  • This paper presents the characteristics analysis of Interior Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motors(IPMSMs). The development of this program is based on Matlab. In oder to achieve the development of the program, basis algorithm for IPMSMs analysis took advantage of equivalent magnetic circuit analysis technique. The equivalent magnetic circuit analysis for IPMSMs are based on a rotate synchronous d-q reference frame. The mathematical model of the d-q frame voltage equations is used frequently for the analysis of IPMSMs. This program can consider a cross saturation effect and a iron loss and mechanical loss, and provide fast analysis results of IPMSMs characteristics.

  • The inductance is an important parameter in order to analyze steady state of LSRM(Line-start Synchronous Reluctance Motor). If FEM(Finite Element Method) is used to compute the parameter according to the change of flux barriers and conductor bars, less analysis time is required. Therefore, this paper adopts equivalent magnetic circuit method to simply calculates inductance, and the result is verified by comparing with the results by FEM.

  • The problem in improving the positioning precision of a Permanent Magnet Linear Synchronous Motor (PMLSM) is the detent force caused by the interaction of the magnets with the teeth of stator. This paper presents 3-Dimensional Equivalent Magnetic Circuit Network Method (3-D EMCN) for the analysis of PMLSM. 3-D EMCN is a numerical analysis method which supplements magnetic equivalent circuit by using numerical technique. We analyzed the fields and forces of PMLSM in case of skewed magnet and axially segmented magnet construction.

  • It is well known that the speed of induction motor can be controlled in wide range by changing the second exciting e.m.f. of rotor circuit, but that is well not practised because of its complicated system. In order to simplify such a system, the Kramer system of which silicon rectifier substitutes for synchronous converter has analyzed in this paper. The result of this investigation show that in this system, only the equivlent synchronous speed it changed by second exciting e.m.f., but the mechanical output power, torque and power factor is not changed, and that this system is able to compensate the regulated speed on account of the load changed.

  • This paper deals with the quench characteristic analysis in high-Tc superconducting synchronous motor of five to six hundred watts capacity. First, the magnetic field distribution and ac losses of high-Tc superconducting motor with the additive flux damper circuit was derived and computer simulation was performed with the equivalent model using FEM. The simulation results show that the quench state lasts for about 0.3 seconds.

  • SO(Synchronous Oscillator)는 동기, 동조, 필터, 증폭, 분주를 하나의 과정으로 처리할 수 있는 회로망이며, CPSO(Coherent Phase Synchronous Oscillator)는 50에 2개의 외부 루프를 첨가함으로서 구성되며, SO의 모든 장점을 유지하면서 동조범위 안에서 위상차가 없는 것이 큰 특징이다. 본 논문에서는 CPSO의 이러한 성질을 이용하여 GPS (Global Positioning System)에서 많이 사용하고 있는 부호동기방식인 DLL(Delay Lock Loop)과 TDL(Tau dither Loop)을 대치할 수 있는, 회로가 간단하고 추적범위가 넓으며 동기가 용이한 CPSO를 GPS의 부호동기 시스템에 적용하였다.

  • Until now, method of equivalent circuit is generally used in analyzing the characteristic of the synchronous alternator. But this method can't apply when loads are connected to alternator. In this paper, we analyzed the load characteristic of the synchronous alternator with permanant magnet using 2-dimensional finite element method having voltage source. The loads of a alternator are battary and diodes which are used to rectify. also, we used half periodic boundary condition in the F.E.M calculation

  • This paper describes the generation region and suppression effect of the abnormal field voltage induced when the synchronous generator is switched to the infinite bus, the critical value of negative field current is calculated by simmulation which has parameters of the phase difference and voltatge ratio between the bus and the generator. The suppression effect of discharge resistance connected in parallel with the field circuit is also investigated. According to this study, the optimal value of discharge resistance which can suppress effectively the abnormal field voltage may be calculated.

  • This paper is presented about the development of magnetic levitation conveyor with a transverse flux linear synchronous motor (TFLSM). The TFLSM is proposed as the new type linear motor for the conveyor driving system. The flux density distribution. the thrust and etc. of TFLSM are analyzed by the finite element method. To analyze the dynamic characteristics of TFLSM, the parameter of equivalent circuit is calculated by the analytical method.

  • This paper presents an axial flux permanent magnet synchronous generator with a high power-to-weight ratio, dedicated for small-scale gearless wind power generation plants. For this purpose, a specific design is necessary to meet the imposed requirements. In this paper the design technique for the specifications is presented. The aim of the paper is also to discuss some of the first obtained test results and the involved demagnetizing problem (i.e. short-circuit).
