영동대설 예보지원시스템 개발 (Development of Yeongdong Heavy Snowfall Forecast Supporting System)

  • The Yeong-dong heavy snowfall forecast supporting system has been developed during the last several years. In order to construct the conceptual model, we have examined the characteristics of heavy snowfalls in the Yeong-dong region classified into three precipitation patterns. This system is divided into two parts: forecast and observation. The main purpose of the forecast part is to produce value-added data and to display the geography based features reprocessing the numerical model results associated with a heavy snowfall. The forecast part consists of four submenus: synoptic fields, regional fields, precipitation and snowfall, and verification. Each offers guidance tips and data related with the prediction of heavy snowfalls, which helps weather forecasters understand better their meteorological conditions. The observation portion shows data of wind profiler and snow monitoring for application to nowcasting. The heavy snowfall forecast supporting system was applied and tested to the heavy snowfall event on 28 February 2006. In the beginning stage, this event showed the characteristics of warm precipitation pattern in the wind and surface pressure fields. However, we expected later on the weak warm precipitation pattern because the center of low pressure passing through the Straits of Korea was becoming weak. It was appeared that Gangwon Short Range Prediction System simulated a small amount of precipitation in the Yeong-dong region and this result generally agrees with the observations.

  • 강재형 댐퍼는 주로 철골구조에서 많이 사용되어 왔으나 최근에 들어 철근콘크리트 건물에도 사용빈도가 증가하는 추세이다. 철근콘크리트 건물에 강재이력댐퍼를 적용하기 위해서는 댐퍼의 접합부재가 댐퍼의 지지능력을 보 및 벽체로 전달하기에 적합한 강도와 강성을 지녀야만 한다. 하지만 균열로 인한 철근콘크리트 요소의 손상은 부득이한 것으로, 댐퍼로부터 지지부재로의 하중전달 메커니즘과 댐퍼 지지부재 이력특성의 규명은 이러한 댐퍼의 거동을 평가하는데 매우 중요하다. 이에 이 연구에서는 EaSy 댐퍼와 같은 강재판형 이력댐퍼의 지지부재와 RC벽체와의 접합상세를 대상으로 실험을 실시하였다. 실험 결과 전단과 관련된 균열의 양과 패턴을 제외하고는 모든 실험체의 파괴패턴은 거의 동일한 것으로 나타났으며, 잘 분산된 균열을 지닌 HD-3 실험체가 에너지소산능력, 강성저하 그리고 강도저하 측면에서 좋은 거동을 보여주었다.

병원 간호조직의 구조유형에 따른 간호조직특성과 직무만족과의 관계 (The Relationships Between The Hospital형s Organizational Pattern For Nursing, Organizational Characteristics Perceived By Nurses and Their Job Satisfaction)

  • This study identified the relationships between the hospital’s organizational pattern for nursing, the organizational characteristics perceived by nurses and their job satisfaction. The study subjects were a convenience sample of 383 staff nurses working at 10 general hospitals with more than 300 beds in Seoul. Hospitals included in the study were classified Into five organizational patterns, where nursing was organized as an independent but lower level, attached to the medical department, attached to a department supporting medicine, and various other organizational pattern. The data were collected from July 10 to August 15, 1992. The organizational characteristics as perceived by the staff nurses were measured by Park & Yoon’s Scale (1986) and job satisfaction was measured by Slavitt’s Scale (1978). The data were analyzed by percentage distribution, Pearson’s correlation, x$^2$-test, t-test, ANOVA, and ANCOVA The summarized results are as follows : 1. The proportion of independent and attached nursing organizational patterns was 35.1% and 54.9% respectively. 2. There were differences between four general characteristics of the nurses, age, experience, position and education level, and the five structural types of nursing organization(p〈.05). 3. 1) There were no relationship between the perceived organizational characteristics and general characteristics of the nurses but there was a differ once in job satisfaction according to education level of nurses in hopitals where nursing was an independent department(T=-2.24, p〈.05). 2) There were differences in the perceived organizational characteristics according to age group and experience of nurses (F=3.26, 5.41, p〈 , 05)and in job satisfaction according to the position of nurses in the independent but lower level organizational pattern (T=2.26, p〈.05). 3) There was a difference in the perceived organizational characteristics according to age group (F=3.19, p〈 .05) and in job satisfaction according to the experience of nurses where nursing was attached to the medical department (F=3.49, p〈.05). 4) There was a difference in the perceived organizational characteristics according to nursing unit (F=3.19, p〈 .05), but none between job satis-faction and general characteristics of nurses where nursing was attached to a departiment supporting medicine. 5) There were no relationships between the perceived organizational characteristics and job sat isfaction and general characteristics of nurses in the various other organizational patterns. 4. Nurses in hospitals where nursing is organizationed as an independent department perceived their organizatianal pattern more positively and had higher job satisfaction than nurses working in hospitals where nursing is part of another department. 5. There were differences between perceived organizational characteristics and job satisfaction according to the organizational patterns for nursing (F=13.52, 8.76, p=.0000). 6. There were correlations between the perceived organizational characteristics and job satisfaction of nurses working in two independent nursing departments (r=0.2180, 2351, p〈.05). In conclusion, the relationship between perceived organizational characteristics and job satisfaction was significantly correlated in the hospitals where the nursing department is independent. Perceived organizational characteristics and job satisfaction depended on whether the nursing department is independent from or attached to other departments in the hospital. For nurses job satisfaction the nursing department should be independent from other departments and at the highest level of organization in the hospital.

