Women in Engineering Subject and Education

  • Women in engineering subject were developed for women included engineering education in Korea. Women in the predominantly male-oriented college of engineering which is afflicted by the high dropout rate and the low employment rate of coeds in their majoring fields because of the die-hard male dominant culture. In order to resolve the related problems, Our University has been actively engaged in a movement called "Women into Engineering" (WIE) to raise the gender cognitive awareness and to train women engineers for highly qualified work force. As part of the movement, a subject called "Women in Engineering" that focuses on the gender cognitive perspective is effective to reduce the dropout rate and to land a job inside their fields by stimulating their interest in their specialty made soft/hard skills. The study was conducted a survey of the coeds who have completed the "Women in Engineering" course to evaluate the degree of satisfaction perceived, and a t-test through comparing the group of the coeds and a group of coeds who have not taken the course. The results showed statistically significant responses indicating that both groups of coeds would like to see WIE offer more basic engineering courses like "Women in Engineering." This may lay the foundation to offer other major engineering courses for juniors and seniors that emphasize the gender cognitive approach.

<기생충>에 나타난 자크 라캉의 욕망 (A Study on Lacan's Desire in <Parasite>)

  • 자크 라캉(Jacques Lacan)에 따르면, 욕망은 원초적인 부분의 결여(Lack)에서 비롯되며, 이는 인간이 지속적으로 쾌락과 만족을 추구하게 만드는 일종의 원동력이다. 주체(Subject)와 인류의 욕망은 매우 복잡한 심리적 현상이기에 욕망의 완전히 실현은 불가능하다. 연구자는 자크 라캉의 욕망 이론을 통해 영화 속 주체가 추구하는 이상, 좌절, 성장의 과정에서 형성되는 균형을 분석하고자 한다. 본 논문, "연구자는 영화 <기생충>을 아메데오 지오르지(Amedeo Giorgi)의 현상학적 방법으로 분석"에 대한 연구임. 이를 통해 인류 욕망의 본질을 드러냄으로써, 영화의창작에 대한 시사점과 이론적 배경을 제공하고자 하였다.

경기 일부 지역 중학생의 "기술.가정"교과의 식생활 영역에 대한 인식에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Recognition with Respect to the Food and Nutrition Section of the Technology and Home Economics Curriculum of Middle School Students in Gyeonggi Province)

  • 본 연구는 경기지역에 위치한 남녀중학생 1학년 270명과 3학년 252명, 총 522을 대상으로 학년별 성별에 따라 기술 가정교과 내의 식생활단원에 대한 인식, 활용도, 수업만족도, 요구도 및 학습 후 학생들의 식생활태도에 차이가 있는지를 비교하였다. 본 연구에서 얻어진 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 기술 가정 교과에 대하여 1학년과 3학년 모두 선호도가 낮았으며, 좋아하는 이유로는 1학년, 3학년 모두 '실생활에 도움이 되기 때문에'이며, 싫어하는 이유로는 '내용이 흥미 없기 때문에'가 가장 높게 나타났다. 기술 가정교과에 대하여 1학년이 3학년보다 높은 흥미도를 보였으며, 실생활 도움 정도는 3학년이 1학년보다 높게 나타났다. 기술 가정교과 내의 식생활단원에 대하여 1학년의 선호도가 3학년에 비해 더 높게 나타났으며, 좋아하는 이유는 1학년, 3학년 모두 '조리실습을 좋아하기 때문에'가, 싫어하는 이유로는 1학년, 3학년 모두 '영양과 건강에 대한 관심이 없어서'가 가장 높게 나타났다. 식생활 단원의 필요도는 1학년이 3학년보다 더 필요하다고 응답했으며, 식생활 단원이 실생활에 도움을 주는 정도도 1학년이 3학년보다 더 도움이 된다고 응답하였다. 실생활에 도움이 안되는 이유는 1학년, 3학년 모두 '실생활에 적용할 시간이 없어서'가 가장 많았다. 식생활단원에 대한 실생활에서의 활용도는 전반적으로 높은 것으로 나타났고, 1학년이 3학년보다 높은 활용도를 보였다(P<0.001). 식생활단원에 대한 수업만족도가 낮은 편이었다. 식생활 단원에 대한 요구도는 1학년이 3학년보다 높게 나타났으며, 가장 높은 필요도를 보인 것은 1학년과 3학년 모두 '조리의 기초와 실제'였다. 식생활 단원에 대한 선호도가 높을수록 요구도, 만족도, 활용도가 높은 것으로 나타났다. 요구도와 만족도, 만족도와 활용도, 요구도와 활용도간에 모두 유의적 수준의 양의 상관관계를 나타내었다. 이상의 결과를 종합하여 볼 때 가정 교과의 식생활 단원에 대한 인식, 선호도 및 활용도, 요구도 등은 대체로 긍정적으로 나타났으며, 특히 1학년의 선호도, 요구도, 활용도 등이 3학년에 비해 더 높게 나타났다. 식생활영역을 선호할수록 식생활 수업을 매우 긍정적으로 받아들이며, 식생활영역 요구도와 만족도, 활용도 등이 높았다. 따라서 식생활영역에 대한 학생들의 선호도를 높일 수 있는 식생활 교육내용과 교수-학습방법을 개발하고 학생들의 요구에 부응하는 교육환경의 개선이 이루어진다면 학생들이 식생활 수업에 적극적으로 참여하여 높은 학업성취도를 얻을 수 있을 것으로 생각된다.

