The demands for knowledge in the rapid social change and the competitive environment are being increased day by day. As to reflect the demands, much scholarly and practical work has been done on the topics of Knowledge Management (KM). However, the study of KM in nonprofit organizations (NPOs) is insufficient. This study, while discussing the nature of NPOs, which have the different purposes of existence and characteristics from for-profit organizations, has the purpose of finding out the special strategy for KM in NPOs. Through understanding the characteristics and the status of NPOs, this study suggests that that the interorganizational KM is the method to lead successful KM in NPOs. And the critical success factors (CSFs) are presented in the three major factors, such as the systematical, the interorganizational and internal consideration factor for organization. This not only provides the successful KM strategy of NPOs but also enlarges the understandings about interorganizational KM.

The starting point of knowledge generation and management is the enhancement of learning capability and capacity of organizational members. Organizational change for learning environment should be aligned with the change of organizational strategy, structure and processes. The study employed action learning methodology to constitute learning organization processes. The treatment effect to institute learning organization has been successful thanks to the members' zeal and consensus to change the processes. However, not every learning team has been so successful. Some cases complained time consuming where others expect to be helpful for their incentives. The researchers concluded that the most important point for success of the learning organization project should be the support of top management.

This paper deals with control system design strategy for electrolmaginetic suspension (E.M.S.) system. For a successful control of E.M.S. system, the nature of E.M.S. system is deeply studied in the view point of non-linear, open-loop unstable, time-varying, non-minimum phase system. To find a special control treatment for E.M.S. system, analyses and simulations for various models are carried out. As one of the successful candidates, adaptive control concept is introduced and sample hardware system using digital signal processor is implemented.

As competition shifts from being a company oriented one to a supply chain oriented, an effective SCM(supply chain management) becomes a necessary strategy for any successful businesses. But, it is not easy to form a successful SCM, because the individual desire of participants conflict with others. These desires affect the performance of SCM and cause waste of cost and time. Analyzing a supply chain of discount retailers, this paper eliminates idle time and improves the process with rearranging the reorder closing time(reorder point). For win-win strategy, this work reveals the reorder closing time is an important factor. It is possible to reduce cost and time on the entire SCM process by just changing the ordering time.

In this paper, we suggest a strategy to implement RFID in the Marine Equipment Distribution Center. Although RFID technology has be applied to the various business areas, due to the immature technological market and other reasons, for the successful RFID implementations, it is necessary for the company to review RFID implementations methodology. The aims of the Marine Equipment Distribution Center is to share storages for the marine equipment enterprises and to gain the max efficiency in the logistics flow. To achieve this goal RFID can be one of the alternatives. This paper suggests major issues that can help to reach the successful implementation of RFID in the distribution center.

The dynamic nature of the A/E/C industry, rapidly changing global market environments, and lowest cost competitive bidding make it difficult to survive in global design markets. To understand the global design markets, a case study has been undertaken. The top 150 global design firms represented in the ENR (Engineering News Record) from 1995 to 2003 are classified into three groups for the case study. First group is the firms which advanced in rank from 1995. Second group is the firms which maintained its rank from 1994 until 2003. Third group is the firms which went down in rank from 1995 until 2003. However, finding key factors and changing business strategies of successful top design firms are the fundamental goals in this paper. After examinations of case studies, this paper concludes and suggests that professionalization, M&A strategies, patrons of the government, and academic support are needed to be successful in the global design & engineering industry.

The purpose of this study is to analyze thinking process in problem solving and to get some teaching materials to improve students' problem solving abilities. For this study, 14 girl and boy students in highschool were tested with 7 testing questions. The whole process of students' problem solving was observed by using 'Thinking aloud', recorded by Audio Tape and finally drawn up to Protocol. On the basis of that Protocol, coding system was set up and characteristics of thinking process in each stage were analyzed. -In the stage of planning, successful problem solvers tried to check the properties of words included in problems(Pr) and made it clear that they were seeking(O) -In the stage of planning, students used abstraction strategy(Ab, making equation(E) or using variable(V)) appropriately could solve more difficult problems. Successful problem solvers turned used unsystematical trial into systematical method and were good at using partial objects, assistant factors. - In the stage of carring out the plan, successful problem solvers to reduce the error, check the purpose, used formula, knowledge and calculation. -In the looking back stage, successful problem solvers generalized the answer and checked the total process.

미국에서의 벤처기업의 확산과 성장은 1980년대 불경기의 미국을 지난 1990년대의 10년간 사상 최대의 호황경제로 만들었다. 미국 벤처기업의 성공은 대학과 벤처기업간의 산학협력은 물론 대학의 질높은 벤처창업 교육에 있었다. 미국의 벤처창업교육은 한국에 비하여 상당히 오래되었고 거의 모든 대학에서 장기적이면서도 적극적으로 실시하고 있다. 이에 반해 한국은 그 역사가 일천하고 아직도 피상적인 수준이다 이에 본 연구는 미국과 문화적 역사적 다른 한국에서 성공적인 벤처창업교육을 위한 5가지 기본적인 전략을 제시하였다.

Intraventricular hemorrhage long after successful encephaloduroarterio synangiosis (EDAS) is very rare. The effect of revascularization surgery for preventing hemorrhagic event of moyamoya disease remains controversial. We report a 17-year-old female with intracerebral hemorrhage and intraventricular hemorrahge 10 years after successful EDAS. Even though cerebral vessels angiography showed good collateral circulations without specific weak points, a cerebral hemorrhage could occur in patient with ischemic type of moyamoya disease long after successful indirect bypass operations. Good collateralization of cerebral angiography or magnetic resonance perfusion image after indirect bypass surgery would ensure against ischemic symptoms, not a hemorrhage. And, thus a life-time follow-up strategy might be necessary even if a good collateral circulation has been established.

온라인 게임은 최근 십년간 IT 기술의 발전에 힘입어 국내는 물론 해외에서도 눈부신 발전을 거듭하고 있다. 그런데 최근 대작 게임인 아이온이 나오기 전까지 수년간 MMORPG의 상위 순위가 변동되지 않고 과점상태를 유지했었다. NHNgames는 그 기간에 성공적으로 시장에 진입하여 좋은 성과를 내고 주요한 플레이어로 자리매김에 성공했다. 이러한 맥락에서 본 연구는 MMORPG 시장에 성공적으로 진입한 NHNgames의 사례를 Kalyanaram과 Gurumurthy의 기본전략 프레임을 통하여 성공적인 시장 진입 전략의 요소를 정리하고 분석하였다. 이 논의는 이후에도 끊임없이 반복될 온라인 게임 시장 진입의 문제에 함의를 제공하여 산업의 발전을 도모하는 데 기여할 수 있으리라 기대된다.
