Grid Voltage-sensorless Current Control of LCL-filtered Grid-connected Inverter based on Gradient Steepest Descent Observer

  • This paper presents a grid voltage-sensorless current control design for an LCL-filtered grid-connected inverter with the purpose of enhancing the reliability and reducing the total cost of system. A disturbance observer based on the gradient steepest descent method is adopted to estimate the grid voltages with high accuracy and light computational burden even under distorted grid conditions. The grid fundamental components are effectively extracted from the estimated gird voltages by means of a least-squares algorithm to facilitate the synchronization process without using the conventional phase-locked loop. Finally, the estimated states of inverter system obtained by a discrete current-type full state observer are utilized in the state feedback current controller to realize a stable voltage-sensorless current control scheme. The effectiveness of the proposed scheme is validated through the simulation results.

GEOMETRIC DISTANCE FITTING OF PARABOLAS IN ℝ3

  • We are interested in the problem of fitting a parabola to a set of data points in ℝ3. It can be usually solved by minimizing the geometric distances from the fitted parabola to the given data points. In this paper, a parabola fitting algorithm will be proposed in such a way that the sum of the squares of the geometric distances is minimized in ℝ3. Our algorithm is mainly based on the steepest descent technique which determines an adequate number λ such that h(λ) = Q(u - λ𝛁Q(u)) < Q(u). Some numerical examples are given to test our algorithm.

  • Herein, an algorithm for efficient evaluation of oscillatory Fourier-integrals with Jacobi-Cauchy type singularities is suggested. This method is based on the use of the traditional Clenshaw-Curtis (CC) algorithms in which the given function is approximated by the truncated Chebyshev series, term by term, and the oscillatory factor is approximated by using Bessel function of the first kind. Subsequently, the modified moments are computed efficiently using the numerical steepest descent method or special functions. Furthermore, Algorithm and programming code in MATHEMATICA® 9.0 are provided for the implementation of the method for automatic computation on a computer. Finally, selected numerical examples are given in support of our theoretical analysis.

  • In many industrial experiments, some practical constraints often force factors in an experiment to be much harder to change than others. Such an experiment involves randomization restrictions and it can be thought of as split-plot experiment. This paper investigates the path of steepest ascent/descent within a split-plot structure. A method is proposed for calculating the coordinates along the path.

  • This paper proposes an efficient fault diagnosis for digital circuits using multilayer neural networks. The efficient learning algorithm is also proposed for the multilayer neural network, which is combined the steepest descent for high-speed optimization and the dynamic tunneling for global optimization. The fault-diagnosis system using the multilayer neural network of the proposed algorithm has been applied to the parity generator circuit. The simulation results shows that the proposed system is higher convergence speed and rate, in comparision with system using the backpropagation algorithm based on the gradient descent.

  • 본 논문에서는 실측된 실내 충격 응답을 모델링하여 실내 잔향 필터 설계를 시도하였다. 급강하법(steepest descent method)을 이용하여 측정된 실내 충격 응답을 4개의 콤 필터(comb filter)와 2개의 올패스 필터(allpass filter)로 이루어진 잔향 필터로 모델링하여, 잔향 필터의 계수를 결정하였다.

  • 현재까지의 적응 필터(adaptive filter)의 설계 방법을 대별하면 국부 파라미타 최적화(local parameter optimization)방법[1]과 안정성(stability)을 주한점으로 하는 방법[1-3] 의 두 가지로 된다. 그리고 이들 중에서 비교적 간단한 방법은 로칼 파라미터 최적화 방법으로서, 이것에서는 스티피스트-디샌트(steepest-descent)방법[15]을 이용하는 LMS 알고리즘을 대표적인 것으로 들 수 있다. 적응 필터의 설계에 있어서 가장 중요한 것은 수검 속도를 높이는 일이다. 본 논문은 적응 비순환 필터의 설계를 위한 고속 수검 알고리즘을 개발하는 문제에 관하여 연구한 것으로, 적응 이득(adaptation-gain)을 적절히 조정함으로써, 종래 사용되어 오던 LMS 알고리즘 및 그의 변형인 여러 알고리즘에 비하여 수검 속도를 높일 수 있으며 동시에 안정성이 높은 새로운 알고리즘을 제시하였다. 그리고 제안된 알고리즘을 이용한 적응 필터의 특성 배선 문제를 다각도로 검토하였다.
