Using the normalized sample Lorenz curve which is introduced by Kang and Cho (2001), we propose the test statistics for testing of normality that is very important test in statistical analysis and compare the proposed test with the other tests in terms of the power of test through by Monte Carlo method. This report describes a preliminary study necessary to implement Measurement Assurance Program (MAP). The purpose of the study is to improve the measurement reliability of the laboratories which take environmental pollution measurement. We carried out the interlaboratory test or "Round-Robin" test program in which seven laboratories participated in order to obtain more reliable data about water pollution.pollution.

In this paper, we consider the c-sample location problem for ordered alternatives using median ranked ordering-set samples(MROSS). We propose the test statistic using the median of samples that have the same ranked order in each cycle of ranted ordering-set sample(ROSS). We obtain the asymptotic property of the proposed test statistic and Pitman efficiency with respect to other test statistic. In simulation study, our proposed test statistic has good powers for some underlying distributions we consider.

Background and Purpose : The purpose of this study was done to investigate what kinds of statistical techniques have been used to analyze data from oriental medicine research Methods : 135 original articles which used statistical techniques in their data analysis were selected from the articles published in The Journal of Korea Institute of Oriental Medicine(JKIOM) between 1995 to 2007. Results : Among 135 articles, 59 articles used descriptive statistics while 76 articles used inferential statistics for data analysis. For that 76 articles, two-sample t-test(33 articles), analysis of variance(29 articles), regression(9 articles), chi-square test(5 articles), nonparametic test(4 articles), Fisher's exact test(3 articles), and other test(9 articles) were chosen to analyze the data. SAS and SPSS statistical softwares(82.50%) were mostly used to analyze the data. Nonparametic tests were used to 4 articles(6.97%) of 67 articles and parametic tests were used to 63 articles(93.03%) of 67 articles. Among 29 articles used analysis of variance, duncan(8 articles), dunnet(4 articles), bonferroni(4 articles), turkey(3 articles), scheff(1 article) were used to do multiple comparison. 9 articles did not carry out the multiple comparison. Conclusions : It was found that the frequencies of statistical package used and statistical analysis used were not much by now. High level statistical analyses were not used most for oriental medicine research.

It is demonstrated that many standard nonparametric test such as the Mann-Whitney-Wilcoxon test, the Fisher-Yates test, the Savage test and the median test are admissible for a two-sample nonparametric testing problem. The admissibility of the Kruskal-Wallis test is demonstrated for a nonparametric one-way layout testing problem.

The newly revised bioequivalence guideline of Korea allows the add-on test since July 1, 2008 and some discussion from statistical point of view would be needed for a practical use. The statistical model of add-on test is introduced and its two stage testing procedures are discussed. Meaningful statistical points of the add-on test are delivered through an illustrated example.

The problerm of testing for a constant mean is considered. A Kolmogorov-Smirnov type test using the sample Fourier coefficients is suggested and its asymptotic distribution is derived. A simulation study shows that the proposed test is more powerful than the cusum type test when there is more than one change-point or there is a cyclic change.

In statistical diagnostics a large number of influence measures have been proposed for identifying outliers and influential observations. However it seems to be few accounts of the influence diagnostics on test statistics. We study influence analysis on the likelihood ratio test statistic whether the two sets of variables are uncorrelated with one another or not. The influence of observations is measured using the case-deletion approach, the influence function. We compared the proposed influence measures through two illustrative examples.

This paper introduces statistical test principles, statistical procedures and tests for exponential distribution. This paper also shows compliance test plans for success ratio and constant failure rate, and goodness-of-fit tests for Weibull distribution. Moreover, this paper presents procedures for comparision of two constant failure rates, and dependability of products containing reused parts.
