The statistical analysis module is developed for the part of the new standardized geotechnical database computer program. The purpose of this module is that the geotechnical engineers can optimize the underground construction process of the underdeveloped urban area rehabilitation by this module providing the statistical information for the geotechnical decision making and risk assessment. This module will be modified to offer the statistical information sustainable for the newly adapted geotechnical limit-state design methods.

Fatigue strength database system was developed for Windows 95 on personal computer. The relational database management system Visual Foxpro 5.0 was used. The database system developed contains 3,147 S-N curves and 311 $\varepsilon$-N ones for 437 material symbols and has the ability to search data by material symbol that each specification marks differently. Visual Basic 5.0 was used for graphic presentation and statistical treatment of the data searched.

This reserch was to develop database software in order to handle a lot of clinical nursing data with nursing diagnoses, related factors, defining characteristics, nursing interventions, nursing activities and nursing outcomes. MS Access2000 and SQL was selected to use a general purpose database logic with an efficiency. MS Visual Basic 6.0 was used to construct the circumstance of Graphic User Interface. The Linkage Database of abdominal surgery patients was constructed from the clinical data and questionnaire. This database system could add related factors, defining characteristics, nursing activities in the database and analyze the statistical results through Access query. In the final stage, end-users satisfaction analysis using 5 points Likert scale was dong with the response of using the database system. The accuracy/trustworthiness of the database system was verified with the highest average scores as 4.42 and also, the efficiency as 4.21, user friendly function as 4.1.

Strategic information systems planning (SISP) remains a critical issue of many organizations and also the top IS concern of chief executives. Therefore, researchers have investigated SISP practices and tried to improve a methodology. Among the various issues of SISP, systematically determining subject database groupings and fully automating the processes are important aspects. This study presents an alternate methodology using a statistical technique, a variable clustering approach, and systematic rules for determining database groupings, which can be fully automated. This methodology provides a strong theoritical justification as well as systematic and simple criteria for database groupings, enhanced interpretability of the output, and would be easy to include in CASE software application.

Ship owners are demanding quieter vessels since crews have become more sensitive to their acoustic environment. Accordingly, designers of shipyards need to respond intelligently to the challenging requirements of delivering a quiet vessel. In early design stage, to predict shipboard noise the statistical approach is preferred to other methods because of simplicity. However, since the noise characteristics of the ships vary continuously with the environments, it is necessary to update the prediction formula with data base management system. This paper describes the feature of database program with the prediction method. Database management programs with GUI, are applied to Intranet system that is accessible by any users. Statistical approach to the prediction of A-weighted noise level in ship cabins, based on multiple regression analysis, is conducted. The noise levels in ship cabins are mainly affected by the parameters of the deadweight, the type of ship, the relative location of engines and cabins, the type of deckhouse, etc. As a result of verification, the formulas ensure the accuracy of 3 ㏈ in 83 % of cabins.

In order to support the development of wind farms in Jejudo, a wind resource database for Jejudo has been established using a meteor-statistical analysis of KIER(Korea Institute of Energy Research) met-mast measurements and KMA(Korea Meteorological Administration) weather data. The analysis included wind statistics, tower shading, an exposure category classification using satellite images, the effect of atmospheric stability on the wind profile exponent, and a correlation matrix of wind speed to gain an understanding of the meteorological correlation between long-term weather observation stations and short-term met-mast measurements. The wind resource database for Jejudo, is to be provided as an add-on to Google $Earth^{TM}$, which is expected to be utilized as a guideline for the selection of an appropriate reference site for long-term correction in the next wind farm development project.

This paper reviews statistical methods for protecting privacy and measuring risk of disclosure when micro data or data analysis sever is released for public use.

The objective of this research is the development of the Automatic Subjective Assessment System (ASAS). The proposed subjective assessment system is designed to evaluate human emotion and sensibility (or "gamsung" in Korean terminology) with subjective responses of volunteers about the experiment of emotion and sensibility. Once volunteers enter their subjective responses about the experiment into the developed system, the proposed system can automatically generate statistical results of human emotion and sensibility using Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS). Then, the system stores the statistical results in the database which will be open to public through internet. The proposed system will be integrated into the universal" gamsung" assessment system for evaluation of human emotion and sensibility.

This study shows the statistical properties of the domestic composite material prepregs test result. During the last three years(2012.5~2015.6) the prepreg specimen tests have been performed by referring to NCAMP developed test procedure which was approved by FAA. The database of (1) Carbon Tape, (2) Glass Fabric, and (3) Carbon Fabric composite material prepregs' characteristics have been established for certified aircraft structures. This qualified materials can be used for aircraft structural design through proper material equivalency procedures.
