전기방사를 통한 정전필터제조 및 특성분석 (Characteristic Analysis of Electret Filters made by Electrospinning)

  • Electret filter media are used in general ventilation filters, disposable respirators, vehicle cabin filters, vacuum cleaners and room air cleaners. There are basic mechanisms of interception, inertial impaction, diffusion, gravitational settling, electrostatic attraction by which an aerosol particle can be deposited onto a fiber in a filter. The ability of fine particle removal strongly depends on the electrostatic forces between particles and polarized fibers. Thus, the stability of the fiber polarization is a major factor in the reliability of electret filters. In this study, electrical properties and filtration performance of electrospun filter media are quantitatively investigated. Electrical properties of electrospun filters have been studied on surface charge potential and surface charge density. Also the filtration performance of the electret filters are evaluated on collection efficiency. Electrospun filters show same collection efficiency with low pressure drop compare to commercialized HEPA filters. Surface charge potential and surface charge density of electrospun filters are increased with increasing applied voltage. Also collection efficiency of electrospun filters is increased with increasing surface charge potential and surface charge density.

  • A high-order spectral/boundary-element method is newly adapted as an efficient numerical tool. In this method, the velocity potential is expressed as the sum of surface potential and body potential. Then, surface potential is solved fly using the high-order spectral method and body potential is solved fly using the high-order boundary element method. Through the combination of these two methods, the wave-making problems fly a submerged sphere moving with the large amplitude oscillation are solved in time-domain. With the example calculations, nonlinear effects on free-surface profiles and hydrodynamic forces are shown and discussed.

CMP 가공된 사파이어웨이퍼의 웨이퍼내 표면전위에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Zeta-potential of CMP processed Sapphire Wafers)

  • The sapphire wafer was polished by the implementation of the surface machining technology based on nano-tribology, The removal process has been performed by grinding, lapping and chemical-mechanical polishing. For the chemical mechanical polishing process, the chemical reaction between the slurry and sapphire wafer was investigated in terms of the change of Zeta-potential between two materials. The Zeta-potential was -4.98 mV without the slurry in deionized water and was -37.05 mV for the slurry solution. By including the slurry into the deionized water the Zeta-potential -29.73 mV, indicating that the surface atoms of sapphire become more repulsive to be easy to separate. The average roughness of the polished surface of sapphire wafer was ranged to 1∼4$\AA$.

Effect of Surface Charge in Hydrophobicity of Insulating Material and Decay of Surface Voltage after Corona Charging

  • This paper presented the effects of accumulation of surface charges on hydrophobicity level and the surface states of silicone polymer used for outdoor insulator treated by ultraviolet irradiation and corona discharge through measuring surface voltage decay of a corona-charged specimen were investigated. The surface resistivity by the method of the surface potential decay was compared with the value by the three electrodes methods. From this study, it was found that the accumulation of surface charges above a critical surface voltage on silicone insulating materials could lead to the temporary loss of surface hydrophobicity. In addtion, uv stress lead to a longer decay time of surface charges. We could conclude that the effects of surface charges on hydrophocity level and the changes of surface state by various artificial treatments were understood through a trend of surface potential decay.

SOI MOSFET의 모든 동작영역을 통합한 해석적 표면전위 모델 (A Unified Analytical Surface Potential Model for SOI MOSFETs)

  • 본 논문에서는 부분공핍(partially-depleted : PD) 영역과 완전공핍(fully-depleted : FD) 영역을 나누는 임계 전면 게이트 전압 V/sub c/의 해석적 표현을 이용해서 PD 영역과 FD 영역의 천이를 정확히 설명하는 해석적 표면전위 모델(analytical surface potential model)을 소개한다. 이 모델은 모든 동작영역(subthreshold에서 strong inversion까지)에서 유효하고 반복 계산 절차 (iteration procedure)인 수치 해석적 방법보다 훨씬 짧은 계산시간이 걸린다. 이 모델에 기초한 charge sheet 모델이 모는 동작영역에 유효한 드레인 전류의 단일 공식을 유도하는데 사용된다. 대부분의 secondary 효과들이 charge sheet 모델에 쉽게 포함되고 그 모델의 결과들은 수치해석 결과와 실험 결과를 비교적 정확히 일치한다. 세 가지의 smoothing 함수가 사용될지 라도 표면전위 미분 값은 연속이다 더욱 중요한 점은 smoothing 함수에 사용된 파라미터들은 공정 파라미터들에 크게 의존하지 않는다.

