영구자석 동기전동기의 상수변동을 보상한 센서리스 제어 (Sensorless Control of a Permanent Magnet synchronous Motor with Compensation of the Parameter Variation)

  • 영구자석 동기전동기의 전동기상수 변동을 보상한 센서리스 제어를 제안한다. 실제시스템의 d축 및 q축 전류와 위치 예측기의 전동기 모델의 d축 및 q축 전류의 차이를 이용하여 회전자의 위치를 예측한다. 전동기가 회전방향을 바꿀 때 발생하는 낮은 속도에서 고정자 저항을 검출하고 온도변화에 의한 고정자 저항 및 유기전압 상수의 변동을 보상한다. 또한 회전자 위치 예측기의 이득은 전동기 속도에 따라 보상된다.

  • This paper presents a synchronous reluctance motor drive for maximum torque to current (MTC) considering magnetic saturation. Measured d-axis and q-axis inductances are used to obtain current angle vs. maximum torque curve using torque equation. Maximum torque to current control is achieved by the current angle and stator current for maximum torque from the current angle vs. maximum torque curve at a given torque reference.

  • This paper propose a method to design the rotor of synchronous reluctance motors(SynRM) for maximum torque and power factor by using DOE(design of experiment) with the design variables which are parameters of barriers and segments. In this process, there are problems that require lots of simulation time and number of simulations when calculating the both torque and power factor using the finite element method in order to find load angle, core loss per speed. In order to improve this problem, we calculate only value of flux linkage by finite element method, and can decrease analysis and the number of analysis time by applying steady state expression of the power factor and torque. Finally, in order to verify the characteristics of optimal model, we make prototype motor and compare with the conventional SynRM. In this experiment, we use the DC current decay test for calculating d-and q-axis inductance.

  • This paper presents characteristics of SynRM(Synchronous Reluctance Motor) that is compared with a high speed induction motor. SynRM is much suitable for high speed electric machines because of structural robustness. There are many kinds of SynRM according to the shape of rotors. Particularly, axially laminated anisotropic (ALA) rotor is suitable for high speed instruments. Characteristics of SynRM with ALA rotor is obtained from a governing voltage and torque equation mainly composed of d-axis and q-axis inductance that will be identified with finite element method.

A Study of General AC Machine Modeling with Matrix Vector Using DQ Transformation

  • AC machines are in wide use in industry and d-q transformation from 3 phase of a, b, c is commonly used to analyze these kinds of machines. The equivalent circuits of d and q axis are, however, generally cross coupled and difficult to analyze. In this study, a modeling technique of AC machine including induction and PM synchronous motors using matrix vector is proposed. With that model, it can not only explain the AC machines physically but also make it simple to analyze them. The separating process of d and q components is not needed in this model and this model can be applied to analyze asymmetric motors like IPMSM machine. With this technique, the model becomes simple, easy to understand physically, and yields results that are the same as those from other models. These simulation results of the proposed model for induction motor are compared with those of other models to verify the method proposed.

Design Optimization of Linear Synchronous Motors for Overall Improvement of Thrust, Efficiency, Power Factor and Material Consumption

  • By having accurate knowledge of the magnetic field distribution and the thrust calculation in linear synchronous motors, assessing the performance and optimization of the motor design are possible. In this paper, after carrying out a performance analysis of a single-sided wound secondary linear synchronous motor by varying the motor design parameters in a layer model and a d-q model, machine single- and multi-objective design optimizations are carried out to improve the thrust density of the motor based on the motor weight and the motor efficiency multiplied by its power factor by defining various objective functions including a flexible objective function. A genetic algorithm is employed to search for the optimal design. The results confirm that an overall improvement in the thrust mean, efficiency multiplied by the power factor, and thrust to the motor weight ratio are obtained. Several design conclusions are drawn from the motor analysis and the design optimization. Finally, a finite element analysis is employed to evaluate the effectiveness of the employed machine models and the proposed optimization method.

  • This paper deals with the estimation method on the initial pole position of a z-axis permanent magnet linear synchronous motor(PMLSM) without magnetic pole sensors such as Hall sensors. The proposed method takes account of the z-axis conditions such as the gravitational force and also the load conditions. The algorithm consists of two steps. The first step is to estimate the initial q-axis approximately by monitoring the movements at predefined different test q-axes. The second step is to estimate the real q-axis as accurately as possible based on the results at three different test q-axes. Experimental results on the z-axis PMLSM show good estimation characteristics of the proposed method.

  • In general, Vector control of synchronous reluctance motor(SynRM) is performed under the assumptions that all the parameters are constant and magnetizing flux saturation and iron loss effect can be negligible. Under these assumptions, however, torque nonlinear characteristic can be a possible performance deterioration when precision torque control is needed and operating speed is high. This paper proposes the method, in the Synchronous Reluctance Motor (SynRM), which select appropriate stator d,q-axis currents that the influence of iron core loss on the developed torque can be minimized, and shows that the proposed method is comparable to the algorithm which compensates the iron core loss effect.

New Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor Current Sensing Phase Delay Compensation Method

  • This paper presents a method that can improve the performance of permanent magnet synchronous motor current control by minimizing the measured current phase delay caused by the Low Pass Filter(LPF) used to cut off the noises that flowed in when feedback currents are measured. Although existing methods that change the Cutoff Frequency of the LPF can minimize phase delays during high speed rotations, their noise cutoff effects are much lower and this may lead to the decline of control performance. Therefore, in this study, an algorithm that can compensate current phase delays through relatively simple calculations from the synchronous motor d-q axis coordinate transformation matrix and the inverse transformation matrix is proposed and the validity of the proposed method is verified by comparing the waveform of the calculated current with the waveform of actual currents through simulations and experiments.

  • In this paper, the inductance characteristics of interior permanent magnet synchronous motor (IPMSM) considering cross-coupling effect is analyzed. It is known that the IPMSM has it's operating point at the saturated region. So the cross-coupling effect exists, therefore cross-coupling inductance exists. With the application of Fixed Permeability Method (FPM), we can obtain more exact inductance characteristics of IPMSM. In this paper, a novel method based on the FPM is proposed, which can consider the cross-coupling effect. And the cross-coupling inductance which is the analysis result is shown. Finally, the validity of proposed method is verified by the comparison with the experimental result.
