As a part of "The method of suitable design for resident," the purpose of this study is to figure out the resident aptitude of client through "Saju-Myungrihak" more effectively and precisely. That is, the study is to find out the relations between individual character and environmental interior tendency through experimentingss to make Images based on one's individual inherent aptitude and character. For all these reasons, we proudly launch to develop the interior design program based on emotional inherent-aptitude technology for our clients with applying Nakamitch Mizuo's emotional technology thesis "the Expert System." However, a critical implication made by Nakamitch Mizuo's emotional technology, elucidates the fact that there was a problem for understanding the system of client's inherent aptitude. 1. Purpose: This study aims to improve the evaluation system for selecting supportive housing applicants, addressing inconsistency, lack of health and care evaluation, and the need for a quantitative evaluation tool. Proposed improvements include a consistent evaluation index and items for each resident type, selecting suitable residents for independent living and community integration. Research design, data and methodology: This study analyzed the supportive housing selection checklist provided by the Seoul Metropolitan Government, the supportive housing ordinance, and the SH Corporation's operation guidelines. Results: Study finds current supportive housing tenant selection system lacks consistency and proposes improvements. The same terms should be used for the same evaluation items, health and care evaluation items should be added for all tenants, and a quantitative evaluation tool should be used. Consistent evaluation index and items should be created for each resident type in the same evaluation area. The aim is to select suitable tenants with potential for independent living and community integration. Conclusions: This study improves the evaluation system for selecting supportive housing applicants by addressing inconsistencies and adding essential evaluation items related to health and care. While the study is significant, future research should focus on developing quantitative evaluation tools for all detailed items.

In this study, we would like to suggest a virtual model house where the users participate in the planning of the apartment directly in order to supply the apartment which is suitable for the fast change of the resident's characterization, multiplication, and preference in this like high-speed information society. The users have various preferences and demands in the high level information society. It is necessary for the architect to communicate with the users in order to suggest the various styles of habitats that one can treat various life style and life cycle which reflects the demand. In addition, the object of this paper is the construction and using of the participating virtual model house that the resident can plan the preferred space design of the main house before moving Into the apartment and change space design of the main house after moving into the apartment following the variety of life style and the changing of life cycle. Regarding the effect of this study, firstly, it is possible to supply the plate type following the user's preference in order to enhance the quality of uniformed type apartment. Secondly, it is possible to maintain and control the high quality building using sharing the building information with planning, construction, maintain, interior, and related company by constructing the database. Thirdly, the unified database which is constructed by XML can supply the effective environment of apartment information exchange between other companies.

Purpose: At the moment, a lot of poor older people live in permanent rental housing in Korea. But many rental apartments are not suitable for elderly living because most of them have many problems related to the lack of accessibility and adaptability for older people with physical and mental disabilities. So it is necessary to upgrade the old permanent rental housing for convenience of elderly living. The purpose of this paper is to construct basic data for remodeling of worn out and small rental housing block in order to realize the concept of "Aging in Place". Methods: Questionnaires and interviews about elderly living have been conducted on 104 elderly who live in Suwon Wooman permanent rental apartment block which was constructed 21 years ago. From the collected data, dining pattern, inconvenient area, small area, satisfaction level on unit area and demand for unit expansion type have been analysed in order to find out the direction for remodeling of permanent rental apartment unit. Results: The problems of existing permanent rental apartment can be summarized into improper laundry space, small dining area, inconvenient bath and so on. According to the family size, the elderly resident has the different preference about the expansion type of his resident unit. Big families usually want to enlarge their living unit though they pay for additional monthly rental fee. Implications: Lifetime home concept adopting Universal Design has to be applied to the whole residential block especially to the social rental housing. And this concept had better be expanded to Lifetime neighbor design.

The purpose of designing Haebaragi park, legally designated as children park, is to make a place for children including residents performing outdoor recreation, various social interactions, and cultural activities. Design concept for space plan have twofold; the one is a positive and creative playing space and facilities for children, escaped from a monotonous playground, and the other is a cultural and social space for neighboring communities. The site having the area of 1,316.7 square meters, located in Nowon-Dong, Buk-Gu, Daegu metropolitan City, is just like a vest pocket park. The adjacent area had been developed a slum area with mixed ad visually conflicting land use patterns and low income groups. The children and residents living in the area do not have any public space suitable for playing and/or rest. After analyzing such locational characteristic as accessibility, land use of the communities, and potentials for park development, and such design concept as arrangement of facilities, efficient use of site, and functional allocation of park space, We have mad a plan for composition of spaces for various activities, provision of facilities based on estimation of user-demand and activities, and planting. In the design process, we have tried to harmonize functional spaces with facilities, and to organize all the functions as a whole. To improve urbanity and aesthetic shape of park design, we have introduced a central plaza, design of a pave floor, a torrent, large trees for shade, colonnades and so on. From this design project, we can develop the site as a children park for increasing creativities and various playing opportunities, and as a resident space for rest, cultural activities. In the future, it is required that many attempt to design and develop urban small space as a park for children and residents.

