Particle Swarm Optimization based on Vector Gaussian Learning

  • Gaussian learning is a new technology in the computational intelligence area. However, this technology weakens the learning ability of a particle swarm and achieves a lack of diversity. Thus, this paper proposes a vector Gaussian learning strategy and presents an effective approach, named particle swarm optimization based on vector Gaussian learning. The experiments show that the algorithm is more close to the optimal solution and the better search efficiency after we use vector Gaussian learning strategy. The strategy adopts vector Gaussian learning to generate the Gaussian solution of a swarm's optimal location, increases the learning ability of the swarm's optimal location, and maintains the diversity of the swarm. The method divides the states into normal and premature states by analyzing the state threshold of the swarm. If the swarm is in the premature category, the algorithm adopts an inertia weight strategy that decreases linearly in addition to vector Gaussian learning; otherwise, it uses a fixed inertia weight strategy. Experiments are conducted on eight well-known benchmark functions to verify the performance of the new approach. The results demonstrate promising performance of the new method in terms of convergence velocity and precision, with an improved ability to escape from a local optimum.

  • 본 논문에서는 일반적인 신경회로망의 단점인 느린 학습속도를 획기적으로 개선한 네트워크인 Extreme Learning Machine과 전문가들의 언어적 정보들을 기술 할 수 있는 퍼지 이론을 접목한 퍼지 Extreme Learning Machine을 최적화하기 위하여 Particle Swarm Optimization 알고리즘을 이용하였다. 퍼지 Extreme Learning Machine의 활성화 함수를 일반적인 시그모이드 함수를 사용하지 않고, 퍼지 C-Means 클러스터링 알고리즘의 활성화 레벨 함수를 이용하였다. Particle Swarm Optimization 알고리즘과 같은 최적화 알고리즘을 통하여 퍼지 Extreme Learning Machine의 활성화 함수의 파라미터들을 최적화 한다. Particle Swarm Optimization과 같은 최적화 알고리즘을 통한 제안된 모델의 최적화 하고 최적화된 모델의 분류성능을 평가하기 위하여 다양한 머신 러닝 데이터 집합을 사용하여 평가한다.

  • Artificial intelligence can be cited as a key linkage technology for expanding drones' application fields, and drones combined with artificial intelligence are expected to improve drones' operational capabilities based on algorithms that can solve complex tasks through learning. The purpose of this study is to analyze various latest research cases that apply deep reinforcement learning to drones to solve limitations for performing swarm flight and to propose a new research direction that applies them to multi-agent communication optimization technology. The process of the research is to investigate and analyze the methods for efficient operation of control and communication technologies required for swarm flight to be successful, and to apply algorithms that have the advantage of exchanging richer feedback between agents and having less learning than conventional methods when learning deep reinforcement learning algorithms. It is expected that the efficiency and performance of learning communication protocols optimized for swarm flight will be improved, which will increase the efficiency of mission performance when exploring or scouting large areas through swarm flight in the future.

  • Fuzzy logic, neural network, fuzzy-neural network play an important as the key technology of linguistic modeling for intelligent control and decision making in complex systems. The fuzzy-neural network (FNN) learning represents one of the most effective algorithms to build such linguistic models. This paper proposes particle swarm optimization algorithm based optimal learning fuzzy-neural network (PSOA-FNN). The proposed learning scheme is the fuzzy-neural network structure which can handle linguistic knowledge as tuning membership function of fuzzy logic by particle swarm optimization algorithm. The learning algorithm of the PSOA-FNN is composed of two phases. The first phase is to find the initial membership functions of the fuzzy neural network model. In the second phase, particle swarm optimization algorithm is used for tuning of membership functions of the proposed model.

An Improved Cat Swarm Optimization Algorithm Based on Opposition-Based Learning and Cauchy Operator for Clustering

  • Clustering is a NP-hard problem that is used to find the relationship between patterns in a given set of patterns. It is an unsupervised technique that is applied to obtain the optimal cluster centers, especially in partitioned based clustering algorithms. On the other hand, cat swarm optimization (CSO) is a new meta-heuristic algorithm that has been applied to solve various optimization problems and it provides better results in comparison to other similar types of algorithms. However, this algorithm suffers from diversity and local optima problems. To overcome these problems, we are proposing an improved version of the CSO algorithm by using opposition-based learning and the Cauchy mutation operator. We applied the opposition-based learning method to enhance the diversity of the CSO algorithm and we used the Cauchy mutation operator to prevent the CSO algorithm from trapping in local optima. The performance of our proposed algorithm was tested with several artificial and real datasets and compared with existing methods like K-means, particle swarm optimization, and CSO. The experimental results show the applicability of our proposed method.