  • 본 연구는 팀티칭 교수법을 적용한 캡스톤디자인 수업의 주관적 인식을 파악하고자 식음료조리계열 조리전공자를 대상으로 Q방법론을 적용하여 분석하였다. 본 연구의 목적은 팀티칭교수법을 적용한 캡스톤디자인 과목을 수강하는 학생들에 대한 주관적 인식과 이들 사이에서 발견되는 공통적인 구조를 도출하여, 유형들 간의 특성을 기술하고 분석 한 후 향후 시사점을 제시하였다. 유형분석 결과, 총 4가지로 도출되었다. 제 1유형(N=14) : 차별화된 교육과정 만족 형 (Differentiation Curriculum Satisfaction Type), 제 2유형(N=5): 외식창업 계획 형 (Restaurant Business Plan Type), 제 3유형(N=3): 외식프랜차이즈 교육 선호 형(Prefer Franchise Education Type), 제 4유형(N=3): 메뉴개발 수업 선호 형(Prefer menu Development Lesson Type)으로 각각의 유형마다 다양한 특징이 있는 것으로 분석되었다. 향후 팀티칭을 적용한 교육과정 연구에서는 다양한 문헌과 실증연구를 바탕으로 보다 세밀한 Q방법론적인 질문과 분석기법을 보완하여, 응답자들의 다양한 의견들을 보다 구체적으로 분석하고자 한다.

병원 CEO 리더십 스타일이 조직구성원의 직무만족과 이직의도에 미치는 영향Turnover (The Impact of Hospital CEO Leadership Behaviors on Employees' Job Satisfaction and Intention in Korea)

  • The organizational effectiveness of hospital in various environmental fluctuations is a large and complex problem. Hospital CEO leadership characteristics may be a critical determinant of employees' job satisfaction and turnover intention. Several empirical studies on transformational leadership found that transformational leadership behaviors were positively related to workers' job satisfaction and turnover intention. Very little research related to this subject has been done in health care settings in Korea. The author explores the relationship between hospital CEO leadership style and its effect on job satisfaction and turnover intention among the all staffs of general hospital. The relationship of hospital CEO leadership style to employees' job satisfaction was investigated using the Bass's leadership paradigm of transformational and transactional leadership. The Multifactor Leadership Questionnaire(MLQ) and the index of job satisfaction and turnover intention were completed by 493 hospital employees(doctors, nurses, hospital administrators, technicians, and assistants). The findings show a similar trend to the previous studies. Hospital CEO leadership behaviors and employee outcomes were significantly correlated. Correlations showed a significant positive relationship between those hospital CEO exhibiting a transformational leadership style and the job satisfaction of their staffs. The results of multiple regression analysis indicate that the effect of charisma in transformational leadership behaviors is more higher than other variables. Transformational leadership style may be a more effective strategy and have a greater effect on staff outcomes, attitudes and behaviors. The findings of this study reveal implications for efficient hospital management and the importance of understanding relationship between hospital CEO's leadership style and subordinate behaviors in the context of CEO's desirable role and function for hospital strategy planning and future direction.

