방향제어 조직밸브의 동특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on Dynamic Characteristics of Directional Control Logic Valve)

  • A cartridge type hydraulic logic valve consists of simple two port valve whose poppet is closed or opened by means of pressure signal of a pilot line. Accordingly, the logic valve can be used not only for direction, flow and pressure control purpose but also for versatile function valve which enables all above mentioned functions. In addition, the valve has little internal leakage and pressure loss, superior response characteristics and easiness in making small block type valve. The above mentioned good performances being recognized recently, the logic valve has been used widely in the large scale hydraulic system such as a hydraulic press system, for the performance requirements of high speed operation and precise control characteristics. However, there are scarce reports until now, except for a few ones from Aachen Institute of Technology in West Germany, so it is necessary to be studied on development and investigation for practical application. This paper showed that the static and dynamic characteristics of a logic valve when the logic valve is used for directional control, to investigate the relations between the valve operating characteristics and the valve design conditions. From the above mentioned procedure, it was ascertained that the valve operation characteristics obtained by numerical analysis showed good agreements with experimental results. The representative results obtained are as follows; 1. During the valve is closing, the poppet velocity is almost constant in the logic valve. 2. The pilot pressure P sub(3) and the resistance R in the pilot line have much influences on the valve operation time. 3. Spring strength have not such a severe influence on the valve operating time. 4. The operation characteristics of the logic valve can be estimated with good accuracy comparatively by numerical analysis with the equations describing poppet motion.

노치성형 발파공을 이용한 균열제어 발파방법의 균열발생 특성에 대한 수치해석적 고찰 (Numerical study on the charateristics of fracture growth in fracture controlled blasting using notched blasthole)

  • 균열면을 제어하는 발파방법의 하나로서 노치성형 발파공을 이용한 방법의 균열발생 특성을 2차원 및 3차원 유한요소 해석방법을 이용하여 고찰하였다. 균열제어를 위한 모델로는 노치가 성형된 발파공과 일반적인 원형 발파공을 대상으로 하였으며, 발파 압력에 대한 암반의 동적 반응, 탄성 및 소성 변형의 발생 특성, 그리고 이로 인한 발파 균열의 성장 전파 특성을 분석하여, 균열의 능동적 제어와 보다 효율적인 발파가 이루어 질 수 잇는 조건들을 규명하고자 하였다. 해석 결과 일반 발파공의 정하중 탄성 모델의 경우 공반경의 약 3배인 6cm 까지 집중된 응력의 크기가 파괴강도를 초과하는 것으로 나타났으며 탄소성 모델의 경우 균열이 전파거리는 공반경의 145배인 30cm 가지 확장되었다. 또한 폭 5mm 길이 30 mm 의 노치가 가공된 발파공의 경우 정하중하에서 공반경의 23배인 46cm 까지 균열이 진전되었으며, 균열의 방향은 노치 첨단의 방향으로 생성되는 것으로 나타났다.

위상최적설계와 형상최적설계를 이용한 크레인의 경량설계 (Lightweight Crane Design by Using Topology and Shape Optimization)

  • CAE 기반 구조최적설계법인 위상최적설계와 형상최적설계를 크레인의 경량화에 적용하였다. 붐은 단면 형상을 설계 변수로 변화시키면서 질량의 최소화를 최적설계의 목적함수로 하고 붐의 정적강도와 동적강성이 초기 모델의 성능에 비해서 저하되지 않아야 한다는 제한조건을 설정하였다. 구조해석 및 최적설계는 상용소프트웨어인 Hyperworks를 이용하여 수행하였으며 붐의 단면 형상의 변형에 따르는 요소망의 변동은 모핑 기능을 사용하여 수치 안정성을 확보하였다. 붐의 지지부는 초기 모델을 단순화시킨 설계 영역을 설정하고 이를 삼차원 솔리드 요소로 이산화한 후 위상최적설계를 수행하였다. 최적설계 결과 시스템의 전체 동적, 정적 강성을 저하시키지 않은 채로 붐은 19%, 지지부는 17% 경량화시킬 수 있었다.

