소형 터보제트 엔진 시험 및 불확도 분석 (Small Turbojet Engine Test and Uncertainty Analysis)

  • 한국항공우주연구원은 추력 3,000 lbf급 고공환경 시험설비인 Altitude Engine Test Facility(AETF)를 갖추고 소형 가스터빈엔진의 고공환경 성능시험에 활용하고 있다. AETF를 국제수준으로 발진시키기 위하여 측정정화도 및 신뢰도 향상을 위한 일련의 연구를 진행하고 있으며 측정불확도 개선을 위한 설비 개선이 일부 진행된 상태이다. 본 연구에서는 해면고도(sea level), 마하수(Mn) 0.3, 0.5, 0.7, 0.9일 때 단축(single spool) 터보제트 엔진에 대한 정상상태 성능시험을 수행하였고, 이를 성능 예측 프로그램(DECK)과 비교분석하였다. 가스터빈엔진의 주요 성능변수인 공기유량, 추력, 비연료소모율에 대하여 측정불확도를 분석하여 총기유랑은 0.791~0.914%, 순추력은 0.851~1.706%의 불확도를 나타내었고 연료 유량의 측정불확도는 1.372~7.348%, 비연료소모율의 측정불확도는 1.642~5.205%로 산정되었다. 또한 본 연구를 통하여 측정불확도 개선 방안이 확인되었다.

초임계 CO2 발전용 파워 터빈의 회전체 동역학 해석 및 구동 시험 (Rotordynamic Performance Analysis and Operation Test of a Power Turbine for the Super critical CO2 Cycle Application)

  • This paper presents a rotordynamic analysis and the operation of a power turbine applied to a 250 kW super-critical $CO_2$ cycle. The power turbine consists of a turbine wheel and a shaft supported by two fluid film bearings. We use a tilting pad bearing for the power turbine owing to the high speed operation, and employ copper backing pads to improve the thermal management of the bearing. We conduct a rotordynamic analysis based on the design parameters of the power turbine. The dynamic coefficients of the tilting pad bearings were calculated based on the iso-thermal lubrication theory and turbine wheel was modeled as equivalent inertia. The predicted Cambell diagram showed that there are two critical speeds, namely the conical and bending critical speeds under the rated speed. However, the unbalance response prediction showed that vibration levels are controlled within 10 mm for all speed ranges owing to the high damping ratio of the modes. Additionally, the predicted logarithmic decrement indicates that there is no unstable mode. The power turbine uses compressed air at a temperature of $250^{\circ}C$ in its operation, and we monitor the shaft vibration and temperature of the lubricant during the test. In the steady state, we record a temperature rise of $40^{\circ}C$ between the inlet and outlet lubricant and the measured shaft vibration shows good agreement with the prediction.

습식 클러치 드래그 토크 특성의 실험적 평가 (Experimental Assessment of Drag Torque of Wet Clutch)

  • Currently, fuel efficiency becomes one of critical issues for automotive industries as concerns about environmental and energy problems grow. In an automatic transmission of an automobile, a drag torque due to a viscous drag of a fluid between friction and clutch plates is one of factors that degrade fuel economy. In this work, the drag torque characteristics of a wet clutch was experimentally investigated with respect to rotational speed, temperature of automatic transmission fluid (ATF), and gap between friction and clutch plates. The experimental results showed that drag torque increases to a certain level, and then decrease to the steady state value with increasing rotational speed. This behavior may be associated with two-phase flow of air and ATF at gap between friction and clutch plates. Also, it was found that the maximum drag torque value decreased as ATF viscosity decreases with increasing temperature. However, it was shown that the point at which the maximum drag torque occurs was not significantly affected by the ATF temperature. In addition, maximum drag torque was found to decrease as the gap between friction and clutch plates increased from 0.1 mm to 0.2 mm. Furthermore, it was observed that the generation of maximum drag torque was delayed as the gap increased. The outcomes of this work are expected to be helpful to gain a better understanding of drag torque characteristic of a wet clutch, and may therefore be useful in the design of wet clutch systems with improved performance.

다중 트랙픽 지원을 위한 CDMA 예약 ALOHA 방안의 성능 분석 (Performance Analysis of CDMA Reservation ALOHA for Multi-traffic Services)

  • 본 논문은 음성 그리고 우선권이 있는 연속적인 트래픽 및 우선권이 없는 랜덤 트래픽을 완전 패킷 방식으로 제공할 수 있는 CDMA 예약 ALOHA 방식을 제안한 것으로, 성능에 영향을 미치는 패킷의 충돌과 타사용자 간섭을 최소로 하는 구조로 되어 있다. 제안된 구조에서 시간 슬롯과 패킷은 같은 크기를 갖고 각각 액세스/전송 단계와 액세스/전송 필드로 나누어져 있다. 액세스 단계에서 패킷의 충돌을 줄이기 위해 piggyback을 이용한 예약과 시스템 평형 상태에서 추정한 경쟁 사용자 수를 이용한 액세스 허용 확률을 이용하고, 전송 단계에서의 타사용자 간섭을 줄이기 위해서 액세스 단계에서 기지국으로부터 전송코드를 할당받은 패킷만이 전송 단계에서 전송을 할 수 있게 하였다. 즉, 음성과 우선 순위가 있는 연속적인 트래픽에 대해 예약을 허용하여 실시간 전송을 가능하게 하고, 우선권이 없는 랜덤 트래픽에도 액세스 허용 확률을 적용하여 전송 지연을 줄일 수 있었다. 또한, 단일 셀 환경의 평형 상태에서 Markov 모델링 기법을 이용하여 각 트래픽의 요구하는 성능을 수식적으로 유도하고, 모의실험을 통해 성능을 도시하였다.

