지반 기진력을 받는 구조물의 진동 제어를 위한 Hybrid Mass Damper 의 유용성 연구 (A Study on the Adaptability of Hybrid Mass Damper for the Vibration Control of Structure under Base Excitation)

  • A hybrid mass damper that combines a tuned mass damper and an actuator has been recognized to be one of the most promising devices for vibration control of a tall building subjected to dynamic loads such as wind and earthquake. In this paper, in order to reduce vibration levels of a 5-story test structure, a hybrid mass damper using AC-servomotor was designed and developed. And control performances using HMD and TMD under random and earthquake excitations are compared through experimental test. It is confirmed that it is more effective to reduce the vibration levels of the test structure using HMD especially for earthquake excitation.

  • Micro wave seeker consists of a gimbal structure, a antenna and many RF parts. And Missile's propelling powers excite a gimbal structure, a antenna and many RF parts. Therefore, We must inquire into external forces to act on a micro wave seeker before everything. We must inquire into design parameters and then estimate dynamic characteristics of a gimbal structure with a finite element model to reflect part's characteristics for design for a gimbal structure in consideration of vibration features. In this paper, a gimbal structure of a micro wave seeker is modeled in finite element method and then updated by using the experimental modal data. Before we make a finite element model of a gimbal structure of a micro wave seeker, we make a finite element model of a sub-structure and compare with the experimental modal data.

  • A vibration test for a cylindrical rod inserted on the grid support structure was tested using the sine sweep excitation method with closed loop force control. The effect of the mounting location of a test rod on the vibration characteristics of a rod continuously supported by the full size($16{\times}16$) grid support was identified. An electromagnetic vibration shaker, non-contact displacement sensor and HP/VXI data acquisition device were used and TDAS software was also used as a data sampling and processing tools. The natural frequencies and mode shape of the test rod were consistent with the previous works of a rod vibration test with partial grids($3{\times}3,\;5{\times}5\;and\;7{\times}7$). The frequency characteristics of the rod according to the mounting location were shown clear discrepancies, but mode shapes were nearly same. As the test rod closes to the bottom clamping region of the spacer grid, peak vibration amplitudes of the rod become smaller.

  • Active vibration control is generally used to reduce vibration level by the actuators based on measured signal. Dynamic properties of a structure can be easily modified by the active vibration control, so that the vibration level may be effectively reduced to the magnitude below the allowable limit over a wide frequency rangs. In this paper, an instantaneous optimal control algorithm including acceleration feedback is presented for the active vibration control of large structures considering facts that the acceleration response can be easily measured, but the displacement and velocity response are obtained by numerically integrating the measured acceleration response with some errors. The adverse effect of the time delay is overcomed by taking into account the dynamic characteristics of an actuator and filters in the design of controller. Performance test is carried out using a hydraulic active mass driver on a test structure$(L{\times}W{\times}H;=;1200mm{\times}800mm{\times}1600mm, about;500kg)$ supported by four columns under base excitations. It is confirmed that the vibration level of the test structure are reduced to about 1/6 near resonance.

  • Structure-borne noise and vibration is one of the main complaints of home appliances such as refrigerators, washing machines, air conditioners, etc. There have been many efforts to reduce the emitting noise and vibration. Mostly the efforts have been concentrated to optimize the mounts shape and its material properties realizing that the vibration power is mainly transmitted to the structure via mounts. It is known that softer mounts have the better vibration isolation effect. But mounts have another important function in addition to the vibration isolation. That is to support the motor and compressor safely. Thus mounts should be stiff enough to resist the supporting items. But the two properties, stiff and soft, are contradict each other. So the designer should compromise the two complicity properties properly in between. Noticing that, motors and compressors themselves are very quite until they are connected to the base structure via mounts, wire connecting idea was proposed in this work. Instead of using conventional mounts, as shown in Fig 4, compressor was mounted using six wires as shown in Fig 5. Since wire is very flexible in bending but stiff in tension, we can realize the ideal mount design requirements, stiff enough to support and soft enough to isolate vibration power. The suggesting idea was tested with an air conditioner outdoor unit.

