스틸밴드로 외부 보강된 철근콘크리트 기둥의 부착강도에 관한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study on Splitting Bond Strength of RC Column Reinforced with External Steel-Band)

  • 실험에서는 스틸밴드로 외부보강된 철근콘크리트 부재의 부착강도에 관한 연구를 진행하였으며 총 9개의 실험체를 제작하여 인발 실험을 실시하였다. 실험결과 스틸밴드의 수와 초기응력의 증가에 따라 부착강도는 증가하는 것으로 나타났다. 이것은 스틸밴드에 의해 가해지는 긴장력으로부터 철근과 콘크리트간 횡방향에 의한 구속력 증가로 판단된다. 변수로한 실험결과들을 통하여 스틸밴드로 외부보강된 철근콘크리트 부재에 관한 부착강도 산정식을 검토하였다.

플래시버트 용접과 연속열간압연법으로 제조된 철근의 기계적 성질과 미세조직에 미치는 합금원소의 영향 (Effect of Alloying Elements on Mechanical Properties and Microstructure of Steel Bar Fabricated by Endless Bar Rolling System with Flash Butt Welding)

  • Flash butt welding is applied in many industries. New technology was developed recently for joining billets which called "EBROS (Endless Bar Rolling System)". After reheating billets in furnace, two billets were joined using flash butt welding. The objective of this study was to investigate the effect of alloying elements on mechanical properties of flash butt welded zone of hot rolled steel bar. The tensile properties on welded zone of Fe-Mn steel and Fe-Mn-V steel were dropped as compared with non-welded zone. Fe-Mn-Nb steel was opposed to the former. It was found that the white band at the welded zone had high ferrite volume fraction and large ferrite grain size. The vertical white band between flash butt welded billets was transformed into an arrowhead it of steel bar. According to this band, softening has been appeared. There was a interesting phenomenon with HAZ of Fe-Mn-Nb Steel, 40nm scale of particles were observed and hardness of HAZ was higher than non-welded zone.

반도체 장비용 직교 로봇의 스틸 밴드 마모 문제 해결에 관한 연구 (A Study on Wear Problem of Cartesian Robot for Semiconductor Equipment)

  • Cartesian robot is used in semiconductor manufacturing. Friction between steel band and mover wears the steel band. The emission of wear particle from steel band contaminates semiconductor equipment. At the manufacturing site, the steel band is replaced periodically to minimize the generation of wear particle. But this is not a good way to minimize the generation of wear particle, because it is hard to specify the moment of replacement. We suggested the methodology to minimize the generation of wear particle using TRIZ technique. Also we made prototype robot which the solution is applied, and the performance of the solution was verified through experiments. As a result of verification, it was confirmed that the solution significantly reduced the generation of wear particle compared to the standard way.

이축반복하중을 받는 2주형 철근콘크리트 교각의 내진성능과 보강 (Seismic Performance and Retrofit of Reinforced Concrete Two-Column Piers Subjected to Bi-directional Cyclic Loadings)

  • 본 연구는 도로교의 교각으로 널리 사용되고 있는 2주형 철근 콘크리트 교각의 내진성능과 보강방안을 실험적으로 수행하였다. 실험체는 지름 400mm, 높이 2,000mm인 2주형 원형교각 10기를 제작하였으며, 하중은 $0.1f_{ck}A_g$ 크기의 축방향하중하에서 교축방향과 교축직각방향의 이축 횡방향하중을 교번 반복재하하였다. 실험변수는 심부구속철근비, 주하중방향, 주철근 겹침이음 그리고 보강방안을 선택하였다. 주철근 겹침이음이 있는 교각에 대한 보강방안으로 steel band, steel jacket, 그리고 prestress 강선을 이용하였다. 실험 결과 주하중방향이 교축직각인 실험체가 소성힌지구간이 교각의 상 하부 양측에 발생하면서 주하중 방향이 교축방향인 실험체보다 연성 능력이 우수한 것으로 나타났다. 프리스트레스 강선으로 보강한 실험체는 과보강으로 인한 소성힌지구간의 이동으로 연성도 저하가 나타났으나, steel jacket 및 steel band로 보강한 실험체는 모두 요구연성도를 만족하는 것으로 나타났다. 특히, steel band에 의한 보강방안은 시공성 등을 감안하여 바람직한 철근 콘크리트 교각의 내진 보강방안으로 고려될 수 있다.

