Rectangular type hybrid step motor is designed to generate thirty percents higher torque than existing step motors. The torque for the motor is generated by the electromagnetic force at the air gap between the stator and rotor. The generating torque is proportioned to the rotor volume, i. e. rotor diameter. The main idea in this study is that the diameter of rotor is increased to generate more torque for the same overall motor size. This motors are manufactured by varying the shape of the teeth width of the stator and rotor. The optimum shape of the teeth is selected from the standpoint as smaller step angular accuracy.

Until now, product mostly has revealed physical quantities created by the standpoint of engineers. Consumers, however, perceive and evaluate products on the non-physical characteristics, such as feelings, emotions, and experiences in different social and cultural situations. Especially, for the household appliances fur instance air-conditioner or refrigerator, the sound is heavily related to the satisfaction of a customer who is a real user of the product and is very important factor to decide purchasing as well as visual design. Therefore, in this research, the general tendency of consumer's psychology was investigated for the appliances. And also, in order to obtain clear guidelines for sound manipulation, the characteristics of the sound of air-conditioning systems and refrigerators were compared with others. Since it is important to overcome the discrepancy between engineering and marketing, the relevance of sound manipulation must be documented from the consumer's perspective. That is the reason why we conducted a consumer and marketing oriented study.

Purpose: The study examines how emotional leadership affects employee attitude towards work engagement. Leader legitimacy perception is chosen as the mediating variable to understand the effect of emotional leadership on employee work engagement. Research design, data and methodology: The research model is based on theory and empirical research findings in order to examine the mediating effect of leader legitimacy perception on the relationship between the manager's emotional leadership and employee work engagement. For this purpose, a survey was conducted among 188 employees of domestic retail distributors. Confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) and survey data confirmed the construct, and the hypothesis was tested by using structural equation modeling (SEM). Results: a) Emotional leadership has positive influence on leader legitimacy; b) Leader legitimacy is positively related to work engagement; c) Leader legitimacy mediates a positive relationship between emotional leadership and work engagement. However, there is no direct effect on work engagement (of employees) from emotional leadership standpoint. Conclusion: Based on the empirical results, implications and future research directions are discussed.

In this paper, a comparative study is presented to evaluate the addition architecture of the high-speed checksum module in TCP/IP processing. In order to speed up TCP/IP processing, H/W implementation offers concurrent and parallel processing to yield high speed computation, with respect to S/W implementation. This research aims at comparing two addition architectures of checksum module, which is the major botteleneck in TCP/IP processing. The 16-bit and 8-bit byte-by-byte addition architecture are implemented by the full custom design, and compared, in analytical and experimental manner, from standpoint of space and performance. For LG $0.6\mu\textrm{m}$ TLM process, the 8-bit addition implementation requires the area, 1.3 times larger than the 16-bit one, and it operates at 80MHz while the 16-bit one runs by 66MHz.

When it comes to the architecture design, Kuma Kengo rejects a strong and violent subject-centered position and advocates the design that is object-oriented. As can be seen in 'gentle architecture', 'three lows principle', 'natural architecture', and 'connecting architecture', he clearly expresses the objective nature of architecture design in those terms. In this respect, the purpose of this study is to make a close inquiry into the meaning, effect and characteristics of objectivity. In particular, we try to identify the contents of 'impure architecture', which has a clear ambivalence to be an instrumental expression strongly settled in the objectivity, in an aesthetic standpoint. To do that, we systemized the concept of mimesis and the theory of subversive appropriation by Walter Benjamin and Theodor Adorno in to a frame of interpretation. By systemizing translation, subversion, verbalization and the dialectic structure of the aesthetics of negation, we interpreted the features of his works as an objective work and 'impure architecture'. His objectivity leads the situation by subversively appropriating the inherent elements of architectural conditions based on a dialectic solution in which inquiries on logical and scientific materials have played a critical role. Above all, through all these processes, he tried to suggest a language as a new technique for materials and structures. Ultimately, we could find out that this object oriented design sublates a subject oriented way that is monolithic and repetitive regardless of objects. Rather, it is a way that is effective in creating a new way of design by making a different approach to a new object rather unfamiliarly, yet deeply.

