The Cost-benefit Analysis of the Community Care Service Centers for the Elderly (재가노인복지사업의 비용편익 분석)

  • Government provides financial support to the 74 Home help service centers, 36 Day care service centers, and 18 Short stay service centers for the elderly. The number of service centers that receive financial support from the government is far less to meet the potential demand for the community care services. This paper applies cost-benefit analysis to evaluate the net social benefit of the services provided by the 3 types of the community care service centers sponsored by the government to justify the expansion of the government support. The benefit is calculated as community care services are provided privately in the market without financial support from the government. The potential market price is regarded as the benefit or value provided to the elderly. The price levels that potential users are willing to pay for these services are surveyed in the Census for the Elderly by the KIHASA, 1998. The market prices for the community services are generated by equating limited amount of service supply, as in number of users in one year in 3 types of community care service centers, and potential demand for the services. Market prices are multiplied to the number of users of 3 types of community centers to get the total benefit. Total operating cost of the community care service centers is regarded as cost. According to the cost-benefit analysis, Home-help service centers generated net social benefit of 137 billion Won, Day Care service centers generated 15 billion Won, and Short stay service centers generated 6 billion Won. Significant amount of net social benefit indicates that government should increase level of financial support to these service centers.

The Mediating Effects on Relationship Quality Between Support Services of Franchisor and Re-Contract Intention in Food Service Franchise (외식 프랜차이즈 가맹본부 지원서비스와 재계약 의도 간의 관계품질의 매개효과에 관한 연구)

  • This paper aims to investigate the moderating effects of relationship quality between support services of food service franchisor and performance(re-contract intention) in food service franchise. For analyzing the relationship of them, the support services of food service franchisor categorized with initial service and continuous service. Also, the factors of relationship quality(satisfaction, trust, commitment) classified into detailed subfactor by confirmatory factor analysis. As a result, we found some statistically significant effects between the support services of food service franchisor and factors of relationship quality, and they sequentially affects to re-contract intention. Also, it's analyzed that factors of relationship quality have a role as a moderating variables by research model. That is, as a presented with previous research, there is verified that relationship quality is caused by support services of food service franchisor. Also, relationship quality factors significantly affect to performance(re-contract intention). Some guidelines for practicing potential food service franchise as a result of this would include; first of all, it is important to support the potential food service franchise consulting approach for some competitive advantage; secondly, effective governmental support programs for food service franchise should be developed for positive impacts of according to these results.

  • In recent university classes, consistent effort to improve co-operative interaction and communication between student and professor utilizing SNS(Social Network Service) is being made. This research conducted survey study with 137 pre-teachers in Daejeon & Chungnam area in order to find the relationship between pre-teachers' ego resilience, level of social support and awareness of the instructional outcome in classes that incorporate SNS. According to the result, it has been found that male's class satisfaction is higher than female's class satisfaction, while significant correlations have been found between ego resilience-social support, social support-class satisfaction, social support-semester satisfaction, and class satisfaction-semester satisfaction. Also, ego resilience and social support have significant effect on awareness of the instructional outcome. From these results, a rather close attention towards students' characteristics and their adaptation in class is needed in order to successfully carry out classes that incorporate various new media.

  • With the advent of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, the central axis of the industry is shifting to SMEs, and online is becoming the center of marketing. In this regard, this study is aimed at the service quality and the characteristics of companies as the factors for the activation of SMEs' online export support projects and their performance creation. The study conducted a survey of companies applied for the government's online export support project. As a result, it was found that the reliability of the service quality and the characteristics of the company (CEO's will, Trade Expert), except for convenience, have a significant effect on the service utilization and performance. Accordingly, in order to revitalize the online export support business of SMEs, it is necessary to improve the human competence of enterprises and the reliability of service quality of supporting institutions. This study is meaningful in that it confirms the importance of the credibility required by the support organization as well as the characteristics for strengthening the capability of the company. However, there are limitations in not reflecting various factors of service quality and company characteristics.

The Relationship between the Career Preparation Behavior, Parental Social Support, Career Decision Making Self-Efficacy, and the Career Maturity of the Pre-Service Elementary School Teachers (교육대학생의 진로준비행동과 부모의 사회적 지지, 진로결정자기효능감 및 진로성숙의 관계)

  • The purpose of this study was to identify a causal relationship in the career preparation behavior, parental social support, career decision making self-efficacy and the career maturity of the pre-service elementary school teachers. A total of 374 questionnaires were used for data analysis, excluding the 23 copies deemed insincere in response. To ensure the reliability and validity of the questions, technical statistics of the frequency, ratio, average, standard deviation, skewness, and kurtosis via PASW 18.0, item-total correlation, the totality, and the reliability analysis. The structural analysis via AMOS 7.0 in the bootstrapping method was undertaken to perform the path analysis among the variables and to assess the suitability of the model. The findings of the study led to the following conclusions: First, the causal model for the career preparation behavior, parental social support, career decision making self-efficacy, and the career maturity of the pre-service elementary school teachers is suitable to empirical analysis on research variables. Second, the career decision making self-efficacy of pre-service elementary teachers has direct effect on career preparation behavior positively. Third, parental social support of the pre-service elementary teachers has indirect effects on the career preparation behavior positively.