  • This paper explains outline of a behavior analysis program for underground structures, and its application to a tunnel problem. The program can deal with elasto-plastic behavior of medium and supporting structures, discontinuous behavior due to existing joint, creation and propagation of cracks. in-situ loading condition, and incremental behavior due to stepwise excavation, etc. The program also has additional capabilities such as graphic output of mesh, displacement pattern, stress condition, and safety factor contour, and automatic mesh generation during the excavation steps.

  • The characteristics of smart skin for wireless LAN system under compression load are investigated. The smart skin structure is composed of 3 layers of face material and 2 layers of core material. Theoretical formula for determining buckling load is derived by Rayleigh-Ritz method and compared with experimental result. The maximum length of specimen that buckling does not occur is determined by only face material. In the experiment, if load supporting capability and the antenna property such as radiation pattern and reflection coefficient were examined.

Ecological resilience of soil oribatid mite communities after the fire disturbance

  • This study investigated the impact of the fire disturbance and the pattern of recovery of soil dwelling oribatid mite communities with respect to the resilience from the fire disturbance. Oribatid mites are important decomposer animals of plant debris in soil with the feeding habits of saprophagy and mycophagy. Massive wild fire reduced soil oribatid mite abundance and diversity. The impact varied relative to the intensity of the disturbance. The proportion of the species common to the non-disturbed natural site increased as the time after the disturbance elapsed, which implying some degree of naturalness occurring in reorganization phase of the oribatid mite community. From the sites with different degree of fire impact, we found higher diversity in intermediately disturbed sites than in severely disturbed or non-disturbed site, supporting the intermediate disturbance hypothesis. Also this study showed that with differential degree of disturbance plots, resilience pattern after the disturbance can be explored even with shorter period research relative to the ecological succession of community.

  • The linearized suffix tree (LST) is an array data structure supporting traversals on suffix trees. We apply this LST to two dimensional (2D) suffix trees and obtain a space-efficient substitution of 2D suffix trees. Given an $n{\times}n$ text matrix and an $m{\times}m$ pattern matrix over an alphabet ${\Sigma}$, our 2D-LST provides pattern matching in $O(m^2log{\mid}{\Sigma}{\mid})$ time and $O(n^2)$ space.

  • A virtual keyboard may be efficient as a new mobile input device supporting QWERTY keyboard layout. As a preliminary study for developing a virtual keyboard, the typing pattern of a skilled human is investigated. In the study the touch-positions of the fingers are measured with a touchscreen while five skilled typists perform typing of long sentences. From these measurements it can be observed that the groups of touch-positions are classified into alphabetic characters. Though there are some mismatches, we can find constant distances capable of being discriminated among the groups. Based on the analysis the prediction algorithm of the constant distance is proposed and evaluated, which is useful for realization of a portable virtual keyboard.

대구 지하철 터널의 적정지보패턴 선정에 관한 연구 (Optimum Support Pattern Design of the Tae-Gu Subway Tunnel)

  • This is a Double-Track Railway tunnel in typical Tae-Gu black and gray shale forming part of the No.1 Line of the Tae-Gu Subway. The main fault zone at tunnel is a moderately to highly weathered and closely jointed zone, 0.5 m wide with associated paralled jointing which is slickensided and fractured. After excavation by blasting, the soft rocks should need to be reinforced with optimal supporting pattern which might be better redesigned through the consideration of the results of in-situ rock measurements at the field. Performances fo the field tests included Point Load Test, Schmidt Hammer Test, and field joint measurement gave the detail data for the optimum support design and safe excavation of the No.1 Line of Tae-Gu Subway at the No.1-7 consturction site adn the safety of this redesigned supports system was analysed by the FDM program FLAC.

데이터 마이닝 기반 침입탐지 패턴 알고리즘의 설계 및 구현 (Design and Implementation of the Intrusion Detection Pattern Algorithm Based on Data Mining)

  • 본 논문에서 우리는 방대한 패킷 데이터로부터 침입탐지를 위한 규칙들을 자동으로 생성하는 방법으로 기존 연관규칙을 연역적 알고리즘을 분석하고, 그 결과를 기반으로 침입탐지 시스템에 적용되기 위한 침입 패턴 규칙들을 빠르게 생성할 수 있도록 연연적 알고리즘을 제안하였다. 본 논문에서 제안한고 있는 연역적 알고리즘은 대량의 데이터를 항목별로 분류하고 제거하는 클러스터링 개념에 적합하도록 설계하였다. 이 알고리즘은 적용될 침입탐지 시스템 패턴 생성 및 분석 모듈 방식에 직접적으로 연계되어 있으며, 이것은 침입탐지 시스템에 관한 패턴관리를 위한 규칙 데이터베이스를 구축함으로서 응용범위의 확장은 물론 기존 침입탐지 시스템의 탐지속도를 높일 수 있다. 제안된 연역적 알고리즘의 패텅 생성 기법은 침입탐지 시스템에서 생성되는 데이터의 지원율에 따라 적절히 변경될 수 있는 알고리즘을 사용하였으며, 이 기법에 의한 규칙 생성율의 향상에 따른 규칙생성 속도개선 가능성에 대해 알고리즘 시뮬레이션을 통하여 분석하였다.
