The goal of this study was to establish the evaluation method, which consist of the principle, factor, procedure and checklist, on environmental camp program and then to support staffs of environmental camp for decision-making to improve pre-program and develop new one. The main principles of the evaluation method established in this study were Hierarchical holism and Open inter-communication. First, hierarchical holism focused at the interaction among six factors, which were divided by 3 steps : 1) goal(and objectives) 2) learners and sites 3) activities, staffs and media. Second, open inter-communication could be defined a feedback process among all program participants : manager, staff, teacher, volunteer, learner and so on. The evaluation checklist had been developed of 10 comprehensive items and 30 factor-items at the preliminary step but some items were assessed some complex or duplicate in the result of 3 case studies. The suggested checklist was diminished to 5 comprehensive items and 25 factor-items. Several alternatives, which included specifing learners and objectives, developing site-oriented program and establishing the evaluation sheet were suggested for improving environmental camp program.

The early phase of design intrinsically contains multiple sources of uncertainty in describing design, and nevertheless the decision-making process at this phase exerts a critical effect upon drawing a successful design. This paper proposes a set-based design approach for multi-objective design problem under uncertainty. The proposed design approach consists of four design processes including set representation, set propagation, set modification, and set narrowing. This approach enables the flexible and robust design while incorporating designer's preference structure. In contrast to existing optimization techniques, this approach generates a ranged set of design solutions that satisfy changing sets of performance requirements.

The purpose of this study was to search for new food labeling system that would support effective consumer decision-making, by examining consumer behavior of food labels and its' related factors. The survey was conducted on 410 housewives under 60-year-old who live in Seoul or Metropolitan area, using questionnaires and the illustrated material of labels. Respondents generally considered food labels very important as devices. Among 12 items of label which are required to disclose, they evaluated circulation period, and nutritional information. Among 12 items of label, housewives read manufacture date, circulation period, and price more often than business admission number and self standard number. The respondents preferred the format of marking both manufacture date and expiration date on the same side, the format of printing both price and weight on the same side of package, the diagramatic type, and the format represented by ration graph per daily value.

Virtual manufacturing systems that perform production activities ahead of real production in virtual world can reduce time and cost to develop, design, plan, and manage new products. In this paper, a virtual manufacturing system is constructed as a tool to support decision making by using VRML and Java. The basic structure of the virtual manufacturing system and the operation models are also presented. The developed system helps any related persons to share design and manufacturing information, and to perform their tasks collaboratively through Internet. The other function of the system is to monitor operation status in real time.

The prediction of future demand is a vital task in managing business operations. To this end, traditional approaches often focused on statistical techniques such as exponential smoothing and moving average. The need for better accuracy has led to nonlinear techniques such as neural networks and case based reasoning. In addition, experimental design techniques such as orthogonal arrays may be used to assist in the formulation of an effective methodology. This paper investigates a multistrategy approach involving neural nets, case based reasoning, and orthogonal arrays. Neural nets and case based reasoning are employed both separately and in combination, while orthoarrays are used to determine the best architecture for each approach. The comparative evaluation is performed in the context of an application relating to the prediction of Treasury notes.

중소기업을 대상으로 지원되는 기술 및 시장정보는 주로 경영에 필요한 의사결정에 반영되어 경영성과로 실현되는 과정을 거치게 된다는 인식을 바탕으로 중소기업에게 밀착적으로 지원되는 기술 및 시장정보의 영향을 평가하기 위하여 정보활용도와 의사결정기여도라는 요인을 도입하고 이를 조사함으로써 밀착정보지원이 중소기업에 미치는 효과를 제시하였다.

Indexes of safety, restoration, damage impact, and management reliability were developed to assess reliability of drinking water distribution networks (DWDNs) management. The developed indexes were applied to evaluate the reliability of the pipeline management stage during unexpected mechanical and hydraulic accidents of components. The results were used to support the decision-making process in effective management and maintenance by enhancing the administrator's system understanding and by helping to create appropriate maintenance and management policies. The results of this study indicated that application of a management reliability index to assess DWDNs reliability may help create a more effective plan for establishing DWDNs management and maintenance.

본 연구에서는 울산시 지진해일 주민 대피지구에 대한 의사결정을 지원하기 위한 지진해일 침수예상도를 작성하고 사전 대응체계를 구축하였다. 이를 위해 울산시 15개 지진해일위험 지구 중 기 구축된 3개소(정자, 주전, 진하)를 제외한 12개 지구(강양, 송정대송, 평동, 나사, 신암, 장생포, 일산, 방어, 신명, 산하, 구유, 당사)에 대한 현장조사와 함께 지진해일 침수범람 수치시뮬레이션을 수행하였다. 현장 조사된 자료와 시뮬레이션된 침수범람 결과를 기반으로 지진해일 침수예상도를 작성하고 지진해일대응시스템에 DB화하였다. 본 연구결과를 활용하여 지진해일 대응 및 취약지구 개선을 위한 정책 개선 등에 활용될 수 있는 기반을 마련하였다.

It will be to support a decision making of journal subscription in the field of library. This method will be applied to identify a major journal for developing continuously and low-use journal for moving a remote depository.

Real-time flood submerged area map provides important scientific basis for the decision-making of flood control and relieving disaster. Taking the Wuhan area as an example, this article gives out a image interpretation method under influence of flood, and describes real-time or quasi-real-time flood submerged area map by using the integration of ERS-2 SAR image and LANDSAT TM image in support of remote sensing images process software ERDAS.