4340강의 단열 전단밴드생성에 대한 유한요소해석 및 실험적 고찰 (Finite element analysis and experiment on the formation of adiabatic shear band in 4340 steel)

  • A study of adiabatic shear band formation and propagation of 4340 steel was done using the stepped speciment which was subjected to high velocity impact. The high velocity impact was performed on compression Hopkinson bar impact machine. After the controlled impact, the specimen was prepared for visual inspection. Numerical simulation was also performed with same geometrical dimension using explicit time integration finite element code. Experimental results were then compared with the numerical prediction. It was found that the numerical prediction is quite accurate, average thickness of adiabatic shear band is about $10{\mu}m$, the macro crack around shoulder is due to folding, and the deformation control ring is effective to freeze the propagation of adiabatic shear band.

  • 초저온 액화가스인 LNG의 저장탱크에 사용되는 9% 니켈강은 Inconel 혹은 Hastelloy 계열 용접봉을 사용하여 용접되며, 용접부는 저합금강과 오스테나이트 스테인리스강의 이종금속 용접부와 유사한 특성을 가지고 있다. 용접부에 대한 방사선투과시험 시 용접조건에 따라 밴드형태의 지시가 방사선투과 필름 상에 나타나곤 한다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 이에 대한 해석을 위하여 재료, 방사선투과시험, 초음파탐상시험, 액체침투탐상시험 및 조직시험을 통하여 의사지시 여부를 확인하였으며, 방사선투과시험 해석 및 밴드형태 지시의 발생 원인을 제시하였다.

Band Plate로 연결된 RC기둥-철골보 접합부의 이력거동에 관한 실험연구 (Structural Behavior of the RC Column-Steel Beam Joint with Band Plate)

  • This paper presents the experimental result of Reinforced Concrete column-steel beam joint connected by Band Plates(BP). Main parameters in the test are the shape of BP and thickness of plate. Ten interior and exterior RC column-steel beam joint specimens are designed. Cyclic loads are applied to the beam end of eight specimens (four interior specimens and four exterior specimens). To evaluate the cyclic effect, monotonic loads are acted for two specimens. All specimen showed similar failure pattern such as the plate of BP get torn after the large deformation. Even though the specimen with double cross type BP has lower strength than the specimen with single cross type BP, the energy dissipation capacity of the specimen turned out high. Thus, provided the strength of joint with double cross type to be designed to have suitable strength by increasing the thickness of plate, the joint system may show higher seismic capacity.

Prediction of hysteretic energy demands in steel frames using vector-valued IMs

  • It is well known the importance of considering hysteretic energy demands for the seismic assessment and design of structures. In such a way that it is necessary to establish new parameters of the earthquake ground motion potential able to predict energy demands in structures. In this paper, several alternative vector-valued ground motion intensity measures (IMs) are used to estimate hysteretic energy demands in steel framed buildings under long duration narrow-band ground motions. The vectors are based on the spectral acceleration at first mode of the structure Sa($T_1$) as first component. As the second component, IMs related to peak, integral and spectral shape parameters are selected. The aim of the study is to provide new parameters or vector-valued ground motion intensities with the capacity of predicting energy demands in structures. It is concluded that spectral-shape-based vector-valued IMs have the best relation with hysteretic energy demands in steel frames subjected to narrow-band earthquake ground motions.

FRP 횡보강근을 이용한 RC 교각의 내진성능 평가 실험 (Experimental Evaluation for Seismic Performance of RC Bridge Piers with FRP Confinement)

  • Recently, there are much concerns about new and innovative transverse materials which could be used instead of conventional transverse steel in reinforced concrete bridge piers. FRP materials could be substituted for conventional transverse steel because of their sufficient strength, light weight, easy fabrication, and useful applicability to any shapes of pier sections, such as rectangular or circular sections. The objective of this research is to evaluate the seismic performance of reinforced concrete bridge pier specimens with FRP transverse reinforcement by means of the Quasi-Static test. In the first task, test columns were made using FRP rope, but these specimens appeared to fail at low displacement ductility levels due to insufficient confinement of strand extension itself. Therefore, the second task was to evaluate the seismic performance of test specimens transversely confined with FRP band. Although FRP banded specimens showed lower seismic performance than the specimen with spiral reinforcing steel, it satisfied with the response modification factor, 3, required for the single column of Korea bridge roadway design code. It was concluded that FRP band could be efficiently substituted for conventional reinforcing steel.
