Amlodipine besylate (36 reports, 3.3%), iopromide (29 reports, 2.7%), tramadol HCl (28 reports, 2.6%) were most suspicious drugs that occurred cardiovascular ADRs. The most common cardiovascular ADRs were hypotension( 236 reports, 33.1%), palpitation (134 reports, 18.8%), and hypertension (89 reports, 12.5%). The most frequent ADRs were occurred in the age group of more than 60. This result could be of help to prescribers and other healthcare providers to predict and prevent cardiovascular ADRs. • Objectives The purpose of this study is to assess the quality of case reports from the Journal of Pediatrics of Korean Medicine. Methods Case reports were selected from the Journal of Pediatrics of Korean Medicine from January 2015 to April 2018, by utilizing Oriental Medicine Advanced Searching Integrated System (OASIS). The quality of the reports were reviewed based on the Consensus-based Clinical Case Reporting Guideline Development (CARE) guideline. Results Total of 13 case reports were finally selected for the assessment. 73.08% of the case reports included necessary information based on the CARE guideline but the rest of the reports did not. More than 50% of the reports were missing data regarding 'Timeline', 'Diagnostic challenges', 'Intervention adherence and tolerability', 'Adverse and unanticipated events', or 'Patient perspective or experience'. Also, the reports did not include 'Key word', 'Introduction in abstract', 'Case presentation in abstract', or 'The rationale for conclusions' information. Conclusions Case reports from the Journal of Pediatrics of Korean Medicine have important role in pediatrics. Efforts are needed to improve the quality of the case reports as well as to develop reporting guidelines for the Journal of Pediatrics of Korean Medicine.

  • This paper is to provide an analysis of the aspectual nature of naked infinitives(NIs) of English perceptual reports. Higginbotham(1983) proposes that only ‘active’ or ‘transient’ verbs can be used as NIs of English perceptual reports, but ‘state’ verbs cannot. This is called “confinement to the active or transient”. But there will be one problem when NIs of English perceptual reports are negatives. This is why the meaning of negative NIs of English perceptual reports may be static, which isn't in line with “confinement to the active or transient”. There are similar problems with ‘state’ NIs of English perceptual reports. In this paper some of these problems can be solved with the “Event Structure” of Pustejovsky(1991). According to Pustejovsky(1991), ‘process’ and ‘transition’ verbs have sub-eventual individuation units, but state verbs have no such units. It is the units that make it possible for ‘process’ and ‘transition’ to be perceived. As a result ‘process’ and ‘transition’ verbs are suitable for NIs of English perceptual reports. Nevertheless, there are still some problems unsolved. Moreover some state verbs are grammatically used as NIs of English perceptual reports. This paper proposes that these state verbs have “potentiality of transition”, and the potentiality comes from only the combination of the two parts of the complement - the subject and the naked infinitive. And the potentiality causes the “Event Structure” of Pustejovsky(1991) to be modified. And this modification makes it possible for us to explain aspect of NIs of English Perceptual Reports. It is concluded with some implication for Korean learners of English as a Foreign Language.

  • Objectives The purpose of this study is to reevaluate the quality of reporting on case reports published in Journal of Sasang Constitutional Medicine (SCM) from June 2018 to December 2021, compared with January 2015 to May 2018. Methods Case reports were identified by searching from archive on the website of society of Journal of SCM. We assessed the quality of reporting on them based on CAse REport (CARE) guideline. Results A total of 32 case reports was finally included for the assessment. Overall quality of reporting was improved compared to one of previous study. The median reported rate of 'sufficiently' reporting increased by 7.8% from 66.7% to 74.5%, while the one as evaluated 'not sufficiently' and 'not reported' decreased by 4.1% from 14.8% to 10.7%, and 3.5% from 21.4% to 17.9%, respectively. However, more than 50% of 32 case reports did not still report 5 items about intervention adherence and tolerability(96.9%), diagnostic challenges(93.8%), adverse events(87.5%), timeline(68.8%), and patient's perspective on interventions(65.6%). Compared to the results of previous study, continuous attention is required for adverse events and changes in intervention in which the unreported rate increased by 18.3% and 6.3%, respectively. In addition, prognostic characteristics, patient's informed consent, patient's occupation, and keyword of 'Case report' and 'Sasang (Constitutional) medicine' should be sufficiently reported in the future. Conclusions Despite the overall improvement in the quality of reporting, efforts to improve the quality of reporting should be continued by referring to well-reported cases reports previously published in Journal of SCM.

Materials of this study were collected from a total of 1,039 reports on Oriental medical care by internet search of each newspaper company's homepage from fan 1, 1993 to Dec 31, 1999. Two researchers analyzed the trend of report contents on Oriental medical care by publication year. Also, topics on the collaborative efforts of Oriental and Western medical care were reported in 7.9% of the cases. According to a survey of the opinions held for the contents in these reports, 51.0% reports held neutral views while 48.2% and only 0.8% reports had favorable and negative views, respectively. In conclusion, the reports covering Oriental medical care in major domestic newspapers have increased in recent times and many held favorable views. Considering the widespread influence of mass-media, the government and health-related organizations must continuously monitor the opinions in daily newspapers, for the opinions are the influencing force of health-rotated behaviors and changes. • The discovery of new historical resources is important in that it ensures the sustainability of future researches and enables new interpretations and expansion of them. The purpose of this study is to describe the characteristics of Chinese reports related to the newly discovered Gwangju Student Movement in terms of contents. In particular, since Chinese reports contain the same expressions and contents, we tried to figure out which materials from Korea and Japan were cited the same and what kind of relationships there were. The analysis results are as follows: First, the relationship between the reports on December 6, 1929, which were newly claimed as the first reports, and the Gwangju Student Movement was explained in detail. Although there is no specific indication that the distributing of manifesto and arresting case on December 6th in Seoul was related to the Gwangju Student Movement, it should be viewed as the first reports made to support it. Second, in previous studies, it was revealed that the contents known as the newspaper's own reports were actually quoted from previous reports in Korea or Japan. Third, it was confirmed that the contents of reports could be affected by the citation reports according to the political characteristics of the newspapers.