Modern house degraded by object of possession by industry and capitalistic development, and it is losing genuine meaning as order system to secure perpetuity of dwelling. Paradigm of space embodiment need first of all laying stress on human's life to overcome such modem dwelling crisis. In modern age Europe, Adolf Loos tried to embody residing space of human center within modernistic developing of technology, urbanization etc.. For such reason, Raumplan is worth reviewing. By treatise that research about Raumplan is many already presentation of the results of ones study do. But most discussions were limited by opinion which is 'Three-dimensional space plan techniques' that give attention to in physical characteristics of Raumplan, and by opinion which is 'Adolf Loos' criticism about culture with outside society. We reconsidered Raumplan in side of general paradigm of residing space embodiment that started from relevant resident's life in treatise that see as such reason. Due to the development of technology, the modern people became to require not only more convenient life but also more comfortable and emotional environment, and individually suitable living environment is applied to residents in a residential space. Recently, while the LED lighting was variously attempted in every sector in society, it is needed to express differentiated lighting according to the resident's individual lifestyle in a residential space. In this paper, we analyze the role of LED lighting suitable for the digitalized lifestyle of the modern people through the relevant literature survey and case studies. The following results are obtained in summary of the rapidly changed recent trends of LED lighting. First, LED light replace existing light sources due to the advanced new technology in LED industry, and take the spotlight as a new lighting solution with the development of variable color LED bulb and the control technology by the wired and wireless communications. Second, LED lighting can be structurally applicable to every lighting device because of its compact and lightweight units, can produce abundant light environment by expression of variable colors and moods with the easy coloring and dimming control, can be reborn as emotional lighting design. Third, as recently practices are constantly appeared that integrate LED lights in the interior elements, such as object and furniture, and combine advanced LED lighting technology to new materials, the portion of illumination on the indoor environment is further increased after integrating the LED lighting and interior elements make boundaries of lighting and product architecture become blurred. LED lighting is confirmed that is being changed from the external functionality including material, shape, color, and etc. into the contextual emotion design including the lights expression, variable color, brightness control, making image, and etc. as the light source in current smart lighting era.

The purpose of the present study is to confirm, through quantitative indices, changes arising with the implementation of urban regeneration projects, with a specific focus on the case of Dongnam-gu, Cheonan, one of the 13 priority rgions in urban regeneration. By utilizing quantitative data including resident population, floating population, revenue, number of small business persons, number of startup companies, and number of licensed buildings, the study confirmed changes in Dongnam-gu and other urban regeneration areas. The study compared monitoring results and implemented project policies to confirm changes within the area as a result of project implementation. Additionally, resident perception toward business districts was surveyed to confirm changes in perception and opinion, and monitoring indices were used to confirm changes as a result of project implementation. Accordingly, the study presented a plan to carry out the assessment of urban regeneration projects, which can be employed as data for conducting future urban regeneration projects. Urban regeneration projects are carried out for the long-term. Therefore, based on monitoring and investigative data, they require constant policy suggestions and periodic monitoring in accordance with changes resulting from project implementation. With regards to the effective range of urban regeneration projects, the study confirmed the possibility of an effect not only in the area of project implementation but also in surrounding areas. However, because the study merely confirms changes in Dongnam-gu, Cheonan, additional research is necessary to ascertain assessment plans suitable to the different types and regional characteristics of urban regeneration projects.

The purpose of this study was to identify the perception on social mix of managers and residents in the mixed housing complexes for sale and rental apartment. For the research purpose, concept and background of social mix, relevant policies, preceding research trend of social mix were organized through the literature analysis. In addition, observation study was executed to examine physical aspects of three selected sites as research subjects. Also, current state and awareness for social mix were conducted by using in-depth interview with 6 managers and 30 residents in selected areas with semi-structured questionnaires from June 3 to 7, 2013. The results of the study are as following: In the aspect of management, managers said that the biggest issue of mix-housing complex was dualization of management subject such as delegate of residents and tenants. Therefore, legislation which is suitable for unique features of mix-housing complex is required. To decrease disharmony between condominium and rental apartment, controlling the distribution ratio between condominium and rental apartment can be a good way. Accommodating middle class in mixed-housing complex is considered to reduce the social gap. Socially, multilateral and continuous effort through government, industry and academic area is required to inspire positive awareness on social mix among residents in mixed housing complex.

It is true that the social welfare center influences on the community service. The recent change of social environment has influence on the configuration of space for the community social welfare center. The social welfare center fills the role of family welfare, domiciliary care, community welfare, education culture etc. Education culture magnified, and it is acting role as the community education culture center by various program including cultural desire according to the modern request to the whole local resident. In such sense, this study explore the conditions of spatial configuration for the education culture unit of social welfare center in small city. For this study, it was investigated the space role and service funtion, the service program, the usage characteristics, the service importance. In sum, the useful data were collected, analyzed, and colligated by case study. Case study and analysis contents about education culture unit of social welfare center present the basic design data for the space plan of suitable social welfare center in small city.