임상간호사의 전문직 자아개념과 직무만족도 (A Correlational Study on Professional Self-concept and Job Satisfaction of Clinical Nurses)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the professional self-concept and job satisfaction of clinical nurses. The subjects consisted of 569 nurses who work at a university hospital and 6 general hospitals in Daegu, Kyungpook and Kyungnam. The findings are as follows : The average item score of professional self concept was 2.68. The mean item scores of professional self-concept in each dimension were as follows: 2.77 for professional practice: 2.33 for satisfaction: 2.91 for communication. The average item score of job satisfaction was 2.79. The mean item scores of job satisfaction in each dimension were as follows: 3.39 for interaction : 3.27 for professional status; 3.19 for autonomy : 2.90 for doctor-nurse relationship: 2.57 for administration: 2.41 for task requirements: 2.16 for pay. The stronger a subject's professional self-concept, the stronger the job satisfaction. The relationship between general characteristics and professional self-concept shows a significant difference with regard to age, religion, marital status, period of nursing career, and position. The relationship between general characteristics and job satisfaction shows a significant difference with regard to age, religion, educational level, work setting, period of nursing career, position, and region. In conclusion, this study suggests that we need to develop a program for improving professional self-concept of clinical nurses through nursing education.

보육시설 실내.외 환경에 대한 만족도와 중요성의 인식정도 - 학부모, 보육교사의 차이를 중심으로 - (A Study on the Level of Satisfaction and Awareness Regarding the Importance of outdoor and Indoor Environments in Child Care Centers - On the Basis of Different Viewpoints from the Parents and the Teachers -)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze and determine the level of the satisfaction and awareness of facilities in child care centers among teachers and parents. Special attention was given to both the indoor and outdoor environments from the viewpoints of both parents and teachers. The subject of this research focused on parents who leave their children at child care centers, and teachers who work for the center. The data was compiled by performing both T-tests and paired T-test. The information was processed by a program called SPSS WIN 10.0. The results were as follows ; 1. (a) With regard to the satisfaction of the external and internal facilities : It was determined that both the play rooms and the wall-pattern arrangements were satisfactory to both the parents and the teachers. (b) Regarding the awareness of the importance of facilities, while the parents focused more on the play rooms and the external environments, the teachers placed more importance on the bathrooms and the play rooms. 2. In the paired T-test that determined whether their individual opinions were different in terms of the satisfaction and awareness of facilities, it was interesting to see that both the parents and the teachers showed significant differences in their opinions and priorities about the porches, the play rooms, the bathrooms and the wall-pattern arrangements. In general, their awareness was much higher than the satisfaction with these facilities. 3. In the T-test that determined whether there were any tendencies in the satisfaction and awareness respectively in the two groups, the satisfaction rate was higher among the parents than the teachers. In terms of the awareness of the importance of the facilities, the teachers rated the bathrooms and the wall-pattern arrangements as a priority.

