Electronic structures of Fe overlayers on Cr(Fe/Cr) films, with an Fe coverage of $1-20{\AA}$, have been investigated by using photoemission spectroscopy. Experimental results are compared with supercell band structure calculations for a system with monolayer (ML) Fe on each side of five layer Cr, Fe(1ML)/Cr(5ML)/Fe(1ML). The extracted Fe 3d partial spectral weight in Fe/Cr exhibits very interesting features for very thin Fe overlayers. First, a sharp emissionnear the Fermi energy is observed, which is expected to originate primarily from hybridization between Fe and Cr 3d electrons at the Fe/Cr interface, and partially from the Fe 3d surface states in the Fe overlayer. Second, other structures are observed at higher binding energies which resemble the Cr 3d valence bands, also suggesting large hybridization between Fe and Cr 3d states at the Fe/Cr interface. These conjectures are confirmed by band structure calculations for Fe(1ML)/Cr(5ML)/Fe(1ML).

This study was composed of four treatments [no treatment, phosphate + limestone layer treatment, phosphate + sodium bicarbonate + cement layer treatment, and phosphate + sodium bicarbonate + limestone layer treatment] for figuring out vegetation effects on the acid drainage slope. Treated acid neutralizing techniques were effective for neutralizing acidity and vegetative growth in order of [first: phosphate + sodium bicarbonate + limestone layer treatment, second: phosphate + sodium bicarbonate+cement layer treatment, third: phosphate + limestone layer treatment and fourth: no treatment] on the acid drainage slope. We found out that sodium bicarbonate treatment was additory effect on neutralizing acidity and increasing vegetaive growth besides phosphate and neutralizing layer treatments. In neutralizing layer treatments, Limestone layer was more effective for vegetation and acidity compared to cement layer treatment. Cement layer showed negative initial vegetative growth probably due to high soil hardness and toxicity in spite of acid neutralizing effect. Concerning plants growth characteristics, The surface coverage rates of herbaceous plants, namely as Lotus corniculatus var. japonicus and Coreopsis drummondii L were high in the phosphate + sodium bicarbonate + limestone layer treatment while Festuca arundinacea was high in the phosphate + sodium bicarbonate + cement layer treatment. We also figured out that soil acidity affected more on root than top vegetative growth.
Purpura fulminans is a serious condition that can result in severe morbidity in the pediatric population. Although autologous skin grafts remain the gold standard for the coverage of partial- to full-thickness wounds, they have several limitations in pediatric patients, including the lack of planar donor sites, the risk of hemodynamic instability, and the limited graft thickness. In Singapore, an in-house skin culture laboratory has been available since 2005 for the use of cultured epithelial autografts (CEAs), especially in burn wounds. However, due to the fragility of CEAs, negative-pressure wound therapy (NPWT) dressings have been rarely used with CEAs. With several modifications, we report a successful case of NPWT applied over a CEA in an infant who sustained 30% total body surface area full-thickness wounds over the anterior abdomen, flank, and upper thigh secondary to purpura fulminans. We also describe the advantages of using NPWT dressing over a CEA, particularly in pediatric patients.
Chemical mechanical planarization (CMP) is a technology that planarizes the surfaces of semiconductor devices using chemical reaction and mechanical material removal, and it is an essential process in manufacturing highly integrated semiconductors. In the CMP process, a conditioning process using a diamond conditioner is applied to remove by-products generated during processing and ensure the surface roughness of the CMP pad. In previous studies, prediction of pad wear by CMP conditioning has depended on numerical analysis studies based on mathematical simulation. In this study, using an artificial neural network, the ratio of conditioner coverage to the distance between centers in the conditioning system is input, and the average conditioning density, standard deviation, nonuniformity (NU), and conditioning density distribution are trained as targets. The result of training seems to predict the target data well, although the average conditioning density, standard deviation, and NU in the contact area of wafer and pad and all areas of the pad have some errors. In addition, in the case of NU, the prediction calculated from the training results of the average conditioning density and standard deviation can reduce the error of training compared with the results predicted through training. The results of training on the conditioning density profile generally follow the target data well, confirming that the shape of the conditioning density profile can be predicted.
With recent developments in digital dentistry, research on techniques and materials for three-dimensional (3D) printing is actively underway. We report the clinical applications and outcomes of 3D printing of temporary crowns fabricated with polylactic acid (PLA) using a fused deposition modeling (FDM) printer. Five participants were recruited from among patients scheduled to be treated with a single full-coverage crown at a dental clinic in a university medical center from June to August 2022. We used 3D-printed crowns fabricated with PLA using an FDM printer as temporary crowns and were assessed for discomfort, fracture, and dislodging. The 3D-printed temporary crowns were maintained without fracture, dislodging, or discomfort until the permanent prosthesis was ready. The average time required for printing the temporary crowns was approximately 7 minutes. The 3D printing of temporary crowns with PLA using an FDM printer is a convenient process for dentists. However, these crowns have some limitations, such as rough surface texture and translucency; therefore, the 3D printing process should be improved to produce better prostheses.
Silver stabilizing layer of coated conductor has been prepared by dip coating method using organic silver complexes containing 10 wt% silver as a starting material. Coated silver complex layer was dried in situ with hot air and converted to crystalline silver by post heat treatment in flowing oxygen atmosphere. A dense continuous silver layer with good surface coverage and proper thickness of 230 nm is obtained by multiple dip coatings and heat treatments. The film heat treated at $500^{\circ}C$ showed good mechanical adhesion and crystallographic property. The interface resistivity between superconducting YBCO layer and silver layer prepared by dip coating was measured as $0.67\;{\times}\;10^{-13}\;{\Omega}m^2$. Additional protecting copper layer with the thickness of $20\;{\mu}m$ was successfully deposited by electroplating. The critical current measured with the specimen prepared by dip coating and sputtering on same quality YBCO layer showed similar value of ~140 A and proved its ability to replace sputtering method for industrial production of coated conductor.