전이학습을 활용한 군집제어용 강화학습의 효율 향상 방안에 관한 연구 (Study on Enhancing Training Efficiency of MARL for Swarm Using Transfer Learning)

  • Swarm has recently become a critical component of offensive and defensive systems. Multi-agent reinforcement learning(MARL) empowers swarm systems to handle a wide range of scenarios. However, the main challenge lies in MARL's scalability issue - as the number of agents increases, the performance of the learning decreases. In this study, transfer learning is applied to advanced MARL algorithm to resolve the scalability issue. Validation results show that the training efficiency has significantly improved, reducing computational time by 31 %.

  • This paper proposes a distributed autonomous control method of swarm robot behavior strategy based on artificial immune system and an optimization strategy for artificial immune system. The behavior strategies of swarm robot in the system are depend on the task distribution in environment and we have to consider the dynamics of the system environment. In this paper, the behavior strategies divided into dispersion and aggregation. For applying to artificial immune system, an individual of swarm is regarded as a B-cell, each task distribution in environment as an antigen, a behavior strategy as an antibody and control parameter as a T-cell respectively. The executing process of proposed method is as follows: When the environmental condition changes, the agent selects an appropriate behavior strategy. And its behavior strategy is stimulated and suppressed by other agent using communication. Finally much stimulated strategy is adopted as a swarm behavior strategy. In order to decide more accurately select the behavior strategy, the optimized parameter learning procedure that is represented by stimulus function of antigen to antibody in artificial immune system is required. In this paper, particle swarm optimization algorithm is applied to this learning procedure. The proposed method shows more adaptive and robustness results than the existing system at the viewpoint that the swarm robots learning and adaptation degree associated with the changing of tasks.

Harmony Search 알고리즘 기반 군집로봇의 행동학습 및 진화 (Behavior Learning and Evolution of Swarm Robot based on Harmony Search Algorithm)

  • 군집 로봇시스템에서 개개의 로봇은 스스로 주위의 환경과 자신의 상태를 스스로 판단하여 행동하고, 필요에 따라서는 다른 로봇과 협조를 통하여 임의의 주어진 임무를 수행할 수 있어야 한다. 따라서 각 로봇 개체는 동적으로 변화하는 환경에 잘 적응할 수 있도록 하기 위한 학습 및 진화능력을 갖는 것이 필수적이다. 이를 위하여 본 논문에서는 Q-learning 알고리즘을 기반으로 하는 학습과 Harmony Search 알고리즘을 이용한 진화방법을 제안하였으며, 유전 알고리즘이 아닌 Harmony Search 알고리즘을 제안함으로써 정확도를 높이고자 하였다. 그 결과를 이용하여 군집 로봇의 로봇 개체 환경변화에 따른 임무 수행 능력의 향상을 검증한다.

  • 군집 로봇시스템에서 개개의 로봇은 스스로 주위의 환경과 자신의 상태를 스스로 판단하여 행동하고, 필요에 따라서는 다른 로봇과 협조를 통하여 어떤 주어진 일을 수행할 수 있어야 한다. 따라서 개개의 로봇은 동적으로 변화하는 환경에 잘 적응할 수 있는 학습과 진화능력을 갖는 것이 필수적이다. 본 논문에서는 SVM을 여러 개 이용한 강화학습과 분산유전알고리즘을 이용한 새로운 자율이동로봇의 행동학습 및 진화학습을 제안한다. 또한 개개의 로봇이 통신을 통하여 염색체를 교환하는 분산유전알고리즘은 각기 다른 환경에서 학습한 우수한 염색체로부터 자신의 능력을 향상시킨다. 특히 본 논문에서는 진화의 성능을 향상시키기 위하여 Cascade SVM을 기반으로 한 강화학습의 특성을 이용한 선택 교배방법을 채택하였다.
