Design and Implementation of UAV System for Autonomous Tracking

  • Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) is diversely utilized in our lives such as daily hobbies, specialized video image taking and disaster prevention activities. New ways of UAV application have been explored recently such as UAV-based delivery. However, most UAV systems are being utilized in a passive form such as real-time video image monitoring, filmed image ground analysis and storage. For more proactive UAV utilization, there should be higher-performance UAV and large-capacity memory than those presently utilized. Against this backdrop, this study described the general matters on proactive software platform and high-performance UAV hardware for real-time target tracking; implemented research on its design and implementation, and described its implementation method. Moreover, in its established platform, this study measured and analyzed the core-specific CPU consumption.

  • The military services have sought to improve the overall quality, management, and delivery of military technical information in all of its aspects. The efforts concentrated on developing IETM(Interactive Electronic Technical Manual) by using the application of computer technology for the storage, control, and presentation of maintenance, system-operation, training, and other forms of logistic-support technical information. In this paper, the methodologies are presented to evaluate the operational effectiveness of IETM which consists of confirmity and performance. Confirmity is evaluated by the check-sheet based on the standard of CALS, and performance by the comparison of the technician performance between IETM and paper-TM.

글로벌 클립보드 시스템에 대한 기초 연구 (Preliminary Study on Global Clipboard System)

  • 본 논문은 글로벌 클립보드 시스템을 제안하고 초기 단계의 연구에 대해 기술한다. 클립보드는 윈도우 운영체제에서 프로그램 사이에 복사-붙여넣기를 위해 일시 저장해두는 저장 공간이다. 글로벌 클립보드는 기존의 클립보드를 인터넷 범위로 확장하여 여러 응용프로그램들이 데이터를 주고받을 수 있는 데이터 전송 시스템이다. 글로벌 클립보드는 2단계로 작동한다. 한 컴퓨터의 사용자가 Ctrl-C와 Ctrl-Shift-C 키를 입력하여 선택한 콘텐츠를 글로벌 클립보드에 올리면, 다른 컴퓨터의 사용자가 Ctrl-Shift-V와 Ctrl-V 키를 입력하여 글로벌 클립보드에 들어 있는 콘텐트를 받아 활용할 수 있다. 글로벌 클립보드는 텍스트, 스크린 캡쳐 이미지, 파일, 디렉터리 등을 모두 다룬다. 본 논문에서는 글로벌 클립보드 서버와 글로벌 클립보드를 활용하는 윈도우 응용프로그램과 안드로이드 앱을 작성하고 시험하였으며, e-mail, 카카오톡, 구글드라이브 등과 사용자의 편리성을 비교한 결과, 높은 편리성을 가지는 것으로 분석되었다.

다수의 도어를 갖는 크로스도킹 터미널에서 입고와 출고를 병행하는 트럭일정계획을 위한 유전알고리즘 (A Genetic Algorithm for Scheduling of Trucks with Inbound and Outbound Process in Multi-Door Cross Docking Terminals)

  • Cross docking is a logistics management concept in which items delivered to a terminal by inbound trucks are immediately sorted out, routed and loaded into outbound trucks for delivery to customers. Two main advantages by introducing a cross docking terminal are to consolidate multiple smaller shipment into full truck load and remove storage and order picking processes to save up logistics costs related to warehousing and transportation costs. This research considers the scheduling problem of trucks in the cross docking terminals with multi-door in an inbound and outbound dock, respectively. The trucks sequentially deal with the storage process at the one of inbound doors and the shipping process at the one of the outbound doors. A mathematical model for an optimal solution is derived, and genetic algorithms with two different chromosome representations are proposed. To verify performance of the GA algorithms, we compare the solutions of GAs with the optimal solutions and the best solution using randomly generated several examples.

우라늄 베드 초기온도 및 헬륨농도의 수소 흡장 영향 (Hydriding Performance in a Uranium Bed depending on the Initial Bed Temperatures and Helium Contents)

  • Korea has been developing nuclear fusion fuel storage and delivery system (SDS) technologies including a basic scientific study on hydrogen storage. To develop nuclear fusion technology, it is necessary to store and supply hydrogen isotopes needed for Tokamak operation. SDS is used for storing hydrogen isotopes as a metal hydride form. The rapid hydriding of tritium is very important not only for safety reasons but also for the economic design and operation of the SDS. In this study, we designed and fabricated a medium-scale getter bed of depleted uranium (DU). The hydriding of DU has been measured by varying the initial temperature ($100-300^{\circ}C$) of the DU getter bed to investigate the influence of the cooling temperature. Furthermore, we analyzed the effect of a helium blanket on the hydriding performance with 0 - 12% helium content in hydrogen.

창고관리시스템 시뮬레이터의 설계 및 구현 (Design and Implementation of Warehouse Management System Simulator)

  • 본 논문에서는 창고관리시스템 시뮬레이터를 설계/구현하였다. RFID와 USN을 활용한 유 무선 네트워크 기반 하에 창고에 보관될 물품을 고려하고, 창고에 대한 최적설계 작업을 지원하는 시뮬레이션 툴은 현재 없다. 또한, 물품 입고 후 창고 모니터링을 통해 온도, 습도, 조도 등 상태 변환 정보에 의한 출고시기 결정 등 물품보관 방법에 대한 전용 시뮬레이션 툴도 없다. 본 논문에서는 창고의 설계도면을 도해할 수 있는 기능을 구현하였다. 그리고 도시된 도면위에 센서 노드와 RFID 태그를 부착한 팔레트의 이동 정보 및 위치한 곳의 상태 변환 정보(온도, 습도, 조도)를 수신하여 이를 다양한 방법으로 분석할 수 있는 시뮬레이터를 설계/개발 하였다. 본 논문을 통해 물류 시스템의 최적 운용을 위한 창고의 설계 방식과 창고내의 운영을 사전 시뮬레이션 함으로써 재고정확도, 공간 설비 활용도, 제품처리능력 향상으로 제품망실, 보관위치 오지정, 피킹시간을 감소시킬 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