돼지분뇨 처리를 위한 Farm-scale Two-phase Anaerobic Digester의 실증운영에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Practical Operation of a Farm-scale Two-phase Anaerobic Digester for the Treatment of Swine Manure)

  • A two-phase anaerobic digestion system for the treatment of swine waste was constructed in a commercial hog farm. The digester system was composed of 4 major units; slurry storage pit, acidogenic digester, methanogenic digester and sedimentation pit. A biogas boiler unit was also attached to maintain the digester temperature of 37$^{\circ}C$. Substrate lading was made with 2hr-interval by pumping about 2.1$m^3$ of slurry type swine waste from the slurry pit into the acidogenic digester, which corresponds to hydraulic retention time of 4 days for the acidogenic digester and of 11 days for the methanogenic digester. Digester temperature were well maintained as the set temperature of 37$^{\circ}C$ in the methanogenic digester, while the temperature in the acidogenic digester showed around 34$^{\circ}C$. pH also showed a steady-state results of 7.3 in the acidogenic digester and of 7.6 in the methanogenic digester during the operation period. Average biogas production rate was 0.66$m^3$/$m^3$ digester volume. Reduction rate of total solid and volatile solid were 42.8% and 5.8%, respectively. Total nitrogen and ammonia nitrogen were not reduced during the anaerobic fermentation, however, most of VFAs seemed to be converted to the biogas,. These fermentation performance data may suggest that he newly developed a two-phase anaerobic digester for the swine waste treatment worked so successfully.

무대의상 연구의 동향 분석 (Analysis of Research Trends on Domestic Stage Costumes)

  • This study examines research trends in the dissertations and journal articles on stage costume so as to provide basic information on directions for future studies. The data was collected from the theses of domestic journals of the Korean Studies Information (KSI) which were published until December, 2012 and retrieved by a keyword related to the "design of stage costume", "costume for performing art", and etc. Theses and articles for the analyses were a total of 200 published. Reviewing the theses by dividing the times into 8 Chronicles of 5 years in each term. The findings of the study are as follows: According to the chronological analysis, there has been a steady increase in the rates of the musical, ballet, dance, and circus costume and cutting edged technology such as LED has been utilized in the performing art, currently. The real production and making up of the costumes have been increasing as well by replacing of illustration and rendering of the costumes. In the recent costume of the performing arts show the tends of the visual effects and up-sizing, comprehensiveness and fusion. From the analysis of the background of the work, those were confirmed that the most common historical period was modern period, and places were France, England, and Egypt. In regard to research themes and methods, many of research papers utilized content analysis method, character analysis method as research methods. The most popular presentation of the costume designs was "rendering", "costumes schedule" and "illustration". However, development and explanation of the patterns was insufficient and constructions methods and real works(costumes) were usually omitted in the articles.

MS Excel 시뮬레이터(PKES)를 이용한 하수처리장 유출수 및 온실가스 모델링 (Modelling of effluent and GHGs for wastewater treatment plants using by MS Excel simulator(PKES))

  • This paper presents PKES(PuKyung -Excel based Simulator) for WWTPs(wastewater treatment plants) by using MS Excel and VBA(Visual Basic for Application). PKES is a user-friendly simulator for the design and optimization of the whole plant including biological and physico-chemical processes for the wastewater and sludge treatment. PKES calculates the performance under steady or dynamic state and allows changing the mathematical model by the user. Mathematical model implemented in PKES is a improved integration model based on ASM2d and ADM1 for simulation of AS(activated sludge) and AD(anaerobic digestion). Gaseous components of $N_2$, $N_2O$, $CO_2$ and $CH_4$ are added for estimation of GHGs(greenhouse gases) emission. The simulation results for comparison between PKES and Aquasim(EAWAG) showed about the same effluent concentrations. As a result of verification using by measured data of BOD, TSS, TN and TP for 2 years of operation, calculated effluent concentrations were similar to measured effluent concentrations. The values of average RMSE(root mean square error) were 1.9, 0.8, 1.6 and 0.2 mg/L for BOD, TSS, TN and TP, respectively. Total GHGs emission of WWTP calculated by PKES was 138.5 ton-$CO_2$/day and GHGs emissions of $N_2O$, $CO_2$ and $CH_4$ were calculated at 21.7, 28.9 and 87.9 ton-$CO_2$/day, respectively. GHGs emission of activated sludge was 32.5 % and that of anaerobic digestion was 67.5 %.

