  • Current substation SCADA system has only one control center where two or three operaters monitor and control more than 40 substations spreaded far and wide. The scope of this system is too wide to cope with the concurrent multiple accidents in electric network by the typhoon and large mow. This paper describes the method to organize the optimal structure of substation SCADA system using remote console and small scale control center.

  • In recent the maximum voltage of overhead power transmission lines in Korea was upgraded to 765kV. In general a overhead ground wire is installed for protecting overhead power transmission lines from lightning. For the 765kV line, Composite Overhead Ground Wire with Optic Fiber (OPGW) is applied as a overhead ground wire and have a function of the communication line between substations. In this paper, the construction and properties of OPGW, and its installation methods are discribed.

  • As the power system network is enlarged and complicated gradually, the automation of power system network is essential to enhance the reliability and performance of the operation of power system. Distribution restoration is a major part of the automation. This paper proposes a new distribution restoration system to restore healthy blackout regions by the hierarchical cooperation with the substation automation systems. In proposed system, the range of restoration is extended to substations and the performance as well as the switching efficiency of restoration system is enhanced.

  • As the power system is more complex and power demands increase, the fault currents have the tendency of increasing gradually. In the near future it will happen that the fault currents exceed circuit breaker rating for some substations. In this paper, the resistive SFCL (Superconducting Fault Current Limiter) is installed at Bus-Tie location to reduce the fault current in korea power systems and evaluated technical and economical Impacts.

IEC Standard 60364 "Electrical Installations of Buildings" and IEC Standard 61936 "Power Installations Exceeding 1 kV AC" prepared by IEC Technical Committee(TC) 64 and TC 99 respectively, are representative standards for electrical installations of buildings, substations, industrial plants, etc.

  • 일반적으로 상용주파수에서의 대지는 입력전류의 크기에 따라 일정한 저항체로 다루어 질 수 있으며, 접지도체 임피던스도 무시할 수 있고 접지도체 전체가 등전위로 볼 수 있다. 그러나 써어지 전류 유입시에는 주파수가 수백 MHz 이므로 접지도체 임피던스에 의한 전압강하가 크게 될 뿐 아니라 써어지 전류 유입점의 도체전위가 매우 많이 상승하게 된다. 따라서, 본 논문에서는 운전중인 변전소 안전측면에서 접지임피던스와 보폭 및 접촉전압 등의 위험전압측정을 통한 안전성을 검토하였다.

  • At the neutral sections, There are neutral sections inserted in overhead contact line between the substations to divide different phase current sections of AC electrified lines. Except convention line, a large stress occurs in the contact wire near the fittings under passing pantographs. So, in order to raise the train speed over 150km/h, a new type section has been adopted.
