1.Power utilities and CRIEPI are very active in almost all aspects of power systems research. 2.About 50% of research activity of CRIEPI is made under the joint work with power utilities. 3.Research motivation of manufactures are mainly stimulated by the need of power utilities and manufacturers are closely collaborating with power utilities. 4.Main effort of universities is concentrated upon the theoretical aspects of network analysis and the means of stability improvement. Univer sities are doing research rather independently of industry unless inexceptional cases. 5.Universities are making a significant contribution to the exploration of new horizon of power systems engineering, namely, in the research on the social impact on the future of power system. 6.Current main interest of power systems reserch is centered around the stability problem and power system operation and control. Research activity in power system planning is rather low as compared to that in these two major fields. A similar statement holds for the analysis of electromagnetic transients and short circuit analysis. However a new research field is sprouting in the area of power system protection.

Base on the survey and financial statement on fish-paste processing company, this study aimed to estimate management efficiencies of fish-paste processing management using a data envelopment-analysis (DEA), In-depth interview and to find out their determinants. Model results show that the estimated mean management efficiencies obtained for the VRS and CRS DEA are 83.7% and 89.1%. In-depth interview results also show that efficiencies caused by scale of technical matter was greater than efficiencies caused by the scale of the company. Thus it implies that technical development is essential for achieving high-efficiency of fish-paste processing company more than expanding the size of company.

As the stock market is affected by various circumstances including economic and political variables, predicting the stock market is considered a still open problem. When combined with corporate financial statement data analysis, which is used as fundamental analysis, and technical analysis with a short data generation cycle, there is a problem that the time domain does not match. Our proposed method, LSTE the operating profit and market outlook of a petrochemical company and estimates the sales and operating profit of the company, it was possible to solve the above-mentioned problems and improve the accuracy of stock price prediction. Extensive experiments on real-world stock data show that our method outperforms the 8.58% relative improvements on average w.r.t. accuracy.

The purpose of this study was to develop HS-VOSTS(High School Students' Views On Science-Technology-Society), which is an instrument that monitors high school students' views on STS. For this study, 23 multiple-choice items were developed on four categories. First, a categorial scheme was constructed. The categorial scheme was based on many instruments that evaluate students' understanding on STS, literature review, and STS learning goal that many researchers had asserted. Second, the multiple-choice items were developed. The development of the items was carried out through four steps. In the first step, some pairs of statement on each subordinate category were formed. Next, the student statement questionaries which were based on the pairs of statement were responded by 772 students. In the second step, the response written by the students were analyzed to common viewpoints and the first multiple-choice items were constructed. In the third step, the semistructured interview with 28 high school students was implemented and the second multiple-choice items were constructed. In the fourth step, the final version of the instrument was developed through the analysis of the students' response on the second multiple-choice items. HS-VOSTS is an useful instrument for monitoring students' beliefs and viewpoints on STS topics. The results of the students' responses to HS-VOSTS items reflect the students' own thoughts directly. These results will give some implications for the curriculum developers, the authors of text books and the educational policy makers as well as the teachers.

The Serial murder is a serious social phenomenon that gives a shock to community and society, because of it's habituate and scheme. We could identify a happening of serial killing crime at Western society, especially in U. S, but hardly to find many cases in Korea except some of cases. We can easily prospect the happening of serial killing crime at Korea in the future, at least it exists that home and social disorganization cause by divorcing and hasty economic development. There will be a reserve criminal who have distorted personality effected by undesirable surrounding, therefore he may become a serial murder. This study examines criminal psychological analysis of On Bo Hwan's serial murder case in 1994 at Korea, according to criminal records and press report and his statement and confession. This paper also show his domestic background and growing atmosphere and human relation between his parents.

Public participation in Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) process has been implemented since the introduction of EIA project on August 1 1991, followed with Environmental Policy Act promulgation on August 1 1990. Though public participation has room for improvement. This study compared before and after the introduction of public participation on EIS preparation cost, project cost, EIS preparation term and project term through 293 EISs analysis. Also public opinions in EIS after introduction of public participation were analyzed. The results are expected to be contributed to the system improvement of public participation.

Looseleaf publications are truly a unique type of library material, partaking simultaneously of the nature of serials and monographs. Therefors, two disparate methods of cataloging looseleaf publications coexist today. But the decision to catalog looseleaf publications as serials as monographs affects the acquisition, budget allocation, receipt, record maintenance, and user access. In view of these aspects, this study analyzed the sources of information and seven areas of description (title and statement of responsibility ; edition ; publication, distribution, etc. ; physical description; series ; note ; standard number and terms of availability) of CRDLP2 as the exclusive cataloging rules of looseleaf publications. The results of the analysis were summarized in chapter 4 in detail. Finally, it is desirable that looseleaf publications for updationg are cataloged as monographs since the bibliographic description applied to looseleaf publications follows so colosely that of monographs. And, the cataloger must pay partioular attention to describe the physical description area because of numerous changes of the bibliographic records accompanied by frequent revisions or updates of the publications.

Several isotropic compression-expansion tests and a series of drained conventional traxial tests with various confining pressures for relative density of Beakma river sand 25%, 50%, 80% and 100% selecting Lade's Single Work-Hardening constitutive model. This examination materials use regression analysis as a basis, depending on the relative density of soil parameters change statement attributes. Yield fuction represent the soil parameters h and $\alpha$ is not affected by the changes in the relative density. $\eta_1$ could be replaced by fomula. And Numerical analysis results predicted very good and could confirm that.

Using the fiberization technique of a shift-invariant space and the matrix characterization of the decomposition of a shift-invariant space of finite length into an orthogonal sum of singly generated shift-invariant spaces, we show that the main result in [13] can be interpreted as a statement about the length of a shift-invariant space, and give a more natural construction of multiwavelet frames from a frame multiresolution analysis of $L^2(\mathbb{R}^d)$.

In this paper, we will to check and to correct mis-recognized word using Eojeol information. First, we divided into 16 classes that constituents in a Eojeol after we analyzed Korean statement into Eojeol units. Eojeol-Constituent state diagram constructed these constitutents, find the Left-Right Connectivity Information. As analogized the speech of connectivity information, reduced the number of cadidate words and restricted case of morphological analysis for mis-recognition Eojeol. Then, we improved correction speed uisng heuristic information as the adjacency information for Eojeol each other. In the correction phase, construct Reverse-Order Word Dictionary. Using this, we can trace word dictionary regardless of mis-recongnition word position. Its results show that improvement of recognition rate from 97.03% to 98.02% and check rate, reduction of chadidata words and morpholgical analysis cases.
