SDH network conversion system design for wireless transmission (무선 전송을 위한 SDH 네트워크 연동장치 설계)

  • In this paper, we have studied the devices needed for long distance wireless transmission of SDH network. This devices propose wireless transmission and measurement method of STM-1(basic transmission unit of SDH method) signal and 200Mbps synchronous ethernet. The synchronous clock recovery function is provided for STM-N transmission and synchronous ethernet transmission, and spare clock switching function is designed for stable synchronization. In addition, we discussed the measurement method of STM-N and synchronous Etherent communication method in wireless transmission section.

  • CCITT에 의해서 표준화 되고 있는 SDH(synchronous digital hierarchy)기본의 광대역 전송방식과 이의 향후 응용 방향에 대해 개관한다. 또한 광대역 전송방식으로서 고려될 수 있는 STM(synchronous transfer mode)망과 ATM(asynchronous transfer mod)망의 구조를 살펴보고 1991년도를 중심으로 일어나고 있는 이들 각각의 국내ㆍ외적인 표준화 동향, 기술개발 현황, 그리고 망구축 동향 등에 대해서 간단히 기술한다.

  • For frame synchronization in synchronous multiplexer based on SDH (Synchronous Digital Hierarchy), pointer justification mechanism (opinter adjustment) to compensate small frequency differences between the received uline clock and local clock is sed. But these pointer adjustment will introduce jitter onto tributary signal. This paper presents the bit leaking method to reduce those jitter to a level compatible with existing specification, where the simulation shows that this method reduces pointer adjustment jitter.

  • 인터넷의 폭발적인 성장으로 인하여 MAN(Metropolitan Area Network)은 기존 음성 트래픽 전송 중심의 SONET/SDH(Synchronous Optical NETwork/Synchronous Digital Hierarchy) 환경에서 데이터 트래픽을 수용 할 수 있는 MSPP(MultiService Provisioning Platform) 환경으로 변해가고 있다. 이러한 네트워크 환경에서 이종 망간의 스위칭 역할을 수행하는 NG-SDH장비는 각 망간의 OAM을 제공하기 위해 OAM(Operation/Administration/Maintenance)신호에 대한 IWF(InterWorking Function) 기능을 필요로 하게 된다. 본 논문은 이종 망간 OAM 기능 제공을 위한 IWF에 대해 분석, 정의하고 이를 기반으로 NG-SDH 장비 블록 내에서 이종망간 OAM 기능을 제공할 OAM 변환기를 설계하였다.

  • 본고에서는 광대역 multi-media 서비스를 제공하는 ATM(Asynchrous Transfer Mode) 기본 B-ISDN 전송망의 실현에 바탕을 두고, ATM 프로토콜 및 전달망의 구조 측면에서 ATM 신호경로의 설정과 이의 OAM(Operations, Administration and Maintenance) 방법,SDH(Synchronous Digital Hierachy) 기본 ATM 전송로의 구성, 그리고 관련 전송망 요소들에 대해 제시한다. 또한 기존 PDH(Plesiochronous Digital Hierarchy) 기본망으로부터 SDH-ATM 망으로, 그리고 기존 서비스 전용망으로부터 B-ISDN 으로의 진화전략을 전송망 측면에서 고찰한다.

Implementation of Co-Channel Radio Relay System and Its Performance Evaluation with Synchronous Digital Hierarchy (동기식 디지틀 계위의 동일채널 무선 전송장치구현 및 성능분석)

  • In this paper, as a way of improving the availability and spectral efficiency of radio relay system, a co-channel radio relay system based upon the synchronous digital hierarchy is developed and its performance measured by 64-QAM with a never-seen multi-purpose ASIC chip is illustrated. This system provides a couple of transmission capacity compared with alternative channel arrangement. By adopting a powerful complex 13-tap adaptive time domain equalizer and cross-pol interference canceller, improvement of more than 1.5 ~ 2.0 dB in signature is obtained in comparison to 9 or 11-tap adaptive time domain equalizer, and about 22.5 dB in improvement factor of cross-pol interference canceller is achieved at C/N of 24.5 dB. In addition, digital filter makes it possible to optimize the occupied bandwidth by selecting an appropriate roll-off factor externally. It is expected that co-channel radio relay system with the powerful multi-purpose ASIC chip plays a key role in creating a value-added product, reliability, and reducing the outage time.

  • In this paper we propose a new timing recovery method by means of utilizing service data filling rate instead of timing information of transmitter. A proposed algorithm controls the phase locked loop in the opposite direction ot data filling rate of FIFO in receiver, and it is based on the fact that average of cell jitters is zero. The proposed method is simple compared with timing information method of transmitter. It can be utilized for timing recovery in synchronous digital hierarchy as well as in plesiochronous digial hierarchy without common reference clocks in end-to-end erminals. We implement the interactive video communication system and test the proposed algorithm. As a result, we hav econfirmed that it yields good perfomrnces in terms of jitters characteristics and hardware complexity.

  • The paper describes a design process of the connection control function that performs overall procedures of optical network control system in the Next Generation - Synchronous Digital Hierarchy (NG-SDH) based transport system. Here, the NG-SDH means a new SDH technology that could perform automatic connection control with a granularity of VC-3 (about 50M) or VC-4 (about 150M) according to the increase and decrease of traffic, which is different from the existing technology that could perform connection control only with a granularity of a physical SDH link (STM-l, STM-4, STM-16, STM-64, STM-256 etc). The NG-SDH based connection control allows an ingress NG-SDH node to control the appropriate connection establishment process according to connection types such as Permanent Connection (PC), Soft Permanent Connection (SPC), Switched Connection (SC) over various SDH and Ethernet line cards.

  • In this paper, a method of one line transmission of 622Mbps to interface a low speed part with a high speed part is introduced instead of H-BUS method of the 10 line transmission of 77.76Mbps in the 10Gbps optical transmission system. For this method, a reframing method to align the received data of 622Mbps transmission to STM(Synchronous Transfer Mode)-64 frame of SDH(Synchronous Digital Hierarchy) is described. Reframing is designed with VHDL and applied in the 10G-S4 ASIC of T14U board of 10Gbps optical transmission system.
