간호학생의 스트레스 지각, 대처, 스트레스결과에 대한 구조모형 (A Model for Nursing Students' Stress)

  • The purpose of this study was to test the hypothetical model designed to explain nursing students' perceived stress, coping levels, and stress outcomes. This hypothetical model was based on the Kim. Jung Hee(l987)' s stress model and stress-related literature. Exogenous variables were self-efficacy. hardiness. social support. and exercise. Endogenous variables were stress perception. coping levels. and stress outcomes. Empirical data for testing the hypothetical model consisted of 205 nursing students. SAS PC Program and LISREL 8.12a program were used for descriptive statistics and linear structural relationship(LISREL) modeling. The results were as follows. 1) The overall fit of the hypothetical model to the data was good( $x^2$=78.41(p=0.010), $x^2$/ df=1.50. RMSEA=0.05, standardized RMR= 0.05, GFI=0.95, AGFI=0.91, NNFI=0.90, NFI=0.94). 2) The results of statistical testing of the hypotheses were as follows. (1) As expected. self-efficacy had a significant effect on stress perception. But. hardiness. social support, and exercise did not have a significant effect on stress perception. Self-efficacy, hardiness. social support, and exercise explained 12% of the total variance of stress perception. (2) As expected, self-efficacy, hardiness, social support, exercise, and stress perception had a significant effect on coping behavior, Self-efficacy, hardiness, social support, exercise, and stress perception explained 53% of the total variance of coping behavior. (3) As expected, stress perception and coping behavior had a significant effect on stress outcomes. Stress perception and coping behavior explained 84% of the total variance of stress outcomes. In conclusion, the hypothetical model of this study was confirmed in explaining and predicting stress perception, coping levels, and stress outcomes in nursing students. And these findings suggest the need to develop nursing intervention to enhance self-efficacy, hardiness, social support, and exercise to decrease the harmful outcomes of stress.

직무스트레스에 관한 문헌적 고찰 (A Literature Reviewed of Job Stress)

  • This study reviewed the literature pertaining to the cause and effects of job stress. Many definitions of stress have been offered and the diversity of these definitions has been generated by medical scientists, psychologists, and behavioral scientists. Most approaches dealing with job stress have involved listing of various sources of job stress, moderators, and outcomes. This study is concerned with the selection of variables, the relationships between job stressors and outcomes, and the effects of moderators on these relationships investigated in job stress research. A review of job stress literature presents that various job stressors (e. g., task characteristics, role characteristics, organizational characteristics, career development, and relationships), moderators (e. g., locus of control, type A and B personality, social support, and demographics), and outcomes (e. g., perceived stress, job satisfaction, job commitment, organizational commitment, performance, turnover, and physiological symptoms) were used for a greater understanding of job stress.

조직 내 기술스트레스가 역할과 성과에 미치는 영향: 혁신지원의 조절효과 (How Does Technostress Influence Employees' Role and Performance in An Organization?: The Moderating Effect of Innovation Support)