고속도로에서 GPS 거리와 고도데이터를 이용한 연비 향상 정속 순항 제어 알고리즘 (Fuel Economy Improvement Cruise Control Algorithm using Distance and Altitude Data of GPS in Expressway)

  • A vehicle fuel economy is very important issue in view of fuel cost and environmental regulation. It has been improved according to the performance improvement of the vehicle engine, power train and many components. It was evaluated at given mode (LA-4, FTP-75, etc) on an engine dynamometer or computer simulation program. In this paper, the fuel economy improvement cruise control algorithms as controling a vehicle velocity by road load calculated and predicted in a real expressway with gradient was studied. Firstly, the altitude and distance data which was measured with GPS sensor was already installed in the ECU of a vehicle. Then the vehicle equipped with GPS receiver is driven the same expressway. The ECU calculates the gradient angle and the in-/decreasing velocity using the gradient angle by comparing the current received distance and altitude data from GPS with the saved data ahead of the vehicle. Therefore the ECU can calculate and predict the vehicle velocity considering tolerance velocity of next position with running. Then the ECU controls the vehicle velocity to meet this predicted velocity in all section. Three cruise control algorithms with the different velocity profiles for the improvement of fuel economy are proposed and compared with the computer simulation results that the vehicle runs on Youngdong expressway. The proposed CVELCONT2 and CVELCONT3 algorithms were improved 3.7% and 4.8% of fuel economy compared with CONSTVEL which is steady cruising algorithm. These two algorithms are recommended as the Eco-cruise drive methodologies in this paper.

지구 저궤도에서 운용되는 영상센서를 위한 열설계 및 열해석 (Thermal Design and Analysis for Space Imaging Sensor on LEO)

  • 지구의 저궤도에서 운용되는 영상센서는 극저온 환경에서 태양 복사 뿐 아니라 지구의 적외선 및 알베도(Albedo)의 영향을 받는다. 극한 환경에 노출되는 영상센서는 작동/비작 동시 허용 온도를 벗어나지 않도록 열설계가 필요하며, 정상상태 에너지 평형식을 통해 필요한 방열판 면적 및 히터 예비 설계 값을 설정한다. 일반적으로 위성체 패널에 주기를 갖는 발열장비가 장착되어, 패널의 일부를 방열판 면적으로 설계한다. 본 논문에서는 위성체와 분리하여 설계하는 영상센서의 열제어를 위하여, 내부에서 항상 발열하는 장비의 열을 히트파이프를 이용하여 패널에 장착된 방열판으로 효과적으로 전달하도록 설계하였다. 예비 설계값을 기준으로 수치해석에 기반을 두는 SINDA를 이용하여 궤도 열해석을 실시하여, 방열 면적 및 히터 설계는 쉽고 빠르게 계산되어졌다. 또한, 방열 성능을 유지하면서 질량을 줄이도록 방열판을 립형상(Rib-type)으로 설계하였으며, 궤도 열해석 결과, 영상센서의 열적 요구사항을 만족함을 검증하였다.

2차원 정상전열해석을 통한 교육시설의 알루미늄 창호 열성능 평가에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Evaluation of Thermal Performance of Aluminium Alloy Window Frame considering 2D Steady-state Heat Transfer applied to Educadtional Facility)

  • 본 연구에서는 기존 교육시설에 설치된 알루미늄 합금 창의 2차원 정상상태 전열해석을 통한 열성능 평가를 수행하였다. 교육시설의 주요 창호재료로 적용된 알루미늄은 열전도율이 $175 \;Kcal/m^2h^{\circ}C$ 정도로 플라스틱 소재와 비교하여 매우 불리하여 기존 시설에 설치된 알루미늄 창호는 열손실의 주요인으로 지적되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 점에 착안하여 충남 서산지방에 위치한 대학건물의 알루미늄 합금 창호의 열성능 평가에 관한 연구를 수행하여 다음과 같은 해석 결과를 도출하였다. (1) 2차원 정상상태 전열해석을 위한 경계조건은 국토해양부고시 건축물의 에너지절약설계기준의 [별표 6] 중부지방 냉난방장치의 용량계산을 위한 설계 외기온 기준과 [별표 7]의 실내온도 기준을 적용하여 여름철 실내 $27^{\circ}C$, 실외 $31.3^{\circ}C$, 겨울철 실내 $21.0^{\circ}C$, 실외 $-9.6^{\circ}C$ 로 설정하고 해석한 결과 열관류율은 알루미늄 합금 창호는 $U=9.631 \;W/m^2K$, 복층유리 $U= 2.382 \;W/m^2K$로 여름철과 겨울철 동일한 해석결과치가 산출되었다. (2) 산출된 열관류율 해석결과를 건축물의 에너지절약설계기준 [별표 3] 열교차단재가 적용되지 않은 금속제 창의 단열성능 중 일반복층창 성능기준인 $4.0 \;W/m^2K$와 비교할 때, 알루미늄 창틀을 통하여 225%의 열량이 손실됨을 보여 주고 있다.
