일부지역 초등학생의 약물남용과 약물에 관한 지식 및 태도 (A Study on Substance Abuse, Knowledge and Attitude about Substances in the Elementary Students)

  • Purpose: To provide basic data for strategy of substance abuse through the investigation of the status of substance abuse and knowledge and attitude about drugs in the elementary students. Method: Subjects were 565 6th grade of elementary students. Data were collected from June to July 2001 by using structured questionnaire. Result: 1) Among the students of respondents, 10.2% of them had the experience in smoking, 26.7% and 08% of them in drinking and inhalants, respectively. 2) The degree of students' knowledge about substance was 20.9 points on average with the highest score being 30. Students' knowledge about substances, smoking came on top, next came drinking and inhalants followed them. There were no significant differences in the knowledge of substances by general and drug related characteristics of the students. 3) The students' attitude about substances was negative with 30 points on average with the highest score being 108. As for the attitude about substances, they revealed the most generous in drinking next in smoking and inhalants. Those of boys, bored in school life and experienced in substance abuse were significantly generous in the attitude about substances. 4) There was a significant weak inverse relationship between the student's knowledge and attitude about substances (r=-0.13). As for the relationship between the student's knowledge and attitude about substances, the strongest relationship was shown in inhalants (r=-0.18) next in drinking (r=-0.16) and smoking (r=-0.06). Conclusion: The results of the finding suggest that the developing of programs in substance abuse for the elementary students are needed not only for the prevention but also for the cessation.

고등학생을 대상으로 한 약물남용 예방 프로그램의 효과 -음주와 흡연을 중심으로- (The Effect of Substance Abuse Prevention Program on High School Students - focused on alcohol and smoking)

  • Substance abuse among teenagers has been spreading widely and become a serious social problem. However, teachers hardly realize its importance. Recently, substance abuse prevention programs show a tendency towards one time education. This study aims to research the effect of substance abuse prevention on high school students using the Life Skills Training Program. Two classes(36 students in the experimental group, 35 in the control group) at W High School in Daejeon were randomly sampled for this study from May to June 2002. Substance knowledge and attitude, problem solving, and assertiveness were examined as Pre and Post-Tests. The data was analyzed using frequencies, t-test, means, and covariance(ANCOVA). The results of this study were as follows; 1. Compared with the control group, substance knowledge in the experimental group was significantly improved(F=176.317, P=.000). And compared with the control group, substance attitudes in the experimental group were improved significantly.(F=207.682, P=.000). 2. Compared with the control group, cognitions to problem solving in the experimental group was significantly improved(F=100.937, P=.000). 3. Compared with the control group, assertiveness behaviors in the experimental group were increased significantly(F=207.255, P=.000). The study showed that Substance Abuse Prevention of High School Students was effective in improving substance knowledge and attitude, cognition to problem solving, and assertiveness behavior. Some suggestions based on the result are as follows; 1. Substance abuse preventive programs must be practiced properly and systematically with high school students in their regular classes. 2. Various preventive education programs must be developed for substance abuse where high school students can join in a community center, such as Community Welfare Center, Alcoholic Counseling Center, and Mental Health Center. 3. For the furthering of substance abuse preventive education, there must be continued research about not only students with problems of substance misuse and abuse, but also students without them. 4. There must be early determination of students with problems of substance misuse to be able provide school social workers with the opportunity for intervention.

초등학생의 흡연 지식, 태도 및 경험 (The Study on Elementary Students's Knowledge, Attitude and Experience of Smoking)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the knowledge, attitude and experience of elementary students on smoking. Method: This study is a descriptive survey study by a self reported questionnaires and the subjects of this study were 631 students who are attending elementary schools in Seoul. Results: The results of this study are as followed : 1) 67.9% of subjects have smoking family members, 91.9% of subjects don't have good relation to their parents, 78.6% of subjects have discontented school life and 4.6% of subjects are smoking now. 2) 37.9% of subjects hardly ever experienced education of substance use. There are only 10~17% of subjects have experienced education of substance use among 3~4th grade students. 3) There is highly right answer rate in "relation between pregnant women and fetus(91.6)", "addiction of smoking((85.6%)" and "earlier smoking stronger addiction(72.9%)". 4) The attitude of smoking is mostly negative, and 3.1% of subjects have future smoking plan. 5) The subjects who have smoking parents more have future smoking plan(t=-2.28, p=.02), more positive attitude for smoking(t=-4.42, p=.00). Conclusion: There is needed systematic smoking prevention program for elementary students which fits their knowledge and attitude not later than 3rd. grade, and continual smoking prevention program for adulthood.