  • 본 연구는 실증적 설문 자료를 기반으로 역할 스트레스와 성과에 대한 정보통신기술(ICT)에 의해 만들어진 스트레스(즉, 기술스트레스)의 효과를 확인하기 위해 사회기술 이론과 역할 이론의 개념을 사용하였다. 본 연구는 먼저 ICT가 어떠한 방법으로 조직 구성원들의 스트레스를 만들며 기술스트레스를 형성하는 요인은 무엇인지에 대한 다양한 관점을 제시한다. 다음으로 본 연구는 크게 다음의 4가지 가설을 제안한다. (1) 기술스트레스는 역할 스트레스(즉, 역할 충돌과 역할 과중)와 부정적 심리 성과 및 IS 사용의 부정적 성과에 각각 긍정적으로 관련되어 있을 것이다. (2) 역할 충돌은 부정적 심리성과 및 IS 사용의 부정적 성과에 각각 긍정적으로 관련되어 있을 것이다. (3) 역할 과중은 부정적 심리 성과 및 IS 사용의 부정적 성과에 각각 긍정적으로 관련되어 있을 것이다. (4) 혁신 지원은 기술 및 역할 스트레스와 부정적 심리 성과 및 IS 사용의 부정적 성과 사이에서 조절 역할을 할 것이다. 본 연구는 가설들을 검정하기 위해 조직의 ICT 사용자로부터 설문조사를 실시하여 수집된 데이터를 바탕으로 부분최소자승(Partial Least Squares: PLS)법을 사용하였다. 연구결과는 기술스트레스와 역할 충돌 간의 관계에 대한 가설을 제외한 다른 가설들을 지지하는 것을 보여주었다. 본 연구는 이론적으로, 조직에서 개인이 경험한 스트레스에 대한 기존의 개념에 기술스트레스의 확인을 통해 또 다른 차원을 추가적으로 제시하고, 기술스트레스와 역할 스트레스 사이의 긍정적인 관계의 검정을 통해 기술과 조직의 역할 사이의 관계 및 구조를 분석하는 문헌에 새로운 맥락을 제안한다. 실무적으로는 기술스트레스가 조직에 존재하는 정도를 평가하는 진단 도구를 제시하고, 기술스트레스의 역효과는 역할 스트레스를 줄이는 전략에 하나의 유용한 방안이 될 수 있다는 것을 제안한다.

Gender Differences in Stress Levels and Coping Strategies in South Korea While Using Mobile Phones

  • This article examines gender differences in stress levels and coping strategies while using mobile phones. We constructed an e-mail survey to collect data from 1,000 adults in South Korea, and used latent means comparison and multi-group structural regression in structural equation modeling. It was determined that as compared to men, women were more vulnerable to stress. Regarding coping, women used all three coping strategies more equally than men, including active coping, expressive support seeking, and avoidance, whereas men mainly chose active coping; however, there were no significant gender differences in coping outcomes, and both women and men coped effectively by choosing their own personal strategies. We suggested how to reduce stress levels for women through enhancing their self-efficacy, as self-efficacy was shown to reduce stress levels specifically for women. Additionally, based on our findings, we proposed how both men and women could cope more effectively.

직무스트레스관리중재 효과에 대한 메타분석 (A Meta-Analysis of Effects of Job Stress Management Interventions (SMIs))

  • Purpose: This quantitative meta analysis sought to determine the effectiveness of SMIs. Method: Forty-six experimental studies with a randomized or nonequivalent control group pre-post test design were included in the analysis. The selected studies were classified according to the sample characteristics, the types and methods of the interventions, and the types of outcome variables. Six intervention types were distinguished: cognitive-behavioral intervention(CBT), relaxation techniques(RT), exercise(EX), multimodal programs 1 and 2(MT1, 2), and organization-focused interventions(OTs). Effect sizes were calculated for the 4 outcome categories across intervention types: psycho-social outcome, behavioral-personal resources, physiologic, and organizational outcome. Results : Individual worker-focused interventions(ITs) were more effective than OTs. A small but significant overall effect was found A moderate effect was found for RT, and small effects were found for other ITs, The effect size for OTs was the smallest. The interventions involving CBT and RT appeared to be the preferred means of reducing worker's psycho-social and organizational outcomes. With regard to physiologic outcomes, RT appeared to be most effective. CBT appeared to be most effective in reducing psycho-social outcomes. The effects of OT were non-significant, except for the psycho-social outcomes. Conclusions: SMIs are effective. Interventions involving RT and CBT are more effective than other types.

Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) 프로그램이 스트레스 및 삶의 질에 미치는 효과에 대한 분석 (Critical Review of the Effects of Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) on Stress and Health-related Quality of Life (QOL))

  • Purpose: In numerous studies, MBSR programs have been shown to reduce stress and improve health-related QOL. Although MBSR programs have been shown to be beneficial, its effects have not been well-determined among Korean populations in clinical nursing practice. The purpose of this review was to describe the effects of MBSR on stress and health-related QOL so that the potential benefits of this intervention may be evaluated for wider application in Korea. Methods: Articles published in peer-reviewed journals in the English or Korean language up to 2009 were reviewed; 14 articles met the inclusion criteria for this review and there were no Korean papers. Results: MBSR groups were found to have significantly reduced stress outcomes relative to non-MBSR groups in 6 of 11 studies. In regards to health-related QOL, participants of the MBSR programs had increased scores after MBSR intervention relative to control groups in 5 of 7 studies. Conclusion: MBSR programs was effective in decreasing stress and increased the health-related QOL in the majority of studies reviewed. MBSR merits study in Korean patients to determine whether similar salutary patient outcomes may be obtained.

