The 509 samples were selected through an online survey, and the collected data were conducted using the SPSS WIN26.0 program for frequency analysis, descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, and hierarchical regression analysis. As a result of the analysis, depression had a static effect on Internet addiction. Informational support and material support, among the four sub-factors of social support served as a moderator variable in the relationship between depression and Internet addiction. Based on the results, the followings were proposed; It emphasizes differentiated welfare services and interdisciplinary convergence research that are suitable for middle-aged women's characteristics, and suggests the necessity of internet addiction prevention education such as proper usage habits for internet use.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of family health on self-regulation and social competence in infants of single-parent families. The subject of this study was a survey of 350 children aged 3 to 5 who were enrolled in a kindergarten located in Seoul. Parents were asked to respond, and the collected data were analyzed using SPSS Statistics and SPSS Process Macro, and multiple regression analysis, Pearson's correlation analysis, and bootstrapping analysis were performed. The research results were as follows. First, the family health of single-parent families was partially positively correlated with self-regulation and social competence of infants. Second, it was found that the self-regulation ability of infants had a mediating effect on the relationship between single-parent family health and the social competence of infants. Considering the results of this study, it could be understood that the social competence of infants is affected by the relationship between family members rather than the family type of a single-parent family.

  • Purpose: The incidence of high-risk pregnancies is increasing in Korea as the birth age increases due to late marriage. Maternal-fetal attachment is an important factor that affects children even after childbirth, but it is difficult for high-risk pregnant women to form maternal-fetal attachment. The current study aimed to explore whether taegyo practice (i.e., pregnant women's efforts for fetal good growth and development), self-esteem, and social support influenced the degree of maternal-fetal attachment in women with high-risk pregnancies. Methods: The participants included 226 pregnant Korean women at ≥20 gestational weeks, hospitalized with 15 high-risk pregnancy conditions as defined by the Ministry of Health and Welfare. Recruitment via convenience sampling was done at four sites in Busan, Korea. Surveys were distributed and collected from February 1 to 28, 2022. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive statistics, the t-test, one-factor analysis of variance, Pearson correlation coefficients, and hierarchical multiple regression. Results: On average, participants were 33.97±4.23 years of age and at 31.65±6.23 gestational weeks. Preterm labor (35.4%) and gestational diabetes (21.0%) were the most common high-risk conditions. Maternal-fetal attachment was positively correlated with taegyo practice (r=.70, p<.001), self-esteem (r=.53, p<.001), and social support (r=.53, p<.001), all with statistical significance. Taegyo practice (β=.50, p<.001) and social support (β=.17, p=.030) explained 53% of variance in maternal-fetal attachment in women with high-risk pregnancies. Conclusion: Nurses caring for women with high-risk pregnancies during hospitalization can use these findings by promoting taegyo practice and enhancing social support to increase maternal-fetal attachment.

  • In today's financial industry, Fintech (financial technology) has showed its role of an innovation-driving area, which can bring outstanding changes to the traditional financial market. This article will briefly introduce Fintech as well as its development in Vietnam. Besides, the research also provided a survey on experts' opinions on the challenges to the promotion of Fintech application for the modernization of the banking-finance system in Vietnam. The survey results of 40 experts in banking with knowledge of Fintech identify five challenges faced by Fintech companies in Vietnam: (1) legal corridor; (2) infrastructure; (3) Fintech companies; (4) customers; and (5) human resources. From these five challenges/barriers, there are 14 detailed aspects. The results of the expert survey using descriptive statistics show that all five factors are assessed to be low and need to be better addressed in the future. The authors suggest several solutions for further development of Fintech to support the modernization of the banking-finance system in Vietnam: (1) quickly complete the regulatory framework; (2) introduce policies on tax exemption; (3) promote research and application of the benefits of block-chain technology; (4) utilize the abilities of the human resources; and (5) actively promote and popularize knowledge about Fintech.

  • This paper explores a new methodology of socio-statistical survey to classify environmental perception characteristics and to quantify atmospheric environmental sensitivity of neighboring people around a large industrial complex. In order to compensate intrinsic inclination against environmental problems, Atmospheric Environmental Sensitivity Index (AESI) is proposed as the weighted-summation of four representative questions asking the current status of the local air quality, which are chosen by the factor analysis of questionnaire. Atmospheric environmental perception is tried to be classified into interest/indifference characteristics and rational/emotional perception on environmental issues, positive/negative opinion on the solution of environmental problems. According to the chi-square cross-correlation and two-way layout analyses, it was clearly shown that environmental perception is categorized into two major groups, i.e., the positive-rational group having lower AESI and the negative-emotional group having higher AESI which means more seriously senses the status of local air quality.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to identify the mediating effects of self-esteem between social comparison orientation and social network service (SNS) addiction in university students. Methods: Descriptive cross-sectional survey design was employed. The data were statistically analyzed by using the descriptive and inferential statistics. Sobel test and Bootstrap method, and Kappa squared mediation effect size measure were used to identify the mediator's significance. A convenience sample of 195 subjects was recruited from two universities in Korea. Results: The mean age of the subjects was $22.58{\pm}1.81$. The subjects showed relatively high levels of SNS addiction with a mean score of $14.33{\pm}4.80$. The overall model significantly explained 37.0% of variances in the subjects' SNS addiction after controlling gender, age, grade, major, period of SNS using, time spent on SNS per day, and times accessed SNS per day. Of the predictors, time spent on SNS per day, social comparison orientation, and self-esteem were significantly associated with SNS addiction. Self-esteem was the mediator between social comparison orientation and SNS addiction. Conclusion: When developing strategies for preventing SNS addiction, interventions for reducing time spent on SNS per day, not having upward social comparison orientation, and improving the self-esteem should be considered. These findings might provide a theoretical basis for developing effective strategies for preventing SNS addiction in university students.

  • During the past three decades, there have been drastic changes in many fields in Korea. Social and economic changes which occurred meantime have influenced clothing expenditures of Korean consumers. The purpose of this study was to investigate the change of clothing expenditures and its determinants in Korea during the period of 1965 to 1993. In particular, the impacts of income and price on clothing expenditures were examined using data from the National Acccounts published by the Bank of Korea as well as Urban Household Economy Survey published by the Bureau of National Statistics. Per-person consumption expenditures for clothing and shoes (CSX) in permanent price generally increased in accordance with the increase of income since 1965. From 1978 to 1984, however, there was a slight decrease in clothing expenditures in spite of the continuous increase in income, due to the depression of national economy. The proportion of CSX in total consumer spendings has decreased continuously since 1978. In recent years, CSX take only 5% of national aggregate consumption expenditures, while consumption expenditures of urban consumers is 8%. The expenditures for traditional clothing and fabrics for home- sewing decreased most. The results of this study should provide a broader view of the pattern of clothing consumption by Korean consumers. Moreover, the findings can suggest how social and economic changes of a society affect consumers' clothing expenditures.