  • Grunt (Stick-slip) noise happens between rear lining and drum on braking condition while vehicle is returning to steady position after nose-dive. The study presents a new testing and analysis methods for improving brake grunt noise on vehicle. Grunt noise is called a kind of stick slip noise with below 1kHz frequency that is caused by the surfaces alternating between sticking to each other and sliding over each other with a corresponding change in friction force. This noise is typically come from that the static friction coefficient of surfaces is much higher than the kinetic friction coefficient. For the identification of the excitation mechanism and improvement of grunt noise, it is necessary to study variable parameters of rear drum brake systems on vehicle and to implement CAE analysis with stick slip model of drum brake. The aim of this study has been to find solution parameters throughout test result on vehicle and dynamo test. As a result of this study, it is generated from stick slip between rear lining and rear drum and it can be solved to reduce contact angle of lining with asymmetric and is effected not only brake drum strength but also rear brake size and brake factor.

로터리 스웨이징 공정의 점진성형에 의한 중공 드라이브샤프트의 진동모드 및 내구특성 (Vibration Mode and Durability Characteristics of Automotive IDS using Rotary Swaging Process for Incremental Forming)

  • Rotary swaging is one of the incremental forming process which is a chipless process using the reduction of cross-sections of bars, tubes and wires. The TDS(Tube Drive Shaft) of monobloc used in automotive has been developed by the rotary swaging process. The mechanical characteristics of swaged parts such as the hardness, thickness and roughness are also estimated to conduct experimental analyses of rotary swaging process with the materials of 34Mn5 Furthermore the change in the vibration mode of TDS due to design parameters, which are the tube length, diameter and thickness, has been investigated and analysed. The weight of the TDS product is smaller by about $12.8\%$ than that of SDS with the same performance. It could be evidently found that the TDS is designed to be much lighter than SDS (Solid Drive Shaft). This advantage might give some possibility to improve the NVH (Noise-Vibration-Harshness) characteristics. A maximum torque and a total number of torsional repetitions for the TDS is checked and measured to know the torsional intensity and fatigue strength through the static torsion test and torsional durability test, respectively. A total number of the torsional repetitions up to the fracture for the TDS is greater than 250,000 times.

무량판 구조시스템 접합부의 기둥 형상비에 따른 내진 성능 평가 (Seismic Performane Evaluation of Flat Plate System Considering Column Aspect Ratio)

  • 본 논문은 기둥형상비를 실험 변수로 가지는 무량판 슬래브-기둥 접합부의 내진성능을 평가하는데 있다. 본 연구에서는 무량판 슬래브의 뚫림 전단파괴를 방지하기 위하여 본 연구와 병행하여 진행된 연구에서 개발된 연속 절곡된 전단보강근을 적용하였다. 기둥형상비에 따른 실험체는 각각 FIS1-05(0.5), FIS1- 10(1.0), FIS1-20(2.0) 이다. 실험체의 수평방향으로 정적 수평하중을 가력 하였으며, 중력하중비에 의한 일정 수직 하중을 적용하였다. 실험결과는 슬래브-기둥 접합부의 수평 변위 및 강도를 기준으로 평가하였다. 분석결과, FIS1-05, FIS1-20와 같은 장방형 기둥을 갖는 접합부의 성능이 FIS1-10와 같은 정방형 기둥을 갖는 접합부보다 우수한 것으로 평가되었다.

전자빔 용해 방법으로 제조된 정형외과 임플란트용 Ti-6Al-4V 합금의 재료 특성 분석 (Material Characteristics of Ti-6Al-4V Alloy Manufactured by Electron Beam Melting for Orthopedic Implants)

  • Electron beam melting (EBM) is one of powder based additive manufacturing technology used to produce parts for high geometrical complexity and directly with three-dimensional computer aided design (CAD) model. It is kind of the most promising methods with additive manufacturing for a wide range of medical applications, such as orthopedic, dental implant, and etc. This research has been investigated the microstructure and mechanical properties of as fabricated and hot iso-static pressing (HIP) processed specimens, which are made by an Arcam A1 EBM system. The Ti-6Al-4V titanium alloy powder was used as a material for the 3 dimensional printing specimens. Mechanical properties were conducted with EBM manufacturing and computer numerical control (CNC) machining specimens, respectively. Surface morphological analysis was conducted by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) for their surface, dissected plan, and fractured surface after tensile test. The mechanical properties were included tensile stress-strain and nano-indentation test as a analysis level between nano and macro. As following highlighted results, the stress-strain curves on elastic region were almost similar between as fabricated and HIP processed while the ductile (plastic deformed region) properties were higher with HIP than that of as fabricated processed.

