This study is to evaluate T-apartment housing located in Inchon by the occupants. The purpose of the study is extracting the design guideline to improve the physical environment in apartment housing from understanding and analyzing the residents'satisfaction and their needs. In this study, the strategy for environmental improvements is suggested to raise the occupants'overall satisfaction from finding the improvement priority. The results of this study are as follows: - The satisfaction level of the occupants is above the moderate level (3.31/3.00). - The construction quality is the 1 st factor in the improvement priority. - The characteristics of the occupants in this survey are that they are conservative in their present physical environment, but that they also need new trends in the unit plan.

The purpose of this study is for researching consumptions of the Korean and Japanese's consumers and qualities on the bananas which rank first in market share of the fruits market. The survey was conducted from the 180 Korean women living in Gangnam and Bundang. It was also compared and analyzed on the basis of data from the Japanese's R company. This analysis was done using SPSS 12.0 Vir. and analyzed according to its purposes. First, the difference between Korea and Japan in terms of bananas intake was studied. Second, consumption situations and types of Korean and Japanese's women were compared and analyzed. Therefore, this is the basic analytic study for finding out Korean consumers' recognitions and purchase behaviors on the bananas compared those of Japan. This will be utilized as useful material to understand the domestic consumers' consumption behaviors of the bananas which are one of the imported agricultural products.

We survey 3,857 journal articles published on the four domestic academic journals in the industrial engineering field during 1975~2012. Titles, abstracts, and keywords of the papers are searched by means of text mining technique to draw the information on the methodologies and techniques adopted in the papers, and then we aggregate and merge similar ones to obtain final 38 representative methodologies and techniques. Trends of these methodologies and techniques are studied by analyzing frequencies, clustering, and finding association rules among them. Results of the paper can shed a light to choose tools in the future education and research in the industrial engineering related area.

This study is about finding out characteristic of recognition individual housing in seaside of Donghae. To accomplish this purpose, we survey the 150 houses related to the landscape. Thus the major analysis is to take basic data, such as image(modern, western, traditional, etc) about exterior form of housing corresponding to the landscape. The result summarized as follows First, the elements for the characteristic of recognition were exterior material finish, exterior color, roof type, roof material finish, window size, roof slope, area of wall vs roof. Second, the image of traditional housing was very insufficient to plan landscape of housing with design elements. This research suggests that landscape housing of future is to be environmental landscape design and the proper design is to be various considering not only user's preference but also control of landscape.

An Electrical facilities of fountain is one of the vulnerable facilities because it is exposed to water. Especially, some children enter the fountain and play in the water in the hot season. For example, death from electrical shock in fountain was reported in domestic and foreign papers. In this paper, we analyzed the riskiness of electrical shock on the basis of a fact-finding survey and comparing the domestic and international standard of electrical facilities in fountains.

This study aims to develop strategic diagnosis framework of performance by identifying and analysing the dynamics of the technology commercialization ecosystem in innovative region. To achieve the purpose of this study, the systems thinking approach is used. The systems thinking approach connects feedback structure and behavior more explicitly to diagnosis vicious feedback loop in the regional technology commercialization ecosystem. In terms of an ecological point of view, it will be possible to explore dominant feedback structure and find leverages to overcome the limitations of regional technology commercialization performance. The diagnosis of reenforcing and balancing feedback structure is based on the statistical analysis of the survey data which has been collected in a cluster random sampling method, targeting on the 200 firm located in the Pangyo and Daeduk region. The results from this research showed that the regional technology commercialization ecosystem was immature and faced limit to the growth. An important finding of this study was that regional technology commercialization ecosystem need to activation of startups and reinforcement of virtuous feedback structures of technology commercialization market systems.

This paper analyzes the determinants of firm's innovative activity, using Korean Innovation Survey (KIS) dataset. Especially, we focused on the role of external networks by partners(other firms or research institutions) in performing innovative activities. The product innovation, product improvement, and process innovation are used as proxies for innovative activity. The explanatory variables such as market concentration ratio, lagged profitability, foreign ownership, export ratio, firm's age, formal R&D activity, and industrial R&D intensity are also considered. With data from 1,124 firms for the two years (2000-2001), we estimated the logistic regression model. The finding is that the determinants of firm's innovative activities differ by type of innovations. We also found that the innovative behavior of SMEs differs from that of large firms. The result confirms that external networks have a strong positive effect on innovative activity. However, the network effects by partners vary across both firm size and type of innovations.

A 12-year-old dog was evaluated for depression and anorexia. The results of complete blood count and serum biochemistry were normal. Survey radiographs revealed markedly enlarged right kidney and abdominal ultrasound showed a renomegaly and hydronephrosis filled with mixed echogenic fluid. Primary renal tumor was suspected in this dog. Nephroureterectomy of the right kidney was performed, and no regional metastases have been identified. Transitional cell carcinoma (TCC) arising from renal pelvis accompanied hydronephrosis of the right kidney was diagnosed on histology. TCC usually affects trigone of the bladder, and renal origin of TCC is a very rare finding in dogs. This is the first case report to present the clinical features, diagnostic imaging findings and histopathological characteristics of a dog with TCC originating from the renal pelvis in Korea.

Business firms have been expressing a strong interest in an effective structure of computing resources. In this respect previous studies provide some guidelines about the deployment of hardware, but the question of which information systems (IS) would be run under the dispersed hardware is still unanswered. The main purpose of the study is to analyze the relationship between various IS characteristics and the distribution of IS. The IS characteristics studied in this research include the usage frequency of IS in a dispersed plant, the currency of information required by the headquarter, the data volume processed in the plant, the relatedness of IS with other information systems in the plant. The survey was performed over the domestic, large manufacturing firms. The most noticeable finding is that the more the updated information is required in the headquarter, or the more related IS is to other information systems in the plant, the more IS is distributed.
