This paper considers formal verification methods for enhancing software reliability. The formal method verifies that a software is correctly implemented according to its specification by using a mathematical formalism. This paper presents a partial survey on the formal methods and discusses possible applications for the improved software implementation. Finally, some topics are remarked as further studies.

There are increasing number of optical sky surveys for time-series observations, aiming to discover either photometric variations(variable stars, microlensing, or transients) or astrometric variations(near-earth objects, trans-neptunian objects). Some surveys, including YSTAR, use a single filter in order to increase the survey efficiency. However, the traditional method of atmospheric extinction and standardization requires the measurement of source color in at least two passbands. (omitted)

In this study, analyze the status and problem of a noise and vibration control laws of it through the questionnaire. The method of survey was made by questionnaires which were the civil worker 138 persons and civil servant 132 persons. Based on this survey, we suggest a improvement of the noise and vibration control laws.

Clustering is the process of grouping the data into clusters so that objects within a cluster have high similarity in comparison to one another. In this paper we used k-means clustering of several clustering techniques. The k-means Clustering is classified as a partitional clustering method. We analyze 2002 Gyeongnam social indicator survey data using k-means clustering techniques for environmental information. We can use these outputs given by k-means clustering for environmental preservation and environmental improvement.

Conventional window cleaning method has a number of limitations, for example, workers dependent and high crash risk. The purpose of this study is to derive the performance requirements of a window cleaning apparatus through technology survey. For this, we investigated the domestic and international patents related to window cleaning, and interviewed experts in the field of window cleaning and mechanical design. Through this research, we have proposed performance requirements of the window cleaning apparatus.

In this paper, wer propose many problems by analyzing the various currently statistics, propose the basic principal for the more precise performance of sample survey, and at the same time propose the method(principal) for detecting and manipulationg the source of error. Finally, we are to improving the statistical reliability and increasing the user's convenience by standardizing the statistical reporting form.

As the power industry moves towards open competition, there has been a call for methodology to evaluate power system reliability by using customer interruption costs. This paper presents an evaluation of the interruption costs for public customers in Korea using customer survey methodology. When various research results are examined, the evaluation of direct interruption costs becomes much more simplified. Especially, in the case of public customers, it is known that the evaluation of direct interruption costs is more useful. Accordingly, this paper selected the customer survey method to evaluate the interruption costs for public customers in Korea considering interruption and customer characteristics.

In this paper, we propose two methods for setting initial weights in the PLS algorithm which is employed to measure the customer satisfaction in SEM. Using data from the survey of the students conducted with the questionnaire of the ACSI survey, we evaluate the education service in terms of the satisfaction level of the students and compare our proposed methods with the previous method.

By joining the Giant Magellan Telescope (GMT) project, Korean astronomers will get 10% of the GMT time, starting in the late 2010s. To prepare the GMT era, it is important to evaluate the current observational research activities. We surveyed the research programs performed by domestic astronomers during 2007A - 2010A period, using optical/near - IR telescopes with a medium to large aperture mirror (larger than 4 m). We describe the method and criteria of the survey, and present the results of the analysis based on the collected data.

This paper presents the result of the estimation of the power interruption costs of Korean commercial customers. Commercial customers are usually located in urban areas and considered very important because a power interruption on them can expand to additional damage to related users. Their power interruption costs were calculated through a survey with the process of data selection. Also, the power interruption cost for each customer's business type was calculated and compared with that of foreign cases.