Using Online Information Support to Decrease Stress, Anxiety, and Depression

  • Today, online education is becoming more important. The effectiveness of online education has been measured by student satisfaction and the possibility of substituting offline education. This study proposes a plan to increase the effectiveness of education in a new form by using online information. Education is the process of socializing and growing learners. Representative negative emotions experienced by learners are stress, anxiety, and depression (SAD). A reduction in SAD will promote student growth and improve educational outcomes. This paper considers online information by dividing it into online educational information support (OEDIS) and online emotional information support (OEMIS). We demonstrate that OEDIS reduces SAD, and OEMIS reduces stress and anxiety. By providing online information, negative emotions can be reduced, and educational outcomes can be improved. This study suggests a new role for online information support, such as emotional change in individuals and solving psychological problems. Online information support goes beyond knowledge transfer and can be used in various fields, such as online education that promotes human growth and positive change, and even healthcare.

電析니켈에 있어서 電着條件이 內部應力에 미치는 影響 (Effect of Plating Conditions on Internal Stress of Nickel Electrodeposits)

  • Internal stress of electrodeposited metals affect physical and mechanical characteristics of deposits. Internal stress of nickel deposits was reviewed intensively. Important outcomes are as follows. Substrate have an important effect on internal stress of electrodeposit. Origin of its internal stress could be explained mismatch of crystal lattice and coalescence of crystallites. When surface cleaning is not satisfying, instantaneous stress is low but the electrodeposited layer being thickened increasingly stress become to high and peeling phenomenon occurs. Effect of current density and temperature on internal stress is variable. Internal stress increases rapidly at pH 5 and above because of codepositing colloidal materials caused hydrolysis. Concentrations of nickel ion and $H_3BO_3$ ion affect little on internal stress and solution which contains impurities tend to increase stress. Especially impurities of $H_2O_2$ and iron ion have a great effect on internal stress. Additives are divided in two kind. One is increasing tensile stress another is increasing compressive stress. Concentrations of additives have a great effect on internal stress.

통신업 근로자의 직무스트레스와 사회심리적 스트레스의 관련성 (The Relationship between Job Stress and Psychosocial Stress in Telecommunication Service Workers)

  • This study examined the associations between job stress and psychosocial stress in telecommunication service workers. In this survey, four hundred seventy workers and six variables(general characteristics, state of health, job characteristics, personality, psychosocial characteristics, and job stress) were used to measure worker's subjective satisfaction and status of stress. The results of this study indicated that 135 workers($28\%$) were classified into a high risk group to stress, 317 workers($67\%$) were into a potential risk group, and only 18 workers($6\%$) were into a healthy group. Also the results indicated that job stress outcomes related to job characteristics, personality, and psychosocial characteristics.

노인전문병원의 치유적 옥외환경과 이용자의 건강성과 간의 상관관계에 관한 연구 (A Study on Correlation between Therapeutic outdoor environments and Health outcomes in Geriatric Hospital)

  • This study aims to examine the outdoor environment of a geriatric hospital and explore its stress-relief impact upon those who utilize it. Post Occupancy Evaluation is employed to assess the effectiveness of a healthcare setting. This study is based on survey questionnaire including the users' perception of outdoor environment, their perceived restorativeness, and quality of life. A total of one hundred and sixty individuals including patients, families and visitors, and healthcare staffs. As a result, it turns out that the therapeutic outdoor environment and its users' health outcomes, such as reststroativeness and quality of life are significantly correlated. In conclusion, the finding of this research seems to demonstrate the potential that the therapeutic outdoor environment has for the improvement of its users' health by enhancing.
