This paper introduces symbols from Ghana, the 'Adinkra', and expands upon the concepts associated with it. In other words, the world view, values and scalability that appear to form philosophical thoughts in everyday life. 'Adinkra' are symbols from Ghana in West Africa. Adinkra means 'goodbye' or 'farewell'. There are some 400 Adinkra symbols, but the meanings of the symbols have been lost. The first book on Adinkra is 'The Adinkra Dictionary' (1998) by W. Bruce Willis. Adinkra is related to the Ghanaian culture, and represents concepts such as philosophical ideology, history, historical figures, myths, legends, animals, plants, etc. In the old days, because of its meaning-'goodbye' or 'farewell'-Adinkra was generally used for funerals. But today, Adinkra is utilized in a full range of cultural events and activities. Each of the 'Adinkra' has various meanings. According to Willis, Adinkra is ever-evolving and constantly expanding. As a matter of fact, Adinkra continues to expand, evolve and develop. Nevertheless, no books have been published on Adinkra since Bruce Willis (5 May 2016 to the present). Adinkra provides insights into the rich philosophical, educational, and historical significance of Africa. Therefore, Adinkra requires evolution, expansion, and research. In this study, we will examine the Adinkra, divided into four categories. The first is related to God and the powers, the second is related to moral education. The third symbolizes 'love' and 'friendship'. and lastly, the fourth is 'life' and 'death'.

In this paper, a synchronization method of OFDM signals are introduced and its performance is estimated. A proposed method can perform a frame/symbol timing, carrier frequency synchronizations. Reference symbols consist of two duplicate OFDM symbols carrying signals on every sub-carriers. Performances of synchronization under 60GHz millimeter-wave indoor channels are evaluated, which were measured with frequency-sweeping method in common office buildings. A proposed method has improved performances owing to long averaging durations of synchronization metrics in frame/symbol timing, carrier frequency synchronization procedures.

We compute explicitly the matrices represented by Toeplitz operators on the Hardy space over the unit circle with respect to a special orthonormal basis constructed by author in terms of their symbols. And we also find a necessary condition for the matrix generated by the product of two Toeplitz operators with respect to the basis to be a Toeplitz matrix by a direct calculation and we finally solve commuting problems of two Toeplitz operators in terms of symbols. This is a generalization of the classical results obtained regarding to the orthonormal basis consisting of the monomials.

We obtain a characterization of commuting Toeplitz operators with holomorphic symbols acting on the pluriharmonic Bergman space of the polydisk. We also obtain a characterization of normal Toeplitz operators with pluriharmonic symbols. In addition, some results for special types of semi-commutators are included.

In this paper we give necessary and sufficient conditions that two Toeplitz operators with monomial symbols acting on the weighted Bergman space commute. We also present necessary and sufficient conditions for the hyponormality of Toeplitz operators with some special symbols on the weighted Bergman space. All the results are stated in terms of the Mellin transform of the symbol.

In this paper, a fine residual frequency offset estimation scheme is proposed for multiband orthogonal frequency division multiplexing ultra-wideband (MB-OFDM UWB) systems. The basic idea of our approach is based on the fact that two adjacent OFDM symbols carry the identical information in the MB-OFDM UWB system, thus removing the need of pilot symbols. The mean square error of the synchronization scheme is evaluated and simulation results are used to verify the effectiveness of the proposed estimator. When compared to the pilot-aided conventional estimator, the proposed estimator has a lower estimation error.

In this paper, we are concerned with hyponormal Toeplitz operators on the Hardy space of the unit circle. Our main result of this paper is to provide a simple and transparent proof on the hyponormality of Toeplitz operators with symmetric-type symbols via Schur complement lemma.

This research studied the classification and meanings of symbols on the clothes of he Koran catholic priest. The results are as follows. 1) Symbol of religios spirits and values. - There are many spirits of crist which require to keep and meanings of innocence. 2) Symbol of status - served to symbolize the conscious change from earthy to ordaned man. 3) Symbol of role - differentiate between the role of priest and aid-priest. 4) Symbol of position(or rank) - indicate the position of priests in catholic church. 5) Symbol of situation. 6) Symbol of ritual ceremony - characterized the ritual ceremony.

This paper represents a survey of a variety thresholding techniques including both global and local thresholding. Several thresholding methods are examined in detail to evaluate their performance based on a given set of test images. We also attempt to evaluate the performance of several thresholding methods for construction field documents image recognition system using a broken line structures, broken symbols and text, blurring of lines, symbols and text, noise in homogeneous areas measure as a criterion functions.

In this letter, we propose a channel estimation algorithm based on incremental pilots. These are pilots additionally inserted after puncturing the modulated orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) symbols to enhance channel estimation performance without lowering bandwidth efficiency. A low-density parity-check code puncturing scheme is also proposed to prevent the performance degradation due to the codeword bit loss caused by punctured OFDM symbols.