  • In the evaluation of aging degradation on the structural materials based on the fracture mechanics, the detection and size prediction of defect are very important. Aiming at nondestructive detection and size prediction ol defect with high accuracy and resolution, therefore, an lnduced Current Focusing Potential Drop(ICFPD) technique has been developed. The principle of this technique is to induce a focusing current at an exploratory region by an induction wire flowing an alternating current(AC) that is a constant ampere and frequency. Defects are assessed with the potential drops that are measured the induced current on the surface of metallic material by the potential pick-up pins. In this study, the lCFPD technique was applied for evaluating the location and size of the surface crack and blind crack made in plate specimens, and also for detecting the defects existing in valve, a field component, that were developed by SCC etc. during the service. The results of this present study show that surface crack and blind crack are able to defect with potential drop. these cracks are distinguished with the distribution of potential drop, and the crack depths can be estimated with each normalized potential drop that are parameters estimating the depth of each type crack. In the field component, the defects estimated by experiment result correspond with those in the cutting face of the measuring point within a higher sensitivity.

축소형 모델 접지전극의 매설깊이에 따른 위험전압의 분석 (Analyses of Hazard Voltages According to the Buried Depth of Small-sized Model Grounding Electrode)

  • 본 논문은 축소형 모델 접지전극이 접속된 금속제 구조물 주변의 대지표면전위분포와 위험전압에 대하여 기술하였다. 접지에 관련된 문제를 실제 현장데이터로부터 적정한 결론을 도출하기는 매우 어려우므로 접지전극 주변의 전위분포와 접촉전압, 보폭전압의 산정에 축소형 모델시험을 사용한다. 본 연구에서는 균질토양을 모의하기 위해 직경이 1,100[mm] 반구형 용기를 사용하였다. 실험결과, 접지전극 주변의 대지표면전위는 매우 높게 나타났으며, 특히 접지전극의 직상부의 대지표면전위는 다른 위치에 비해 높게 나타났다. 접지전극의 매설깊이가 증가함에 따라 대지표면전위와 보폭전압은 낮아지지만 접촉전압은 높아지는 것으로 나타났다.

플라즈마 처리한 고분자 복합재료의 표면특성변화 (Surface static properties in polymer hybrid material after plasma treatment)

  • 본 연구는 플라즈마 처리한 고분자 복합재료 표면의 접촉각, X-선광전자분광법(XPS) 및 코로나 대전에 의한 표면 정전특성을 분석하여 발생된 화학적 변화와 정전적 특성 변화를 고찰하여 열화 메커니즘을 도출하였다. 플라즈마 처리된 시료의 접촉각 및 표면전위는 표면에 카르복실기 라디칼을 포함하는 다량의 측쇄화가 집중적으로 발생되어 처리시간에 따라 급격한 친수화가 진행되었다. 플라즈마 처리로 인한 화학적 변화에서 표면에 carboxyl 라디칼이 주로 형성되면서 급격히 표면 친수화로 변화하였다. 정전변화를 분석한 전위감쇠 결과에서 미처리 시료는 부극성 표면을 나타내었으나, 친수화 표면은 carboxyl 라디칼(-COO*)을 포함하는 정극성 라디칼로 인해 정극성 표면으로 변화하여 부극성 전하가 빠르게 감소하였다.

  • The effects of particle size on the surface properties of hydro-thermally synthesized barium titanate powders were investigated by means of particle size analysis, specific surface area, SEM, zeta potential and XPS. Particle sizes were measured by laser light scattering and are in the range of 150 to 1100nm. Zeta potential increased with increasing particle size and it was large minus value in the range of particle size from 500 to 900nm, which seems to be related with the dissolution of $Ba^{2+}$ ion in these particle sizes from the analysis of surface properties by XPS.
