According to the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (Article 94), the flag state must fulfill its overall role to ensure maritime safety and operate the ship inspection system as a related measure. The Korean government (Ministry of Ocean and Fisheries) has implemented policies for reducing marine accidents to promote maritime safety; however, the target goal has not been achieved. The ship inspection system is a measure to prevent marine accidents, and for the effective operation of the system, a sufficient understanding of the origin of the ship inspection system is required. In this study, the trend of the international ship inspection system was identified by analyzing ship inspection system origins and the history of the system's paradigm shift. The recent international ship inspection system paradigm confirms international standardization and the active safety management of ship companies are becoming increasingly prominent. Based on this, the introduction of the 'PDCA cycle-based self-inspection system' is presented to the current domestic ship inspection system. This is a new type of inspection system that establishes the roles of interested parties based on the basic philosophy of the ISO 9000 series to improve the ef ectiveness of maritime safety. Additionally, the necessity for a non-face-to-face ship inspection system has emerged because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Hence, the transition to a 'mobile application-based ship inspection system' is proposed to accommodate the rapid development of information communications technology.

Non-Contact society has arrived due to social distinctions by COVID 19 pandemic. The arrival of the era of non-contact is having a profound impact on educational activities as well as on our social and economic lives. In response to the pandemic situation universities and all other educational institutions have implemented non-contact online classes. In particular arts physical educations and other practical classes are experiencing many difficulties due to the limited environment caused by social distancing from COVID 19 pandemic. Vocal classes are undergoing a transition mainly from 1:1 individual face-to-face lessons or group teaching methods to the non-contact era of online teaching or lesson methods. It is necessary to look at the direction of non-face-to-face practical classes in preparation for accelerated educational innovation. Edu-tech, which innovates technology in the wake of the age of non-contact after COVID 19 pandemic is expected to begin in earnest at school sites in Korea which have remained in the traditional way of education. The purpose of this study is to effectively non-contact vocal instructional methods by cogitating the current state of higher practical education and vocal classes in Korea. In addition, This study conducted two components of satisfied instructions such as 'Priorlearning of monitoring of recorded singing', and 'Immediate analyzing of various vocal contents and supplementary lessons of music theory' with a research on the peos and cons of non-face-to-face vocal class. Over a period of time, The effective non-contact of vocal instructional methods is in need to supplement non-face-to-face vocal class problems and further research and system construction with non-face-to-face vocal class's pros and cons to construct high-quality lecture contents is warranted.

Midlife is a critical time when people look back on their life and evaluate it from current state. In middle age, there is a satisfaction with achievement and a sense of crisis between reality and expectation. Research on pastoral counseling in the middle age to minimize problems and conflicts that occur in the transition period of crisis or opportunity is meaningful. Based on biblical principles, pastoral counseling should be able to help the client's needs and development tasks to be reproduced into a meaningful life on the basic premise of a realistic meeting with God. Therefore, through a literature review, the developmental views of Jung, Ericsson, Levinson, and the pioneers of middle-aged research, were examined. From this realistic point of view, the integration of pastoral counseling and reality therapy is considered to be very useful by allowing the harmony of internal dialogue and behavior to start together through the feasible realistic behavior and responsibility of one's choice. Insights on oneself and specific counseling methods of realistic therapy will present a new type of counseling through integration with pastoral counseling. Therefore after examining the theoretical background and characteristics of reality therapy, we intend to help overcome the middle-aged crisis through the meeting pastoral counseling and reality therapy.
Matrix theory is widely used not only in mathematics, natural sciences, and engineering, but also in social sciences and artificial intelligence. In the 2009 revised mathematics curriculum, matrices were removed from high school math education to reduce the burden on students, but in anticipation of the age of artificial intelligence, they will be reintegrated into the 2022 revised education curriculum. Therefore, there is a need to analyze the matrix content covered in other countries to suggest a meaningful direction for matrix education and to derive implications for textbook composition. In this study, we analyzed the German mathematics curriculum and standard education curriculum, as well as the matrix units in the German Hesse state mathematics curriculum and textbook, and identified the characteristics of their content elements and development methods. As a result of our analysis, it was found that the German textbooks cover matrices in three categories: matrices for solving linear equations, matrices for explaining linear transformations, and matrices for explaining transition processes. It was also found that the emphasis was on mathematical reasoning and modeling when learning matrices. Based on these findings, we suggest that if matrices are to be reintegrated into school mathematics, the curriculum should focus on deep conceptual understanding, mathematical reasoning, and mathematical modeling in textbook composition.
