This study is intended to investigate the properties of early strength development by application of TEA to the field. According to the results, when TEA is added, fluidity is almost same to base concrete, and increases upto aimed slump after field flowing. Setting time does not differ in the case of base and TEA, but retarded after flowing. The time when compressive strength gains 5 MPa, which side form can be removed, is 23 hours, and so the removal time is shortened by I hours in comparison with plain concrete. But compressive strength is almost same to that of plain concrete at 28 days. The rebound value of P type schmidt hammer show similar tendency to compressive strength, and the rebound value of structure is higher than that of standard curing specimen due to heat capacity effect and drying by the air outside. Therefore, it is thought that if the rebound value of P type schmidt hammer is controled. by about 26 in consideration of open air environment, it is very effective to determine the removal time of side forms.
High temperature wear of AlCrN coated tool steels sliding against the ultra-high strength boron steels used for hot press forming has been studied. The sliding wear tests have been carried out using a pin-on-disc of configuration under applied normal load of 50 N for 20 min with heating the ultra-high strength boron steels up to $800^{\circ}C$. Characterizations of tribolayers formed on the contacting surfaces between the tribopairs of the AlCrN coated tool steels and the ultra-high strength boron steels have been studied. It was found on the tribolayers of the AlCrN coated tool steels that microcracking and oxides containing Fe and Cr to increase friction coefficient were formed at the early stage of sliding wear, followed by the generation of the smeared oxide layers containing Fe transferred from the tribopair to decrease friction coefficient. This may mainly contribute to very low specific wear rate of the AlCrN coated tool steels sliding against the ultra-high strength boron steels, resulting from oxideoxide contact between the tribopair.

The quantity of Recycled concrete powder is increased, because it hal been ever so often crushing for production of a good quality recycled aggregates This Study is on the Development of Concrete-Product by Using Recycled Concrete Powder and alto for know performance of concrete-producted having low water contents and it is to know for all of performance of concrete-producted having low water contents The conclusions of this study are following. The use of replacement cement is not effective, because it has strengh of less than 10MPa But It is possible to develop high strength concrete-producted having 39MPa above compressive strength by using recycled concrete powder. Because strength enhancement effects by recycled concrete powder are responsible to optimum grading. The conclusions of this study are following. Rapidly solidified ribbon-consolidation processing was applied for preparation of high strength bulk Mg-Zn-Gd alloys. Mg alloys have been used in automotive and aerospace industries. Rapid solidification (RS) process is suitable for the development of high strength Mg alloys, because the process realizes grain-refinement, increase in homogeneity, and so on. Recently, several nanocrystalline Mg-Zn-Y alloys with high specific tensile strength and large elongation have been developed by rapidly solidified powder metallurgy (RS P/M) process. Mg-Zn-Y RS P/M alloys are characterized by long period ordered (LPO) structure and sub-micron fine grains. The both additions of rare earth elements and zinc remarkably improved the mechanical properties of RS Mg alloys. Mg-Zn-Gd alloy also forms LPO structure in -Mg matrix coherently, therefore, it is expected that the RS Mg-Zn-Gd alloys have excellent mechanical properties. In this study, we have developed high strength RS Mg-Zn-Gd alloys with LPO structure and nanometer-scale precipitates by RS ribbon-consolidation processing. $Mg_{97}Zn_1Gd_2$ and $Mg_{95.5}Zn_{1.5}Gd_3$ and $Mg_{94}Zn_2Gd_4$ bulk alloys exhibited high tensile yield strength (470 MPa and 525 MPa and 566 MPa) and large elongation (5.5% and 2.8% and 2.4%).

In this study, the characteristic of strength development of high volume fly ash concrete(HVFAC) was experimentally investigated. The production of one ton of portland cement releases about 0.87ton of CO2 into the atmosphere. HVFAC is an emerging material technology and is environmentally friendly because of its reduced use of portland cement, reduced CO2 emissions. For this purpose, two levels of W/B were selected. Seven levels of fly ash replacement ratios and two levels of silica fume replacement ratios were adopted. In the concrete mix, the water content of 125kg/m3 was used, which is less than that of usual water content. As a result, it was observed that the slump of concrete was increased with the increasing fly ash replacement ratio and when the silica fume was incorporated into the concrete, the slump was significantly decreased at the same condition. It appeared that the compressive strength gradually decreased with increasing fly ash replacement ratio at the early age, but the difference of strength up to replacement ratio of 50% was little at the age of 91 days because of the pozzolanic reaction of fly ash.

Currently, cement and concrete industries have been contributing to the CO2 emission worldwide. Because of that, the efforts to minimize CO2 have been the subject of many researches. This study focus on the use of GGBFS and fly ash in mortar specimens as a patial replacement of cement. Because of the limitation of the initial compressive strength, the newly efforts to enhance the strength through CO2 Curing was adapted. To accelerate the reaction with CO2, MgO was replaced by percentage from 0 to 100%. Results showed that compressive strength values at 7 days with CO2 curing done on specimens was higher than that with no CO2 curing. Similar trend was observed at 14 days too. It is therefore appeared that CO2 curing has an obvious effect on compressive strength development of mortar specimens.

In this study, the experiment was carried out to investigate and analyze the influence of fineness of blast furnace slag powder on the properties of high strength concrete. The main experimental variables were water/binder ratio 27.5, 31.5, 35.5(%) water content $165kg/m^3$ and mineral admixtures such as blast furnace slag powder. Even in a case where the ratio of blast furnace slag powder is 70%, using a fineness of 8000 grade afforded a higher strength development than using a plain concrete, which indicates the potential of high utilization in the future. Although it has been pointed out that the concrete using blast furnace slag powder has a problem of yielding relatively low rate of strength development in the early age, it is demonstrated that this can be resolved by using a powder with fineness greater than 6000 grade. It is considered necessary that powder fineness should be upgraded for the applications such as high performance concrete to be used in high strength required areas by considering hydration heat control and early strength requirements in the future.

This paper is about a research of steam curing which is one of the curing methods for accelerating the early-age strength of pre-cast concrete. With cylinder mold and mock-up specimen, the research was executed to study the best cycle of steam curing temperature through quantifying cycle of steam curing and maximum temperature, while the required strength is developed under the early-age. Moreover, causes and measurements for the high temperature of concrete, which is due to the steam curing, and the crack, which occurs when removing steel form, are stated. Ultimately, the economical method of producing, which satisfies early-age strength development and quality assurance while manufacturing PC structure, is stated.

Ground granulated blast furnace slag (GGBS) is a by product obtained from iron and steel industries, useful in the design and development of high quality cement paste/mortar and concrete. This paper investigates the applicability of relevance vector machine (RVM) based regression model to predict the compressive strength of various GGBS based concrete mixes. Compressive strength data for various GGBS based concrete mixes has been obtained by considering the effect of water binder ratio and steel fibres. RVM is a machine learning technique which employs Bayesian inference to obtain parsimonious solutions for regression and classification. The RVM is an extension of support vector machine which couples probabilistic classification and regression. RVM is established based on a Bayesian formulation of a linear model with an appropriate prior that results in a sparse representation. Compressive strength model has been developed by using MATLAB software for training and prediction. About 70% of the data has been used for development of RVM model and 30% of the data is used for validation. The predicted compressive strength for GGBS based concrete mixes is found to be in very good agreement with those of the corresponding experimental observations.