The effects which work events were experienced by employees on the service quality in local healthy family support center: mediating effect of affective reaction and job satisfaction (건강가정지원센터 종사자가 경험하는 작업사건이 서비스 질에 미치는 영향: 정서반응과 직무만족의 매개효과)

  • The purposes of this study were to examine effects which work events and affective reaction were experienced by employees on job satisfaction and service quality in local healthy family support center for family health enhancement. For the purpose, survey were conducted with employees working in 56 local healthy family support centers in Seoul and Gyeonggi region, and final data were resulted from analysis of 319 examines of those employees. The results of this study were as follows. First, work events had a significant effect on the affective reaction. Second, affective reaction had a significant effect on the job satisfaction. Third, job satisfaction had a significant effect on the service quality. Fourth, affective reaction worked as mediators between the work events and job satisfaction, affective reaction and job satisfaction worked as double mediators between work events and service quality. Based on those findings, we can propose practical and political implications towards improving service quality considering the work experience of personnel in the healthy family support center.

  • The purpose of the study is to develop mobile support services areas and detail mobile support service items according to their convention activities and analyze user preference. For this aim, a qualitative to extract mobile support service areas and detail mobile service items targeted to convention participants and a expert survey to analyze user preference are used. Firstly, based on a precedent study and expert review 20 mobile service areas and 43 detail service items are extracted. Secondly, results from expert survey are presented exploring user preferences for detail service items designed for convention participants.

  • 기업의 IT 환경이 시스템 중심에서 비즈니스 중심으로 바뀌어감에 따라, IT Process 관리를 위해 ITIL 모델 기반의 Service Support 시스템들이 개발되고 있다. 대다수의 이들 시스템들은 application 관리 기능을 다루고 있지 않으나, application 의 변경으로 인한 장애 발생을 최소화하고, 장애발생 시 비즈니스에 어떠한 영향을 미치게 될지 짧은 시간 내에 진단하고 복구하는 것은 장애관리 측면에서 중요한 기능이라고 할 수 있다. 이러한 기능은 application 이 시스템에 의해서 관리되고 비즈니스와 application, infrastructure 의 연관관계가 Knowledge DB 를 통해 축적됨으로써 더 효율적으로 운영될 수 있다. 따라서, 본 논문은 기존의 Service Support 시스템에 application 관리 프로세스를 보완하여 기능을 개선하고자 하였다.

Determinant Factors of Service Orientation for Human Resources of Long Term Care Facility (노인장기 요양시설 종사원의 서비스 지향성 결정요인에 관한 연구)

  • Purpose - This study is to propose discriminative management strategies to long-term care facilities based on the empirical analysis after reviewing the effects of social support, perceived by long-term care facility employees, to service orientation. Research design, data, and Methodology - The research model designed social support, job stress, organizational commitment, and service orientation. The survey collected data from 453 customers in a long-term care facility in jeju. The SPSS 18.0 package was used for analysis. Results - First, social support for long-term care facility employees has a negative(-) effect to job stress. Test results, social support factors except appraisal support had a negative impact on job stress. Second, social support has a positive(+) effect to organizational commitment. Test results, informational support, tangible support and appraisal support had significant effects on organizational commitment. However, emotional support had a positive impact on affective commitment and normative commitment. Third, social support has a positive(+) effect to service orientation. Test results had a positive impact. Fourth, job stress has a negative(-) effect to organizational commitment. In the test results, employee's continuance commitment and normative commitment had significant negative effects in job stress. However, affective commitment had no significant impact. Fifth, job stress has a negative(-) effect to service orientation. Test results showed a negative impact. Conclusions - The study implies the following. First, that there should be a change in the social perception of long-term care facilities. 'Long-Term Care Insurance for The Elderly' was enacted to emphasize this responsibility for the elderly problems as a new system. Enactment of this Act was expected to improve the quality of life of the people by stabilizing the elderly life and reducing the burden of families. Therefore, long-term care facility system should be as efficient as possible for making plans for systematic and organizational support. Second, the efforts of facility managers to minimize job stress of employees is necessary. Accordingly, performing spontaneous work is required for a comfortable working environment and management. Third, the systematic education and training to employees for service oriented behavior of the facility will be required in the long term.

The Research for the Activation of Treatment Related Service According to the 'Special Education Law': Focusing on Physical.Occupational Therapy ('장애인 등에 대한 특수교육법' 시행에 따른 치료지원서비스 활성화 방안 : 물리.작업치료를 중심으로)

  • Background: This thesis aims at suggesting the direction for the introduction of public free treatment support system according to the establishment of [Special Education Law] and the right settlement of therapeutic support service. Method: It introduced the characteristics and the contents of school based PT & OT, diagnosis and evaluation, and operation method. It set up question items and presented intervention plan, and substantial intervention, beginning from the request of whole process. The diagnostic evaluation was described from 4 aspects, which are consideration matters in the time of document drawing and diagnostic evaluation, chiefly centering around SOAP. The flow of overall treatment support service, the allocation of 16 handicapped children for 1 therapist, and the weekly treatment frequency according to the treatment support location and environment were suggested in the concrete operation method. Result: The concrete method should be explored in order to provide handicapped students with requisite services, which are offered by various experts in the amended 'Special Education Law'. In addition, work condition and social welfare, which are equal to school teachers, should be provided for all experts. Conclusion: Along with these things, special education support center should establish the road-map for the education rehabilitation of the handicapped children from the evaluation of early diagnosis of the handicapped children to treatment support and lifelong education.