약물 오$\cdot$남용 예방프로그램이 저소득 여성노인의 약물 오$\cdot$남용 예방에 대한 지식, 태도, 예방행위 및 우울에 미치는 효과 (Effects of a Drug Misuse and Abuse Prevention Program on Knowledge, Attitude, and Preventive Behaviors Related to Drug Misuse and Abuse, and Depression in Low-income Elderly Women)

  • Purpose: This study was conducted to determine the effects of a drug misuse and abuse prevention program on knowledge, attitude, and preventive behaviorsrelated to drug misuse and abuse, and depression in low-income elderly women in the urban area. Method: The design of this study was a nonequivalent control group pretest-posttest design. The subjects consisted of 26 in the experimental group and 23 in the control group. The program was performed for about 1 hour, once a week for 5 weeks. Data was analyzed by the SAS(ver.8.02) computer program, and it included descriptive statistics, Fisher's exact test, Mann-Whitney U test, Wilcoxon signed ranks test, and ANCOVA. Result: There were statistically significant differences in knowledge, attitude, and preventive behaviors related to drug misuse and abuse, and depression between the experimental group and the control group. Conclusion: This study showed that this prevention program of drug misuse and abuse is appropriate for low-income elderly women, Therefore this program is recommended as a nursing intervention strategy for the elderly.

고등학생의 방사선조사식품에 대한 인식과 자기효능감과의 관련성 (Relation of Self-Efficacy and Cognition of Irradiated Food among High School Students)

  • 방사선조사식품 선택에 있어 올바른 행동 변화를 유도하기 위한 근거자료를 마련하고자 건강행위를 설명하는 가장 중요변수인 자기효능감과의 관련성을 분석하였다. 방사선조사식품이 건강위험에 영향을 주는 이유로 "방사선이 위험하기 때문"이 33.1%로 가장 많았고, "방사성물질을 섭취하는 것이기 때문" 27.9%, "식품에 유전자 변이가 생기기 때문" 21.1%, "식품에 변질이 생기기 때문" 10.1% 등의 순으로 나타나 방사선조사식품에 대한 일반적인 이론과는 관계없는 정보로 방사선조사식품에 대해 인식되어 있다는 것을 알 수 있다. 이는 방사선조사식품에 대한 교육내용 구성 시 부정적으로 인식하고 있는 유전적 문제, 위험한 식품섭취와 같은 잘못된 인식영역에 대한 명확한 근거를 제시하는 것이 바른 인식 형성에 도움이 될 것이라고 본다. 건강관련 자기효능감은 방사선조사식품에 대한 정보습득 경험과는 r=0.148 (p<0.01), 방사선조사식품 구입 경험과는 r=0.077 (p<0.05), 방사선조사식품 섭취경험과는 r=0.113 (p<0.01), 방사선조사식품에 대한 지식과는 r=0.103 (p<0.01), 방사선조사식품에 대한 태도와는 r=0.076 (p<0.05), 방사선조사식품에 대한 행위와는 r=0.105 (p<0.01)의 정(+)적인 상관관계를 나타냈다. 이는 방사선조사식품에 대해 정보습득 경험이 있는 경우, 방사선조사식품 구입경험 및 섭취경험이 있는 경우, 방사선조사식품에 대한 지식, 태도 및 행위수준이 높은 경우가 건강관련 자기효능감이 높은 것과 관련된다는 것을 알 수 있다. 일반인 대상의 방사선조사식품에 대한 개입전략 구상 시, 잘못된 인식을 바른 인식으로 유도하는 지식제공 교육과 더불어 건강관련 자기효능감 수준을 향상시키는 교육을 병행할 필요가 있다. 올바른 정보제공과 자기효능감 수준을 향상시킬 수 있는 교육이 병행된다면 방사선조사식품을 선택 및 섭취할 수 있는 행동 변화가 증진될 것이라고 사료된다.
