GPS와 가속도계를 이용한 구조물 거동모니터링의 타당성 연구 (Feasibility Study of Structural Behavior Monitoring Using GPS and Accelerometer)

  • 본 연구는 RTK-GPS (Real Time Kinematic-Global Positioning System) 측위법을 이용한 변위 계측 결과, 가속도계를 이용한 변위계측 결과, 그리고 LVDT(Linear variable differential transformer)의 변위계측 결과를 비교하여 RTK-GPS와 가속도계 센서를 구조물에 적용할 때의 문제점들을 파악하였다. 또한, 관측빈도와 측위 정확도를 향상시킨 RTK-GPS와 가속도계를 이용한 변위계측 결과를 통합 계산하여 절대변위인 LVDT와 비교를 통해 생성된 통합 변위의 정확도와 타당성을 확인하였다.

Simultaneous identification of moving loads and structural damage by adjoint variable

  • This paper presents a novel method based on sensitivity of structural response for identifying both the system parameters and input excitation force of a bridge. This method, referred to as "Adjoint Variable Method", is a sensitivity-based finite element model updating method. The computational cost of sensitivity analyses is the main concern associated with damage detection by these methods. The main advantage of proposed method is inclusion of an analytical method to augment the accuracy and speed of the solution. The reliable performance of the method to precisely indentify the location and intensity of all types of predetermined single, multiple and random damages over the whole domain of moving vehicle speed is shown. A comparison study is also carried out to demonstrate the relative effectiveness and upgraded performance of the proposed method in comparison to the similar ordinary sensitivity analysis methods. Moreover, various sources of error including the effects of noise and primary errors on the numerical stability of the proposed method are discussed.

가변 데이터 전송 가능한 텔레메트리(Telemetry) 송신기 (The Telemetry Transmitter with Variable Data rate Transmission)

  • 본 논문에서는 가변 데이터 전송 가능한 텔레메트리 송신기의 구조에 대해 연구하였다. 가변 데이터 전송을 위하여 가변 컷오프 특성을 가지는 VPMF (variable pre-modulation filter)와 가변입력 샘플레이트 변환기 (variable input sample rate converter)가 결합된 구조를 제안한다. VPMF는 일반적인 PMF (pre-modulation filter)와 동일하게 변조 전 신호의 고주파 성분을 억제하여 RF (radio frequency)신호의 대역을 제한하는 특성을 지니며, 추가적으로 입력 데이터율에 따라 가변 컷오프 특성을 갖는다. 가변입력 샘플레이트 변환기는 입력 데이터율 변경 시 추가적인 구조변경 없이 입력 데이터율과 무관하게 출력을 일정한 샘플링 속도로 변환하는 기능을 갖는다. 추가적으로 실시간 변화하는 데이터양에 대응하기 위해 VPMF와 가변입력 샘플레이트 변환기를 능동적으로 제어하는 소프트웨어 프로그램 기법을 제안한다. 제안 방법을 적용하여 시뮬레이션과 실제 제작을 통하여 입력 데이터율 390 kbps ~ 25 Mbps 범위에서 IRIG (inter-range instrumentation group) 표준의 99% 전력 대역폭, null-to-null 대역폭, 1st IMD (inter modulation distortion) 비교 결과 규격을 만족하는 데이터 전송이 가능함을 확인하였다.

  • The values of a linguistic variable are words, phrases, or sentences in a given language. For example, structural damage can be considered as linguistic variable with values such a 'severely damaged', 'moderately damaged', which are meaningful classifications but not clearly defined, This paper is to evaluate reasonably the correction factor of bridge capacity with the aid of fuzzy sets theory. By using the above mentioned fuzzy measure, the concept of fuzzy integral and linear membership function can be defined. It is concluded that the fuzzy sets theory cam be applied to determine reasonably the correction factor of bridge capacity.

  • The synthesis of control structure involves the selection of controlled variable (or measured variable), and the structure interconnecting measured and manipulated variables (control loops). This paper deals with the synthesis job by using the structural analysis and block relative gain. This synthesis tool is very useful because they require minimal information, and the results show that this is a systematic and efficient metholodgy.

Solution of periodic notch problems in an infinite plate using BIE in conjunction with remainder estimation technique

  • This paper provides a complex variable BIE for solving the periodic notch problems in plane plasticity. There is no limitation for the configuration of notches. For the periodic notch problem, the remainder estimation technique is suggested. In the technique, the influences on the central notch from many neighboring notches are evaluated exactly. The influences on the central notch from many remote notches are approximated by one term with a multiplying factor. This technique provides an effective way to solve the problems of periodic structures. Several numerical examples are presented, and most of them have not been reported previously.