Fingerprint classification is a step to increase the efficiency of an 1:N fingerprint recognition system and plays a role to reduce the matching time of fingerprint and to increase accuracy of recognition. It is difficult to classify fingerprints, because the ridge pattern of each fingerprint class has an overlapping characteristic with more than one class, fingerprint images may include a lot of noise and an input condition is an exceptional case. In this paper, we propose a novel approach to design a stochastic model and to accomplish fingerprint classification using a directional characteristic of fingerprints for an effective classification of various qualities. We compute the directional value by searching a fingerprint ridge pixel by pixel and extract a directional characteristic by merging a computed directional value by fixed pixels unit. The modified Markov model of each fingerprint class is generated using Markov model which is a stochastic information extraction and a recognition method by extracted directional characteristic. The weight list of classification model of each class is decided by analyzing the state transition matrixes of the generated Markov model of each class and the optimized value which improves the performance of fingerprint classification using GA (Genetic Algorithm) is estimated. The performance of the optimized classification model by GA is superior to the model before the optimization by the experiment result of applying the fingerprint database of various qualities to the optimized model by GA. And the proposed method effectively achieved fingerprint classification to exceptional input conditions because this approach is independent of the existence and nonexistence of singular points by the result of analyzing the fingerprint database which is used to the experiments.
A stochastic way using continuous time Markov process is presented to model the one-dimensional nuclide transport in fractured rock matrix as an extended study for previous work [1]. A nuclide migration model by the continuous time Markov process for single planar fractured rock matrix, which is considered as a transient system where a process by which the nuclide is diffused into the rock matrix from the fracture may be no more time homogeneous, is compared with a conventional deterministic analytical solution. The primary desired quantities from a stochastic model are the expected values and variance of the state variables as a function of time. The time-dependent probability distributions of nuclides are presented for each discretized compartment of the medium given intensities of transition. Since this model is discrete in medium space, parameters which affect nuclide transport could be easily incorporated for such heterogeneous media as the fractured rock matrix and the layered porous media. Even though the model developed in this study was shown to be sensitive to the number of discretized compartment showing numerical dispersion as the number of compartments are decreased, with small compensating of dispersion coefficient, the model agrees well to analytical solution.

In most design codes, soils are classified as either sand or clay, and appropriate design equations are used to represent their behavior. For example, the behavior of sandy soils is expressed in terms of the relative density, whereas consistency limits are often used for clays. However, sand-clay mixtures, which are typically referred to as intermediate soils, cannot be easily categorized as either sand or clay and therefore a unified interpretation of how the soil will behave at the transition point, i.e., from sandy behavior when fines are low to clay behavior for high fines content, is necessary. In this study, active natural clays are mixed with sand, and the fines content varied in order to produce different structures, ranging from one state where only sand particles form the soil structure to another where the matrix of fines make-up the structure. While paying attention to the granular void ratio in order to clarify the shear properties of sand-clay mixtures with increasing fines content monotonic, shear tests were performed on isotropically, and anisotropically consolidated specimens. From the test results, it was observed that the monotonic shear strength of sand-clay mixtures is dependent on the granular void ratio.
The Life-Course perspective is a theoretical orientation that views the life-course as the age structure embedded in social institutions and history and understands the life-course of individual and group in the contextual perspective. The life-course perspective studies were developed in Germany and North America. They study social and historical effects and the effect of institutions and the state on the life-course, the pathway of the work career and differences of labour outcomes, and the inequality that is developed in the life-course. In Korea, the life-course perspective studies were tried in various fields and cumulated. However, it didn't established as a theoretical orientation. For applying the life-course perspective to connect the individual life-course with social and historical event, I describe the historical location of individuals born between 1930 and 1979 and analyse the change of their transitions to adulthood exploratorily. On results, the extension of education made the structural change of their life-course, and in young cohort the timing of leaving school, entering workforce, marriage and childbirth was delayed and transitions were made in narrower spread. It means the standardization of the life-course as appears in modern society. The 1970s birth cohort has the differenciated life-course pattern, however I cannot verify that change because of the right censoring.