위성체 설계를 위한 랜덤 진동 해석 (Random Vibration Analysis for Satellite Design)

  • 본 논문은 위성체 동적 환경의 발사체 구조에 의해 전달된 저 주파수의 과도 진동과 불 규칙적인 가속력으로 구성되어 있다. 저 주파수에서의 과도 진동은 보통 진동수 100 ~ 200Hz에 이르는 정현파로 근사되며 주로 예비설계에 사용된다. 그리고, 랜덤 환경은 발사체의 연소와 분리 단계, 외부 공력소 음에 의한 구조적 진동에 의해 발생한다. 이는 발사체 구조물을 통하여 위성체와 발사체의 어댑터 구조로 전달된다. 이러한 동적환경 중에서 랜덤 진동 해석은 위성체에 수행되는데, 특히, 위성체 내의 전자 박스(장비) 는 실제 상황에 가깝게 하여 검증하기 위해 랜덤 진동 실험을 통해 설계 되야 한다.

  • Switched reluctance motor(SRM) has simple magnetic structure, and requires simple power electronic driving circuit. It is very useful for wide range adjustable speed drive system. But, SRM drive generates large vibration and acoustic noise because it is commutated individually by step pulse m.m.f of each phase pole. In the vibration and acoustic noise characteristics. The considerable vibration and noise is induced by radial deforming of stator, so the frequency of dominant vibration and noise is coincident with the frequency of natural mode frequency of mechanical structure. This radial vibration force is generated in the phase commutation region. This paper suggests the new electromagnetic structure of SRM with auxiliary commutation winding which is excited by direct current. This phase and commutation winding are coupled magnetically between one phase winding and the other. Therefore, the switch-off phase current is absorbed by the another phase winding. By this interaction of phase and commutation winding in commutation mechanism, vibration and noise is reduced. And this reduction effect is examined by the test of prototype machine. As a result, SRM with DC exciting commutation winding is very useful to reduce vibration and acoustic noise.

  • Recently, the expansion of social infrastructures and urban redevelopment, the construction works have been a rapidly increase. The subway's noise and vibration are on a continuously increasing status in its importance as by the industrial and cultural development process. Nevertheless, in our country, adequate alternative idea for the construction noise and vibration are not yet established. In this point, the purpose of this study is to know the vibration effect to the structure. This study was used to determine the standard of vibration and the way of losing vibration. The case of construction site is a good example. The data of this study was obtained by a construction company in Korea. Vibration effect could cause structural problems and affect human mental state. The results of this study are as follows; check the vibrating point, determine the suitable limit of vibration, make a good plan and construction.

방진재를 이용한 대형구조물의 철도 진동에 관한 실험적 연구 (Experimental Study on Railway Vibration Isolation of a Large Structure using Isolation Materials)

  • The paper deals with the vibration isolation of a large structure using an experimental technology. In the case of vibration isolation for the vicinity of a subway or a railroad station, most of vibration isolation techniques using isolation materials with high isolation efficiency only, have been applied. Therefore, the quantitative evaluation and design technologies are required for a vibration isolation of large structures. In this study, firstly, vibration characteristics due to train or subway are analyzed. Secondly, the performance of existing vibration isolation materials such as precision isolation material, elastomer is estimated through the experiments. Thirdly, the performance of a tire isolation material and its frame is tested and evaluated. Finally, it is shown that tire isolation materials can be applied to the vibration isolation or vibration reduction of large structures.

외팔보 구조물의 진동감쇠를 위한 동흡진기의 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study on the Vibration Absorber for Vibration Attenuation of Cantilever Beam Structure)

  • This study was carried out vibration attenuation of vibration absorber attached to the cantilever beam structure. Modern tank guns are stabilized to allow fire on the move while traversing uneven terrain. However, as the length of the barrel is extended, to meet required muzzle exit velocities, the terrain induced vibrations lead to increased muzzle pointing errors. Thus, reducing these vibrations should lead to increased accuracy. The vibration absorber includes a compliant energy storage device, such as a spring, and a mass secured to the energy storage device. In this study, it accomplished a research in about gun barrel vibration attenuation using tuned mass damper. The barrel was hung from a bungee cord for free-free condition. It accomplished a vibration experiment for verified attenuation efficiency.