이력 데이터베이스를 이용한 다품종 생산제품의 원부자재 관리 시스템 (A Materials Management System for Products of Various Kinds using Historical Database)

  • 범용 ERP 시스템은 중소형 생산 기업의 생산제품 관리에 부적합한 경우가 종종 발생된다. 이와 같은 이유로 기업의 특성에 맞는 시스템을 다시 개발하여 사용해야 할 필요성이 있다. 이 논문에서는 전선을 생산하는 기업의 다품종 생산제품의 원부자재 관리 시스템을 구현한다. 첫째, 생산 공정에 필요한 원부자재 정보의 데이터베이스를 설계한다. 둘째, 주문 제품을 생산하기 위한 자재 소요량 자동 산출 모들을 개발한다. 셋째, 생산 공정에서의 원부자재의 매입 및 매출 정보를 관리한다. 마지막으로, 입고 및 출고의 이력 관리 모듈, 이력 집계 보고서 출력 모듈을 구현한다.

IPA분석을 이용한 정기화물운송업의 경쟁력 강화방안에 관한 연구 (A Study on IPA-based Competitiveness Enhancement Measures for Regular Freight Service)

  • Purpose - Despite the structural irrationality of multi-level transportation and the oil price rise, the domestic freight transportation market continues to grow, mirroring the rise in e-commerce and resultant increase in courier services and freight volumes. Several studies on courier services have been conducted. However, few studies or statistics have been published regarding regular freight services although they have played a role in the freight service market. The present study identifies the characteristics of regular freight service users to seek competitiveness enhancement measures specific to regular freight services. Research design, data, and methodology - IPA is a comparative analysis of the relative importance of and satisfaction with each attribute simultaneously. This study used IPA because it facilitates the process of analyzing importance and performance, deriving implications and a visual understanding of results. To enhance the competitiveness of regular freight services, this study surveyed its current users regarding the importance of the regular freight service factors. A total of 200 copies of a questionnaire were circulated and 190 copies were returned. In addition to demographics, respondents answered questions about the importance of and satisfaction with services on a 5-point Likert scale. Excluding 3 inappropriate copies, 187 out of 190 copies were analyzed. PASW Statistics 18 was used for statistical analysis. A total of 20 question items were selected for the service factors presented in the questionnaire based on the 1st pilot survey and previous studies. Results - According to the IPA performed to compare the importance of and satisfaction with service factors, both importance and satisfaction are high in the 1st quadrant, which involves the economic advantage of using regular freight services, quick arrival at destinations, weight freight handling, and less time constraints on freight receipt/dispatch. This area requires continuous management. Satisfaction is higher than importance in the 2nd quadrant, which involves the adequacy of freight, cost savings over ordinary courier services, notification on freight arrival, and freight tracking information. This area requires intensive investment and management. Satisfaction is lower than importance in the 3rd quadrant, involving the credit card payment system, courier delivery service, distance to freight handling sites, easy access to freight handling sites, and prompt problem solving. This area requires further intensive management. Both importance and satisfaction are low in the 4th quadrant, involving the availability of collection service, storage space at freight handling sites, kindness of collection/delivery staff, kindness of outlet staff, and easy delivery checks. This area is a set of variables should be excluded from priority control targets. Conclusions - Based on the IPA, service factors that need priority controls because of high importance and low satisfaction include the credit card payment system, delivery service, distance to freight handling sites, easy access to freight handling sites, and prompt problem solving. The findings need to be applied to future marketing strategies for regular freight services and for developing competitiveness enhancement programs.

아웃도어 활동기반 웨어러블 광에너지 하베스팅 장치 디자인에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Design of a Wearable Solar Energy Harvesting Device Based on Outdoor Activities)

  • This study develops a wearable solar energy harvesting device that absorbs solar energy to generate and store power which can be used during outdoor activities by users even after dark. For this study, a prototype hat for outdoor activities at night was developed after the design of a solar energy harvesting generation, storage, and delivery system was designed that could store energy to light up LEDs. First, the main control board of the system was designed to integrate the charging function, the darkness detection circuit, the battery voltage sensing circuit, and the LED driving circuit in order to reduce bulkiness and minimize the connection structure. It was designed to increase convenience. Second, the system was designed as a wearable fashion product that connected each part with fiber bands and manufacturing it so as to be detachable from the hat. Third, charging and LED operation tests show that the battery is fully charged after 5 hours even in winter when the illuminance value is low. In addition, the LED operation experiment verified the effectiveness of a buffered system that could operate the LEDs for about 3 hours at night.

Feasible approach of contactless power transfer technology combined with HTS coils based on electromagnetic resonance coupling

  • The contactless power transfer (CPT) systems have been recently gaining popularity widely since it is an available option to realize the power delivery and storage with connector-free devices across a large air gap. Especially, the CPT with electromagnetic resonance coupling method is possible to exchange energy within 2 m efficiently. However, the power transfer efficiency of CPT in commercialized products has been limited because the impedance matching of coupled coils is sensitive. As a reasonable approach, we combined the CPT system with HTS wire technology and called as, superconducting contactless power transfer (SUCPT) system. Since the superconducting coils have an enough current density, the superconducting antenna and receiver coils at CPT system have a merit to deliver and receive a mass amount of electric energy. In this paper, we present the feasibility of the SUCPT system and examine the transmission properties of SUCPT phenomenon between room temperature and very low temperature at 77 K as long as the receiver is within 1.0 m distance.