When people discuss the continental cultural elements in the ancient East Asian culture, people always attach great importance to the two major cultures of Confucianism and Taoism, but offer little explanation to the significant influence of the theory of yin and yang, the important philosophical base of the two major cultures. The theory of yin and yang, existing as the theoretical source at a profounder level, possesses philosophical connotations that are always embedded into the mainstream of thought, religions and customs, displaying its unique glamour in its unique way. Its influence is more than that, however. It has exerted far-reaching influence on and is of significant importance to the development of the ancient culture of East Asia. This article aims at exploring this field of study. After the erudite scholar of The Five Classics made a voyage to the east in the early sixth century, The Book of Changes, the most important Chinese ancient classic expounding the theory of yin and yang, started to circulate among the Japanese court, via Baiji in the Korea Peninsula. As a result, the theory of yin and yang found its way to Japan. Examining the spreading channels, we learn that the theory's dissemination was largely related to the activities of Buddhist monks. Shoutoku Prince, regent of Japan at the time, was himself an enthusiastic supporter of Buddhism and was excelled in the study of The Book of Changes and the theory of yin and yang. In the Twelve Ranks System and Seventeen-article Constitution promulgated by Shoutoku Prince, the influence of the theory of yin and yang and of the theory of the five elements can be visibly discerned. This obviously proves the sublime status of the Chinese theory of yin and yang in Japan, thanks to the victory of the political clique that adored Buddhism. In the shaping course of ancient Japanese culture, the theory of yin and yang served as an important philosophical source of its development. Mythology based on Kojiki and Nihon Shoki, two earliest Japanese books that exist today, record mythological stories about the emergence of the Japanese nation. The notion about the birth of heaven and earth and the forming of Japanese Shinto, expressed in the mythological stories, not only tell us the source and historical progress of the Japanese nation but also the nation's world outlook in the transition from barbarian period to civilized period, as well as the basis for its philosophical thinking. All these were marked with profound influence of the Chinese theory of yin and yang. The theory of yin and yang, as one of the ancient Chinese academic thoughts, was accepted asa political belief when it first spread to Japan. The emergence and establishment of both the Mikado system and the centralized regime in ancient Japan drew largely on the theory of yin and yang and adopted it as an important philosophical basis to deify and aggrandize the "imperial power" so as to protect the authority of the imperial ruling and consolidate the established regime. Following the continuous strengthening and expansion of the centralized state power, the theory of yin and yang was further employed, and gradually "hidden" in Japanese culture with the passage of time, finally becoming the edge tool of ancient Japanese Mikados in exercising political power and controlling the country.

As demanding the detection of explosive molecules, it is required to develop rapidly and precisely responsive sensors with ultra-high sensitivity. Since two-dimensional semiconductors have an atomically thin body nature where mobile carriers accumulate, the abrupt modulation carrier in the thin body channel can be expected. To investigate the effectiveness of WSe2 semiconductor materials as a detection material for TNT (Trinitrotoluene) explosives, WSe2 was synthesized using thermal chemical vapor deposition, and afterward, WSe2 FETs (Field Effect Transistors) were fabricated using standard photo-lithograph processes. Raman Spectrum and FT-IR (Fourier-transform infrared) spectroscopy reveal that the adsorption of TNT molecules induces the structural transition of WSe2 crystalline. The electrical properties before and after adsorption of TNT molecules on the WSe2 surface were compared; as -50 V was applied as the back gate bias, 0.02 μA was recorded in the bare state, and the drain current increased to 0.41 μA with a dropping 0.6% (w/v) TNT while maintaining the p-type behavior. Afterward, the electrical characteristics were additionally evaluated by comparing the carrier mobility, hysteresis, and on/off ratio. Consequently, the present report provides the milestone for developing ultra-sensitive sensors with rapid response and high precision.
