외부조사 방사선치료 기간 중 총담도 스텐트의 위치 변화가 컸던 사례 (A Bile Duct Cancer Patient Whose Stent Shifted Significantly Over the Course of External Beam Radiotherapy)

  • 담도암 환자의 방사선치료 기간 중, 총담도에 삽입된 스텐트가 환자 복부의 우측부터 좌측까지 매우 넓은 범위로 움직인 경우를 발견하였다. 환자는 80세 노령의 여자로 흉추가 심한 척추 후만증을 보였고 흉추와 요추 몇 부위들에 압박골절이 있어서 키가 작았고 복부장기들이 아래로 내려와 있었다. 환자는 쇠약하고 야윈 상태였는데 방사선치료 기간 중 매주 컴퓨터단층촬영을 시행하여 비교한 결과 몸의 좌우방향으로 4 cm 이상의 스텐트의 위치 이동을 보였다. 따라서 흉추 후만증이 있으며서 몸이 매우 야윈 담도암 환자의 경우 방사선치료 범위 설정 시에 치료 기간 중 담도나 스텐트가 크게 움직일 가능성을 고려해야 할 것이다.

여고생 바지 교복의 사이즈 체계 및 착용 실태에 관한 연구 (A Study on Sizing System and Wearing Conditions with School Uniform Pants for Highschool Girls)

  • The purpose of this study was conducted to provide basic information on developing highschool-uniform pants with more suitable fit. To carry out this study, questionnaires were administered to 187 students in high schools in Gwangju. The collected data were analyzed with frequencies statistics, t-test, ANOVA using the SPSS WIN 18.0. The results are as follows; As results of research on highschool-uniform regulation, 88% of the highschool in Gwangju allowed their students to wear school uniform pants. As results of investigation on the school-uniform pants sizing system of manufacturing firm, it was found that there's a trend towards increasing a large size with the change body type. The size labelling for school uniform pants was waist circumference-stature. There were differences in pants sizes according to the manufacturing firm and body measurements such as hip circumference, in seam length, pants length. As results of survey on wearing conditions, the selection of school uniform pants has increased in winter season. The most important body measurement in the choice of purchase was thigh circumference. In fit of uniform pants, respondents answered that waist circumference and hip circumference became smaller according to the physical growth.

  • Russell-Silver 증후군은 자궁내 성장 지연, 특징적인 얼굴 기형, 저신장을 특징으로 하는 질환이다. Russell-Silver 증후군에서 동반되는 신질환은 말굽 신장, 신세뇨관 산증, 물콩팥증, 요관 깔때기막힘, 방광 요관 역류 등이 있다. 저자들은 Russell-Silver 증후군 환자에서 말기 신부전이 발생한 예를 경험하였으며 문헌 고찰에서 유사한 증례를 찾을 수 없었기에 보고하는 바이다.

양마비자(Diplegia)의 피복구성을 위한 인체계측에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Body Measurement of Diplegia Individual for the Clothing Construction)

  • In order to get the basic information about the designing and manufacturing of special clothing which is suitable diplegia individuals, taking anthropometic measurements, the di-plegia's body dimension, standard dimension, their correlation, maximum, minimum, the relative deviation graph of Mollison and the body index were obtained. The writer examined their body development and abnormal somatotype and compared the difference with the normal somatotype. The results are as follows: 1 One characteristic of the body of diplegia individuals is that their lower parts are dis- proportionately developed, compared to their upper parts. 2. Diplegia individuals have smaller measurements than those of the normal; height, breadth, and circumference measurments of lower parts. And diplegia individuals have larger measur- ments; breadth and circumference measurements of upper parts, most of the length measur- ements. 3. In body index, diplegia individuals have lager measurments than those of the normals; most of index for stature and chest circumference and waist circumference index. And diplegia individuals have smaller measurments; most of the lower parts. 4. Change of somatotype according to age is unbalanced different from the normal's. 5. For the proportion of diplegia individuals, therefore a different pattern design of ciothing is required based on their special somatotype.

소비자용 가상모델 개발을 위한 성인여성 체형구분 및 가상모델치수 분석 (An Analysis of Women's Somatotype and Virtual Fitting Model Size for the Development of Virtual Fitting Models for Consumer)

  • This study analyzed a somatotype that was more suitable to a virtual fitting model and to improve the reality of a virtual model size. We analyzed 1,868 women 18-59 years old from the 6th Size Korea data. First, factor analysis was done for abstracting new criteria for dividing the somatotype; subsequently, we selected the waist height proportion to stature (body proportion) and drop (torso shape). Next, the cluster analysis was done with these criteria and 7 body proportion types and 11 torso shapes were distinguished. A virtual model size for the most common somatotype was also developed by a regression analysis of constituting sizes of each factor that was compared with body sizes well as with Clo's virtual model size. The model of this research showed a high similarity in sizes with body as well as improved better realisty than the Clo model which presented size problems such as longer limbs, bigger bust, smaller waist and a smaller arm circumference than the real body.

