is considered as design parameter to obtain optimal structural changes to raise its dynamic characteristics. In conventional SDM (structural dynamics modification) method, the layout of modifying substructures position is first fixed and at that condition the structural optimization is performed by using the substructures size and/or material property as design parameters. But in this paper as a design variable substructures global translational and rotational position is treated. For effective structural modification the eigenvalue sensitivity with respect to that design parameter is derived based on measured frequency response function. The optimal structural modification is calculated by combining eigenvalue sensitivities and eigenvalue reanalysis technique iteratively. Numerical examples are presented to the case of beam stiffener optimization to raise the natural frequency of plate.

  • This paper presents an optimum design of rotor-bearing system using a hybrid method to compute the solutions of optimization problem. The present hybrid algorithm namely Enhanced Artificial Life Algorithm(EALA), is a synthesis of an artificial life algorithm(ALA) and the random tabu search(R-tabu) method. We applied EALA to the optimum design of rotor-shaft system supported by the floating ring journal bearings. we will propose the optimum shape of rotor, position and shape of bearings. Through this study, we investigate the reliability and usefulness of EALA.

Optimization of Tannase Production by Aureobasidium pullulans DBS66

  • Tannase production by Aureobasidium pullulans DBS66 was optimized. The organism produced maximum tannase in the presence of 1% tannic acid after 36 h. Maximum gallic acid accumulation was observed within 36 h and tannic acid in the fermented broth was completely degraded after 42 h of growth. Glucose had a stimulatory effect on tannase synthesis at 0.1% (w/v) concentration. The organism showed maximum tannase production with $(NH_4)_2HPO_4$ as nitrogen source. Shaking speed of 120 rpm and 50-ml broth volume have been found to be suitable for maximum tannase production.

  • In this paper, waveguide banpass filters using H-plane step discontinuities are designed based on the field theory analysis and optimization of the resonator lengths as well as dimensions of discontinuities, instead of the conventional synthesis method based on the equivalent circuit. The waveguide inductive obstacles introduced by H-plane step discontinuities analyzed using mode-matching method and the generalized scattering parameters are derived. Using the derived scattering parameters of the discontinuities as well as those of resonators, waveguide bandpass filters are designed through optimization method, modified Razor search method proposed by J.H.Bandler. Using this design procedures, waveguide bandpass filters are designed and tested at X-band(center frequency 10GHz) as well as Ka-band(center frequency 35GHz).

전체 운동가능구간에 걸쳐 함수가 정의된 6절 함수발생장치의 최적설계 (Optimum Design of Six-Bar Function Generators with Prescribed Functions Defined for the Entire Motion Range)

  • An efficient method is proposed for the design of six-bar function generators with complex design tasks. Especially, the desired functions are defined for the entire motion ranges of the input variables. The design problem is defined as a nonlinear optimization problem. A concept of a weighted structural error is introduced for the definition of the objective function. Also simple branch identifiers are incorporated to eliminate the branch problems commonly encountered in a typical linkage synthesis problem. Two example problems of designing a Watt-II type double dwell mechanism and a Stephenson-III type double beat-up mechanism are demonstrated with numerical results. Constraints such as on the Grashof conditions and on the transmission angles are included for practical solutions.

  • A four-bar mechanism in consideration of the tolerances on link lengths and the clearances in joints is optimally designed by the method of stochastic analysis. The random nature of clearances and tolerances establishes a stochastic optimization design equation in which the parameters in the equation are described by random variables. In order to solve the design equation, the stochastic problem is converted into an equivalent deterministic one. The synthesis of four-bar mechanism for minimum mechanical and structural errors is carried out by the optimization techni- ques using Chebyshev spacing of precision points. By the results from the synthesized mechanism, the generated and desired motions are examined.