Design has become a buzzword in the marketing community these days and has been considered as an important success factor for business. Unfortunately, however, little research to date has been conducted on consumer responses to brand logo designs, which visualize brand identities. This article reports the findings from an experimental study which examined consumer evaluations of logo designs through conjoint analysis. The study explored potential factors which would give rise to the differences of consumer preferences. The results indicate that in the case of cognitive brand concepts, search goods show high elaborateness and low symmetry, experience goods show high associativeness, and credence goods show low elaborateness and high symmetry in the logo design characteristics. Affective brand concepts reveal different results in the logo design characteristics: search goods indicate high elaborateness and low associativeness, experience goods show low naturalness, and credence goods show low elaborateness and high associativeness. Implications of the results are discussed from a theoretical and practical standpoint.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the architectural space of modern and contemporary architecture which has been changed by the aesthetic cognition on space. The intention of considering architectural space aesthetically is to convert the viewpoint of seeing space as simple physical structure into different viewpoint of regarding 'space' as 'cultural place' However this does not means to apply aesthetic theory to architectural space. The aesthetic cognition on space is one of the main subjects of the expression of art from ancient to today however the appearance of space concept as architectural aesthetics accelerated by G. Semper theory after the latter half of 19th century. On the standpoint of perpetuity in architecture the aesthetics of scientific rationalism in modernism based on the reasonable thinking regards the variety of inherent characteristic in architectural space as 'Transferential Space'. On the other hand, in regarding to architectural trend, the nature in architectural space has been considered as 'Existential Space' starting from the conscious construction of environments to help human existence in the existentialism. The Conclusion logic of follows as belows; first, the concept of space structure in architecture has been exchanged from Enclosed Space to Topological Space. Second, the concept of architectural space has been changed and developed to the Deterministic, Profound, Dissipative, and Recognizable Space according to the change of expression in architecture.

Since environmental pollution emerges as an important issue, integration of academic discipline has been accomplished for development of environmental ethics. Combination of Buddhism and Ecology is the instance of this background. The background of this research is the assumption that from Seon Ecology standpoint, Buddhist temple would define conception of Seon Ecology specifically. The study based on advanced study about Seon Ecology, the peculiarity of Seon Ecology was dependent originations, order, the nature of Buddha, moderation, and impersonated nature. In addition, this study researched how these peculiarity has relation with traditional temples. This attempt has a significance in that finding a new approach of interpreting traditional temple and possibility of Seon Ecology Seon Ecology space formative concepts of traditional temple is cyclical allness, transitory balance, Denial of perfection and natural void characteristics from Seon Ecological studies. This study examined how characteristic of Seon Ecology is reflected in traditional temple, through analyzing Buseoksa-Anyangru, Bongjeongsa-Yeonsanam, Seonamsa simgeomdang, Songgwangsa woohwagak, Hwaamsa woohwaru which have remarkable characteristic of selection using above space formative concepts. traditional temple was filled with life coexisted with dynamics, independence, and equality within interrelationship between nature and architecture.

This paper covers improvement of the humanoid robot platform HUBO2, known as the HUBO2+. As a necessity of the growth of the humanoid platform, a robust, reliable and user friendly platform is needed. From this standpoint, HUBO2+ is the most improved humanoid robot platform in the HUBO series. The mechanical design has been changed to increase the movable range and to stop joint compulsion. Additionally, all of the electrical parts are re-designed to be un-breakable in an unexpected situation. A smart power controller with robot status check panel is attached on the back. Additionally, a diagnosis tool, the HUBO-i, has been developed. Moreover, each joint motor controller of HUBO2+ has a Protection Function and a PODO system is provided for handling the robot easily.

There is so much difference in the way we perceive nature whether from eastern or western, present or past standpoint. however, awareness of coexistence between human beings and nature along with the concept that the most natural is th e most beautiful remain unchanged. The desire to describe the beauty of nature have existed all through the ages, but the (new) naturalism movement was spawned in our time when so much devastation and side effects took place for the expediency of nature, and field of display has been trying new interpretation of nature with direct or applied method. Naturalism trend is studied using the categories such as relationship between human and nature, space concept in western and eastern society, and the definition of view of nature in modern time. Elements of naturalism display are classified into the element of physical properties and element beyond the physical properties, and then methodology on naturalism display is investigated, using the illustration of display examples, in order to know the most essential elements of display, which are the physical properties such as space, light, object, glass, are expressed based on the elemental concept like nature, an accident, dynamic state, variability. As mentioned above, Naturalism display consists of physical properties and phenomenon. How to ive strong impression to a spectator depends on the ability to create effective space applying these elements. The significance of this study comes to surface in a time when the tremendous emphasis is put on the importance of nature and concerns about the role of display has become even greater.
