Let $I{\in}C^{1,1}$ be a strongly indefinite functional defined on a Hilbert space H. We investigate the number of the critical points of I when I satisfies one pair of Torus-Sphere variational linking inequality. We show that I has at least two critical points when I satisfies one pair of Torus-Sphere variational linking inequality with $(P.S.)^*_c$ condition. We prove this result by use of the limit relative category and critical point theory on the manifold with boundary.

Paper has fibers and fines network structure and it is strongly affected by interface bonding between fibers. Depending on the inter-fiber bonding, paper bulk is determined. Fines play an important roll in Campbell and consolidation effect through wet pressing and drying operations. Refined Sw-BKP, Hw-BKP and BCTMP fines were used to investigate the fines effect. Wet-web strength, breaking length, scattering coefficient, and hydrodynamic specific volume were measured. According to the result of experiments, chemical and morphological compositions of fines do not strongly affect to wet-web forming, but strongly affect to drying operations which form hydrogen bonding among fiber-fines-fiber matrixes. Paper bulk should be controlled by the extent of hydrogen bonding between fibers during drying operations.

Some morphological character were surveyed and PR-proteinases were induced and characterized from Lilium formosanum Wallace endeimc to Cheju island . Its flower characters were similar to those of white trumpet lilies(Lilium longiflorum Thunb) although its flowering period was later than that of white trumpet lilies and it hadd a wide range of variation among individuals. Six PR-proteinases(II-2, III-1, III-2, IV-1, IV-2 and V) were induced from bulbs by 2.5mM salicylic acid and almost excreted into the intercellular spaces. These PR-proteinases were strongly activated by Ca 2+, , whereas they were strongly inhibited by Cu2+ Co2+ and Fe2+ . Three PR proteinases(II-2, IV-1 and IV-2) were strongly inhibited by 1, 10 -phenanthroline, indicating that these enzymes are metallo-proteinases. Three PR-proteinases(III-1, III-2 and V) had a high sensitivity to PMSF and required $\beta$-mercaptoethanol for their activities. These results indicate that these proteinases are cysteine proteinases.

In this paper, we introduce a hybrid iterative method for finding a common element of the set of solutions of a mixed equilibrium problem, the set of common mixed points of finitely many nonexpansive mappings and the set of solutions of the variational inequality for an inverse strongly monotone mapping in a Hilbert space. We show that the iterative sequences converge strongly to a common element of the three sets. The results extended and improved the corresponding results of L.-C.Ceng and J.-C.Yao.

Let $CS^{\alpha}(\beta)$ denote the class of normalized strongly $\alpha$-logarithmic close-to-convex functions of order $\beta$, defined in the open unit disk $\mathbb{U}$ by $$\|arg\{\(\frac{f(z)}{g(z)}\)^{1-\alpha}\(\frac{zf'(z)}{g(z)\)^{\alpha}\}\|\leq\frac{\pi}{2}\beta,\;(\alpha,\beta\geq0)$$ where $g{\in}S^*$ the class of normalized starlike functions. In this paper, we prove sharp $Fekete-Szeg\"{o}$ inequalities for functions $f{\in}CS^{\alpha}(\beta)$.

For the purpose of developing advanced new absorbents for carbon dioxide, ionic liquids (ILs) are considered as alternative materials due to their superior properties to conventional organic solvents. Since low $CO_2$ solubility in ionic liquids is a major concern for their application as absorbents, it is essential to focus on improving $CO_2$ absorbing capability of ILs. In this paper, strongly basic ionic liquids, namely [$C_n$-mim]OPh (n = 2, 4, 6), have been synthesized and studied over a wide range of temperature and pressure changes. [$C_n$-mim]OPh can be easily synthesized from corresponding [$C_n$-mim]Cl and sodium phenoxide and has been found to be good $CO_2$ absorbents.

This study investigated whether consumer's characteristics affect their preference of size labeling systems. The survey included 443 women 20 to 64 years of age. The results show that the consumers' preferences of five size labeling systems were different significantly. Subjects strongly prefered the size label in use for many years at the marker. The consumers' preference for various systems was different by resident area, educational level, and body types of the subjects. The system with information on body measrements was prefered by the resident in the metro city area than the resident in the small city. The simplest system was strongly prefered by the subjects having no difficulties on purchasing ready-to-wear garments that reasonably fit their bodies. The subjects belonged to the low educational level strongly prefered the simplest system.

We show the existence of the nontrivial periodic solution for a class of the system of the nonlinear suspension bridge equations with Dirichlet boundary condition and periodic condition by critical point theory and linking arguments. We investigate the geometry of the sublevel sets of the corresponding functional of the system, the topology of the sublevel sets and linking construction between two sublevel sets. Since the functional is strongly indefinite, we use the linking theorem for the strongly indefinite functional and the notion of the suitable version of the Palais-Smale condition.

A ring R is called a left (right) SF-ring if simple left (right) R-modules are flat. It is still unknown whether a left (right) SF-ring is von Neumann regular. In this paper, we give some conditions for a left (right) SF-ring to be (a) von Neumann regular; (b) strongly regular; (c) division ring. It is proved that: (1) a right SF-ring R is regular if maximal essential right (left) ideals of R are weakly left (right) ideals of R (this result gives an affirmative answer to the question raised by Zhang in 1994); (2) a left SF-ring R is strongly regular if every non-zero left (right) ideal of R contains a non-zero left (right) ideal of R which is a W-ideal; (3) if R is a left SF-ring such that $l(x)(r(x))$ is an essential left (right) ideal for every right (left) zero divisor x of R, then R is a division ring.

We obtain the following two inequalities on a strongly pseudoconvex domain $\Omega\;in\;\mathbb{C}^n\;:\;for\;f\;{\in}\;O(\Omega)$ $$\int_{0}^{{\delta}0}t^{a{\mid}a{\mid}+b}M_p^a(t, D^{a}f)dt\lesssim\int_{0}^{{\delta}0}t^{b}M_p^a(t,\;f)dt\;\int_{O}^{{\delta}O}t_{b}M_p^a(t,\;f)dt\lesssim\sum_{j=0}^{m}\int_{O}^{{\delta}O}t^{am+b}M_{p}^{a}\(t,\;\aleph^{i}f\)dt$$. In [9], Shi proved these results for the unit ball in $\mathbb{C}^n$. These are generalizations of some classical results of Hardy and Littlewood.