  • 본 논문은 영국의 창작산업과 국내 현황의 비교를 통해 국내 애니메이션 산업의 발전방안을 모색해보고자 하는 데 있다. 영국의 창작산업은 이 분야가 갖는 경제적 효과 때문에 1980년대 이후 영국의 문화정책에서 점점 더 중요성을 더해왔으며, 애니메이션 산업은 다양한 표현기법과 실험정신을 바탕으로 독자적인 위상을 구축하고 있다. 반면 한국의 애니메이션 산업은 기존의 OEM작업에 주력했던 업체들이 창작물이나 새로운 형태의 제작에 관심을 기울이고 있다. 이를 위해 본 연구에서는 국내 콘텐츠 산업이 핵심 산업으로 발전할 수 있도록 기존의 기술 중심의 정책에서 창조적인 정책으로 발전을 도모할 수 있는 방안을 도출하고자 한다.

미국 노년여성의 신체 만족도 및 의복 중요도에 관한 연구 (A Study of Body Satisfaction and Clothing Consciousness among American Women between the Ages of 60 and 90)

  • This study explored elderly American women's body satisfaction and clothing consciousness with the methods of survey and body measurement. To that end, I first investigated their self-perception of body size and body satisfaction and also the relationships between those, along with the relationships between body measurements and body satisfaction. Then, I analyzed the differences in elderly women's body satisfaction and clothing consciousness among different body type groups. For the last, I examined the degree of their body thinness or obesity and ideal body size in order to explore the standard for ideal body shape among elderly women. Elderly American women were satisfied with most of their body parts except waist circumference and weight. Body satisfaction with stature, weight, and hip circumference was correlated to both size perception and body measurement. Body satisfaction with thigh circumference and leg length was correlated to size perception, and also that with waist circumference and neck length to body measurement. Size perception showed differences among body types, but body satisfaction did not show notable differences among body types. There were significant differences between real size and ideal one. Elderly American women thought that clothing was important in their everyday life.

Systematic review of the clinical and genetic aspects of Prader-Willi syndrome

  • Prader-Willi syndrome (PWS) is a complex multisystem genetic disorder that is caused by the lack of expression of paternally inherited imprinted genes on chromosome 15q11-q13. This syndrome has a characteristic phenotype including severe neonatal hypotonia, early-onset hyperphagia, development of morbid obesity, short stature, hypogonadism, learning disabilities, behavioral problems, and psychiatric problems. PWS is an example of a genetic condition caused by genomic imprinting. It can occur via 3 main mechanisms that lead to the absence of expression of paternally inherited genes in the 15q11.2-q13 region: paternal microdeletion, maternal uniparental disomy, and an imprinting defect. Over 99% of PWS cases can be diagnosed using DNA methylation analysis. Early diagnosis of PWS is important for effective long-term management. Growth hormone (GH) treatment improves the growth, physical phenotype, and body composition of patients with PWS. In recent years, GH treatment in infants has been shown to have beneficial effects on the growth and neurological development of patients diagnosed during infancy. There is a clear need for an integrated multidisciplinary approach to facilitate early diagnosis and optimize management to improve quality of life, prevent complications, and prolong life expectancy in patients with PWS.

Catch-up growth and catch-up fat in children born small for gestational age

  • Infants born small for gestational age (SGA) are at increased risk of perinatal morbidity, persistent short stature, and metabolic alterations in later life. Recent studies have focused on the association between birth weight (BW) and later body composition. Some reports suggest that fetal nutrition, as reflected by BW, may have an inverse programing effect on abdominal adiposity later in life. This inverse association between BW and abdominal adiposity in adults may contribute to insulin resistance. Rapid weight gain during infancy in SGA children seemed to be associated with increased fat mass rather than lean mass. Early catch-up growth after SGA birth rather than SGA itself has been noted as a cardiovascular risk factor in later life. Children who are born SGA also have a predisposition to accumulation of fat mass, particularly intra-abdominal fat. It is not yet clear whether this predisposition is due to low BW itself, rapid postnatal catch-up growth, or a combination of both. In this report, we review the published literature on central fat accumulation and metabolic consequences of being SGA, as well as the currently popular research area of SGA, including growth aspects.

동적 체압 분포를 이용한 운전 자세 변화와 요추지지대의 정량적 평가 (Quantitative Evaluation of Driver's Postural Change and Lumbar Support Using Dynamic Body Pressure Distribution)

  • Although body pressure distribution is sensitive to movements and is relatively simple to measure even in small space, there are few researches involving applications to driver's posture and its change. The main objective in this study is the application of body pressure distribution measurements for the prediction of the driver's posture and its change. This requires quantitative analyses of the dynamic body pressure distribution, which is the change of body pressure distribution with time. The experiment involved 16 male subjects who drove for 45 minutes in a seating buck. Measurement time, stature group, and lumbar support prominence were selected as independent variables, with subjective ratings of driver's discomfort, body posture data of hip, torso. knee angle, and body pressure data variables as dependent variables. The body pressure change variables and subjective ratings were found to increase as the measurement time increased and body pressure ratio variables reflected the torso angle. From the results and analysis of the body posture data and subjective rating results, it was predicted that the seats and the design of the lumbar supports used in the experiment was not fit for tall subjects, which could also be confirmed through the body pressure distribution data.