  • Most structures of vehicle are composed of many substructures connected to one another by various types of mechanical joints. In vehicle engineering, it is important to study these jointed structures under random frequency vibration for the evaluations of fatigue life and stress concentration exactly. It is rarely obtained the accurate load history of specified positions in a jointed structure because of the errors such as modeling, measurement, and etc. In the beginning of design, exact load data are actually necessary for the fatigue strength and life analysis to minimize the cost and time of designing. In this paper, the hybrid method of practical dynamic load determination is developed by the combination of the principal stresses from F. E. Analysis and test of a jointed structure. Least square pseudo inverse matrix is adopted to obtain an inverse matrix of analyzed stresses matrix. The error minimization method utilizes the inaccurate measured error and the shifting error that the whole data is stiffed over real data. The least square criterion is adopted to avoid these errors. Finally, to verify the proposed system, a heavy-duty bus is analyzed. This measurement and prediction technology can be extended to the different jointed structures.

LS-DYNA 발파 모델링에서 현장암반의 특성을 반영하기 위한 Hoek-Brown 파괴기준과 Holmquist-Johnson-Cook 콘크리트 재료모델의 접목 (Integrating the Hoek-Brown Failure Criterion into the Holmquist-Johnson-Cook Concrete Material Model to Reflect the Characteristics of Field Rock Mass in LS-DYNA Blast Modeling)

  • 본 논문에서는 Hoek-Brown (HB) 파괴기준을 Holmquist-Johnson-Cook (HJC) 콘크리트 재료모델에 접목시킴으로써 LS-DYNA 상에서 암반발파를 모델링할 때 현장암반의 고유한 특성이 잘 반영될 수 있도록 도모하였다. 이것은 많은 지질학적 불연속면을 포함하고 있는 현장암반이 지니고 있는 독특한 특징을 강조하기 위함이다. 두 모델의 접목은 HB 파괴기준으로 HJC 재료모델의 정적 강도 부분을 교체함으로써 이루어지며, 교체과정은 통계학적 곡선적합 기법에 의해 수행된다. 본 논문에서는 접목의 과정이 상세하게 소개되며, 획득된 HJC 재료모델의 사용에 대한 실례도 제시된다. 제시된 수치계산은 현장의 석회암 암반의 단일공 발파에 대한 평면변형률 모델링으로서 LS-DYNA가 제공하는 유체-구조물 상호작용(FSI) 기법과 다중재료 라그랑주-오일러(MMALE) 정식화 기법을 조합하여 수행된다.

엔진 마운트 브라켓용 다이캐스팅 Al-Si-Cu 합금의 미세조직과 기계적 특성 (Microstructural and Mechanical Characteristics of Al-Si-Cu Die Casting Alloy for Engine Mount Bracket)

  • Microstructural and mechanical characteristics of Al-6Si-2Cu alloy for engine mount bracket prepared by gravity casting (as-cast) and die-casting (as-diecast) process have been investigated. For the microstructural characterization, the inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS), optical microscope (OM), scanning electron microscope (SEM) and electron probe microanalysis (EPMA) analyses are conducted. For the intermetallic phases, the X-ray diffraction (XRD) and energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS) are also conducted with quantitative and qualitative analysis. Micro Vickers hardness and static tensile test are achieved in order to measure mechanical properties of alloys. Secondary dendrite arm spacing (SDAS) of as-cast and as-diecast show 37um and 18um, respectively. A large amount of coarsen eutectic Si, $Al_2Cu$ intermetallic phase and Fe-rich phases are identified in the Al-6Si-2Cu alloy. Mechanical properties of gravity casting alloy are much higher than those of die-casting alloy. Especially, yield strength and elongation of gravity casting alloy show 2 times higher than die-casting alloy. After shot peening, shot peening refined the surface grains and Si particles of the alloys by plastic deformation. The surface hardness value shows that shot peening alloy has higher value than unpeening alloy.