  • 이 연구의 목적은 초등학교 스포츠강사의 전문가주의와 직무소진, 이직의도의 구조적 관계를 규명하는 것이다. 이를 위하여 전문가주의를 독립변수로, 직무소진을 매개변수로 선정하고, 이직의도를 종속변수로 각각 구성 하였다. 자료수집은 편의표본추출법을 이용하여 초등학교 스포츠강사를 대상으로 수집하였으며, 총 253부의 자료가 연구에 활용되었다. 자료처리는 IBM SPSS Ver. 20.0과 AMOS 18.0을 이용하여 빈도분석, 신뢰도분석, 상관분석, 확인적 요인분석, 그리고 구조방정식 모형분석을 하였다. 모형의 적합도를 확인한 후 개별 가설들을 검증하여 다음과 같은 결과를 도출하였다. 첫째, 전문가주의는 직무소진에 부적인 영향을 미쳤다. 둘째, 직무소진은 이직의도에 정적인 영향을 미쳤다. 셋째, 전문가주의는 이직의도에 통계적으로 영향을 미치지 않았다.

Developing a smart structure using integrated DDA/ISMP and semi-active variable stiffness device

  • Recent studies integrating vibration control and structural health monitoring (SHM) use control devices and control algorithms to enable system identification and damage detection. In this study real-time SHM is used to enhance structural vibration control and reduce damage. A newly proposed control algorithm, including integrated real-time SHM and semi-active control strategy, is presented to mitigate both damage and seismic response of the main structure under strong seismic ground motion. The semi-active independently variable stiffness (SAIVS) device is used as semi-active control device in this investigation. The proper stiffness of SAIVS device is obtained using a new developed semi-active control algorithm based on real-time damage tracking of structure by damage detection algorithm based on identified system Markov parameters (DDA/ISMP) method. A three bay five story steel braced frame structure, which is equipped with one SAIVS device at each story, is employed to illustrate the efficiency of the proposed algorithm. The obtained results show that the proposed control algorithm could significantly decrease damage in most parts of the structure. Also, the dynamic response of the structure is effectively reduced by using the proposed control algorithm during four strong earthquakes. In comparison to passive on and off cases, the results demonstrate that the performance of the proposed control algorithm in decreasing both damage and dynamic responses of structure is significantly enhanced than the passive cases. Furthermore, from the energy consumption point of view the maximum and the cumulative control force in the proposed control algorithm is less than the passive-on case, considerably.

Semi-active eddy current pendulum tuned mass damper with variable frequency and damping

  • In order to protect a structure over its full life cycle, a novel tuned mass damper (TMD), the so-called semi-active eddy current pendulum tuned mass damper (SAEC-PTMD), which can retune its frequency and damping ratio in real-time, is proposed in this study. The structural instantaneous frequency is identified through a Hilbert-Huang transformation (HHT), and the SAEC-PTMD pendulum is adjusted through an HHT-based control algorithm. The eddy current damping parameters are discussed, and the relationship between effective damping coefficients and air gaps is fitted through a polynomial function. The semi-active eddy current damping can be adjusted in real-time by adjusting the air gap based on the linear-quadratic-Gaussian (LQG)-based control algorithm. To verify the vibration control effect of the SAEC-PTMD, an idealized linear primary structure equipped with an SAEC-PTMD excited by harmonic excitations and near-fault pulse-like earthquake excitations is proposed as one of the two case studies. Under strong earthquakes, structures may go into the nonlinear state, while the Bouc-Wen model has a wild application in simulating the hysteretic characteristic. Therefore, in the other case study, a nonlinear primary structure based on the Bouc-Wen model is proposed. An optimal passive TMD is used for comparison and the detuning effect, which results from the cumulative damage to primary structures, is considered. The maximum and root-mean-square (RMS) values of structural acceleration and displacement time history response, structural acceleration, and displacement response spectra are used as evaluation indices. Power analyses for one earthquake excitation are presented as an example to further study the energy dissipation effect of an SAECPTMD. The results indicate that an SAEC-PTMD performs better than an optimized passive TMD, both before and after damage occurs to the primary structure.

전달행렬법에 의한 변단면 곡선 상자형 거더교의 정적해석 (Static Aanlysis of Curved box Girder Bridge with Variable Cross Section by Transfer Matrix Method)

  • 근래에 와서 도로교량의 형식 선정에서 미관에 대한 고려가 더욱 더 강조되는 추세 있으며, 미적으로 뛰어난 곡선교의 가설이 자연적으로 선호된다. 전달행렬법은 이론의 체계가 알기 쉽고, 응용범위가 넓은 점에서 구조해석법으로 범용성이 있는 것으로 주목되어 왔다. 전달행렬법에 의한 변단면 곡선 상자형교의 정적해석을 유한요소법과 비교하여 잘 일치함으로써 프로그램의 타당성을 검증하였다. 곡률반경과 중심각에 따른 해석 및 변단면 곡선식에 따른 지간비를 구하여 최적지간비와 변단면 비를 순수비틂이론에 의한 해석치를 분석하였다.
