In this paper, we analyze the channel estimation method by using Reference symbols for burst OFDM transmission systems. We set some parameters (the number of Reference symbols, the pilot spacing in Reference symbols, the update constant of equalizer coefficients) to evaluate their performance in the fixed multipath fading channel as like indoor environment.

In 1982, N. Miller [5] showed a weighted $L^p$ boundedness theorem for pseudo differential operators with symbols $S^0_{1.0}$. In this paper, we shall prove the pointwise estimates, in terms of the Fefferman, Stein sharp function and Hardy Littlewood maximal function, for pseudo differential operators with reduced symbols and show a weighted $L^p$-boundedness for pseudo differential operators with symbol in $S^m_{\rho,\delta}$, 0{$\leq}{\delta}{\leq}{\rho}{\leq}1$, ${\delta}{\neq}1$, ${\rho}{\neq}0$ and $m=(n+1)(\rho-1)$.

Herein, we consider uplink multiuser massive multiple-input multiple-output systems when multiple users transmit information symbols to a base station (BS) by applying simple space-time block coding (STBC). At the BS receiver, two detection filters for each user are used to detect the STBC information symbols. One of these filters is for odd-indexed symbols and the other for even-indexed symbols. Using constrained output variance metric minimization, we first derive a special relation between the closed-form optimal solutions for the two detection filters. Then, using the derived special relation, we propose a new blind adaptive algorithm for implementing the minimum output variance-based optimal filters. In the proposed adaptive algorithm, filter weight vectors are updated only in the region satisfying the special relation. Through a theoretical analysis of the convergence speed and a computer simulation, we demonstrate that the proposed scheme exhibits faster convergence speed and lower steady-state bit error rate than the conventional scheme.

Blind equalization techniques have been used in broadcast and multipoint communications. In this paper, two criteria of minimizing Euclidian distance between two probability density functions (PDFs) for adaptive blind equalizers are presented. For PDF calculation, Parzen window estimator is used. One criterion is to use a set of randomly generated desired symbols at the receiver so that PDF of the generated symbols matches that of the transmitted symbols. The second method is to use a set of Dirac delta functions in place of the PDF of the transmitted symbols. From the simulation results, the proposed methods significantly outperform the constant modulus algorithm in multipath channel environments.

People have their own cultural backgrounds and experiences in terms of visual perceptional thinking so that they could misunderstand the cultural symbols, trademarks, Brand Identities, and trade characters, especially, animal trademarks. Sometimes Easterners and Westerners seem to not comprehend the different meanings of the cultural symbols. The signs of twelve Chinese zodiac animals are the typical symbol of the Asian mythology. What I wanted to focus on emphasizing the different views and perspective of an animal trademark is according to the Chinese Zodiac between Eastern and Western cultures. Generally, multiple symbolisms are difficult to comprehend, because they are created by individual ideas and incorporate several mythologies and histories. How do Westerners interpret the implied meaning of Eastern animals in general? How are they going to understand the Eastern animal logos or marks accurately? How can we solve the problem to make people understand their different meanings? There were some confusing pictorial images in the area of the design field when a designer creates an animal mark for globalization and localization. Creating of hybrid symbol is the best way to break the communication barriers with people all around the world.

In this paper, we propose a subcarrier allocation method and a composite linear minimum mean square error (LMMSE) channel estimator to increase spectrum efficiency in orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) transmit diversity. The pilot symbols for OFDM transmit (Alamouti) diversity are exclusively allocated in two OFDM symbols in different antennas, which causes serious degradation of spectrum efficiency. To reduce the number of pilot symbols, our subcarrier allocation method uses repetition-coded data symbols, and the proposed channel estimator maintains good bit error rate (BER) performance.

A signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) enhancement algorithm using multiple chirp symbols with clock drift is proposed for accurate ranging. Improvement of the ranging performance can be achieved by using the multiple chirp symbols according to Cramer-Rao lower bound; however, distortion caused by clock drift is inevitable practically. The distortion induced by the clock drift is approximated as a linear phase term, caused by carrier frequency offset, sampling time offset, and symbol time offset. SNR of the averaged chirp symbol obtained from the proposed algorithm based on the phase derotation and the symbol averaging is enhanced. Hence, the ranging performance is improved. The mathematical analysis of the SNR enhancement agrees with the simulations.

The purpose of this study is to express display space according to a way of symbols' meanings, to apply and study the way that systemizes, specifies and objectifies the approaches to designs when the space is expressed. The study will present applicable characteristics in expressing the display space by analyzing visitors' symbolic nature prior to the specification of space expression. The study way is to analyze the definition, structure, system, characteristic and meaning-applied ways of the symbols through symbolic theoretical considerations, to show communication's accessibility applying the symbol-produced ways to the relationship between the conception and the components in expressing the exhibition space and finally to present the way to express the exhibition space through the symbols' meaning-produced ways.