In order to improve the coverage and achieve massive spectrum access, non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) technology is applied in millimeter wave massive multiple-input multiple-output (mMIMO) communication network. However, the power assumption of active sensors greatly limits its wide applications. Recently, Intelligent Reconfigurable Surface (IRS) technology has received wide attention due to its ability to reduce power consumption and achieve passive transmission. In this paper, spectral efficiency maximum problem in the millimeter wave mMIMO-NOMA system with IRS is considered. The sparse RF chain antenna structure is designed at the base station based on continuous phase modulation. Furthermore, a joint optimization problem for power allocation, power splitting, analog precoding and IRS reconfigurable matrices are constructed, which aim to achieve the maximum spectral efficiency of the system under the constraints of user's quality of service, minimum energy harvesting and total transmit power. A three-stage iterative algorithm is proposed to solve the above mentioned non-convex optimization problems. We obtain the local optimal solution by fixing some optimization parameters firstly, then introduce the relaxation variables to realize the global optimal solution. Simulation results show that the spectral efficiency of the proposed scheme is superior compared to the conventional system with phase shifter modulation. It is also demonstrated that IRS can effectively assist mmWave communication and improve the system spectral efficiency.

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effect of preservation of the tibial remnant on the synovialization of graft tendon after the reconstruction of anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) based on the second look arthroscopic findings. Materials and Methods: From May 2005 to May 2012, among sixty three patients having ACL reconstruction with the four-strand hamstring using a bioabsorbable cross pin (RigidFix$^{(R)}$) for the femoral tunnel, nineteen patients who had second look arthroscopy were analyzed. We classified them into three groups according to the tibial remnant of the torn ACL for arthroscopic findings. Group 1 had less than 5 mm of a remnant tissue, Group 2 had from 6 mm to 10 mm of it, and Group 3 had more than 11 mm. We estimated the percentage of synovial coverage on the graft tendon during second look arthroscopy. We evaluated Lysholm score and Tegner activity score preoperatively and in the last follow-up. Results: At the time of ACL reconstruction, the mean length of preserved tibial remnant of torn ACL was 2.3 mm in Group 1, 7.4 mm in Group 2, and 13.7 mm in Group 3. In the second look arthroscopy, the average percentage of synovial coverage was 55.4% in Group 1, and 77.9% in Group 2, and 89.7% in Group 3. Lysholm score and Tegner activity score improved from 74.2 and 7.3 preoperatively to 94.1 and 8.5 in the last follow-up. Conclusion: The preservation of tibial remnant of torn ACL influenced the synovial coverage of the graft tendon and the volume of preserved remnant in accordance with the surface of synovial coverage. It would have a good effect on graft healing and preservation of proprioceptive function.

The impervious ratio was frequently employed as a fundamental attribute will be used as a proxy of the total environmental burden in the urban area since it may contribute as much or more on a cumulative basis to the overall environmental condition. This research proposes a comparative evaluation framework in a more objective and Quantitative way for an impervious ratio in the university campus, using the Google Earth. Two university campuses (Kyungpook National University: KNU, Hong Kong University: HKUJ were selected as survey objectives in order to evaluate the potential of Google Earth in monitoring impervious conditions in the campus. The 61cm resolution of Quickbird data combined with digital map realistically identified the major type of impervious surface such as road, building and parking lots in the study area by large scale spatial precision. The impervious zones with persistently high road density and parking space were specifically identified over the KNU campus while the HKC campus was intensively covered by tree, resulting in almost twice (31%). as compared to KNU (18.4%), The methods of characterizing impervious surface used in this study are easily replicable using data that are primarily publicly available, and therefore the collection of impervious coverage data via Google Earth is, therefore, proposed as a practical alternative.

Organic-inorganic metal halide perovskite solar cells have received attention because it has a number of advantages with excellent light harvesting, high carrier mobility, and facile solution processability and also recorded recently power conversion efficiency (PCEs) of over 20%. The major issue on perovskite solar cells have been reached the limit of small area laboratory scale devices produced using fabrication techniques such as spin coating and physical vapor deposition which are incompatible with low-cost and large area fabrication of perovskite solar cells using printing and coating techniques. To solution these problems, we have investigated the feasibility of achieving fully printable perovskite solar cells by the blade-coating technique. The blade-coating fabrication has been widely used to fabricate organic solar cells (OSCs) and is proven to be a simple, environment-friendly, and low-cost method for the solution-processed photovoltaic. Moreover, the film morphology control in the blade-coating method is much easier than the spray coating and roll-to-roll printing; high-quality photoactive layers with controllable thickness can be performed by using a precisely polished blade with low surface roughness and coating gap control between blade and coating substrate[1]. In order to fabricate perovskite devices with good efficiency, one of the main factors in printed electronic processing is the fabrication of thin films with controlled morphology, high surface coverage and minimum pinholes for high performance, printed thin film perovskite solar cells. Charge dissociation efficiency, charge transport and diffusion length of charge species are dependent on the crystallinity of the film [2]. We fabricated the printed perovskite solar cells with large area and flexible by the bar-coating. The morphology of printed film could be closely related with the condition of the bar-coating technique such as coating speed, concentration and amount of solution, drying condition, and suitable film thickness was also studied by using the optical analysis with SEM. Electrical performance of printed devices is gives hysteresis and efficiency distribution.