전주시 도시공원의 이용행태분석 및 관리실태에 대한 만족도 평가 에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Users' Behavior and Satisfaction on the Actual Conditions of Management at the Neiborhood Parks in Chonju)

  • the purpose of this study is to suggest objective basic daa for park management proposal through the quantitative analysis of users' behaviours and satisfaction for the actual conditions of management in Chonju neiborhood parks. For this, users' behaviors and socio-ecnomic characteristics have been anlyzed. Specificaly, it atempts to investigate users' anticipation and degree of satisfaction applied Expectancy Theory by Likert scale. And users' satisfaction for the actual conditions of management had been analyzed by using the multiple regression. Results of this study can be summarized as follow; From the aspect of utilization reality, the male usage was slightly higher than female usage, and the usage rate among the young and students such as high school students or university students also appeared slightly higher than the norm. Due to the fact, subject park had been neighborhood parks, walking usage was predominant, and the length of stay to be less than an hour. Generally, the values of users' post occupancy evaluation were lower than those of anticipated, in well known parks. In landscape satisfaction level, the parks with harmonious visual element had high landscape evaluation, and each category showed diversity depending on the park. Seasonableness, formation of physical elements, visual uniqueness, cozy atmosphere appeared as main explicatory variables having positive effects on the satisfaction level for the landscape. According to the multiple regression analysis, the major variables to the satisfaction for the actual condition of vegetation managements were harmony with facilities, recovery of artificial injury. In the park facilities and operation, the major variables related to the satisfaction were conditions of management of rest equip, facilities and guidance of use, observe the rules, respectively.

대학생의 라이프스타일과 주거만족도, 미래주거환경선호도에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Life Style and Housing Satisfaction, Future-housing environment preferences among the College Students)

  • The purpose of this study was to research the college students' life styles, housing satisfaction and future-housing environment preferences according to demographic variables. So the eventual purpose is to offer basic data of future-housing development. This study has a subject of 512 college students living in Jeonbuk province. In this statistical analysis, SPSS 11.5 for Windows program. The results of this research were as follows; The college students' life style showed higher in the self-confidence-directed and the home-directed types. And the college students' housing satisfaction showed higher in housing equipments. The life style and housing satisfaction were significant difference according to major, their parents' academic career, fathers' occupation, average incomes, type of house. The college students' future-housing preference showed higher in housing equipments and environment. And the significant difference according to gender, school year, major, mothers' occupation, and type of house in the college students' future-housing environment preference. College students' life style, housing satisfaction, and future-housing environment preference have a significant correlation one another. Housing satisfaction variables had positive correlations with life style and future-housing environment preference. Partially, negative correlation was showed between life style and future-housing environment preference. As a conclusion, college students' life style and housing satisfaction constituted important characteristics which could affect future-housing environment preference directly. These results should be provide fundamental information for the new generation's future-housing development.

인터넷 쇼핑몰 이미지와 만족도 및 재방문의도에 관한 연구 - 종합몰과 오픈마켓의 비교를 중심으로 - (A Study on Internet Shopping Mall Image, Satisfaction, and Revisit Intentions - Comparison Between Meta-Mall and Open-Market -)

  • The Open-Market internet shopping malls has rapidly been growing over the past few years. Thus, this study compares Meta-Mall and Open-Market, as well as evaluates image factors of the internet shopping mall in order to verify different levels of influence on customer satisfaction and revisit intentions. The subject of stud was made for students enrolled in colleges in the Busan area, using this Data collection method. Data were gathered using a questionnaire and through personal interviews from a sampling made from May 1 to May 8, 2008. The final 337 accomplished questionnaire forms were used for the subsequent analysis. The results of the substantial analysis are as follows. First, the following factors affect the image of internet shopping malls: assortment of goods and information service, site design, convenience, reliability of goods and information, and customer service. In Meta-Mall, these same factors, except customer service, were found to influence customer satisfaction, while in Open-Market, all the five factors were found to influence customer satisfaction. In Open-Market, convenience and reliability of goods and information had especially high levels of influence on customer satisfaction. Second, customer satisfaction with Internet shopping malls was found to influence the intentions of the customers to make a revisit. The result of the study shows that the factors of shopping mall image between Meta-Mall and Open-Market are perceived differently by their customers, and differences were found in the levels of their influence on customer satisfaction.
