Study on Measurement and Numerical Analysis for Fluid Flow past a Circular Cylinder in Rectangular Duct (사각던트 내에서 원형 실린더를 지나는 유체유동의 측정 및 수치해석에 관한 연구)

  • Flow characteristics of turbulent steady fluid flow past a cylinder in rectangular duct are measured by 5 W laser doppler velocity meter. The fluid flow is also computed by commercial software of STAR-CD for comparison between the measurement and computation. The turbulent models applied in the computations are standard K-epsilon model, RNG K-epsilon model and Chen K-epsilon model. Acurracy of standard K-epsilon model is a little bit better than acurracies of other models even though those models have almost the same order of error compared to measured data. The computations predict satisfactorily the measured velocity profiles at middle section of the circular cylinder before the fluid flow diverges. However, there are some disagreements between them at down stream from the circular cylinder.

  • The frame of pipe greenhouses in Korea have been collapsed increasingly due to very weak in structure caused by the heavy snow and strong wind. In order to reduce the collapse of green houses, it is urgent to develop the new structural system in stress tolerant greenhouses. Therefore, this paper performed the structural analysis of greenhouse frame in accordance with snow loads and wind loads. Three type models in structural frame configuration of greenhouses, that is, existing type, diagrid type, and honeycomb type are selected. It was classfied the section shape of structural frames in greenhouses into arch style, standard style, and diagonal standard style. As a result of this paper, it was verified that the structural system of diagrid type is better than that of existing type against snow loads and wind loads in the frame of greenhouses.

  • This research is based on the altitude temperature, pressure and humidity, as defined by MIL-HDBK-310 standard and modifies this conditions to conform to the new standard MIL-STD-810F and test procedure given in AIAA-2466 from this fundamental guideline optimal design and sizing of test section, inlet, exhauster duct, temperature and humidity control was performed.

  • In this paper, research on the manufacturing technology of hexagonal structure core is investigated. Also the optimal forming process of the honeycomb core is developed and the rolling process is analyzed using finite element code, $DEFORM^{TM}$-3D. The standard honeycomb has a uniform hexagonal structure defined by the material, cell size, cell wall thickness and bulk density. Honeycomb core products can be made from any thin, flat material. The most common cell configuration is the hexagon but there are many other shapes for special applications. Because of the precision shape and the thin thickness, the honeycomb core is not easy to manufacture in the metal forming process. Through this study it was confirmed that after the rolling process, the section of honeycomb close to the standard shape can be obtained. This result is reflected to the manufacturing process design for the honeycomb core.

  • Turbulent flow and heat transfer in the 180.deg. bend with square cross section were analizied numerically by using k-.epsilon. 2 eqatiuon model with applications of QUICK scheme and PSL method. Results with PSL method show the more agreements with experimental data than those with wall function. However these results also show that it is very difficult to predict the 3-dimensional turbulent flow with strong secondary flow accuratly by standard k-.epsilon. equation model, and therefore it is necessary to introduce the higher order turbulent model or to correct the standard k-.epsilon. model for the more accurate predictions of these types of flow.

  • For a immunohistochemical diagnosis of the frozen and paraffin-embedded tissues against rabies virus, mice were intracerebrally inoculated with challege virus standard(CVS) rabies virus and then were used to detect the rabies viral antigen by the immunoperoxidase(IP) and the avidin-biotin complex(ABC) method. In this study, the results confirmed that ABC and IP methods, although the former showed more specific and sensitive than the latter, were reliable and effective for the demonstration of rabies virus in both frozen and paraffin-embedded brain tissues prepared from rabies-infected mice. Additionally, IP technique using the monoclonal antibody against rabies virus could be recommended as a standard diagnostic tool instead of the present immunofluorescent method for the local veterinary services in Korea.

熔接 規格의 適用

  • 오늘날 용접은 조선공업이나 항공, 교량등 대형플랜트에 이르기까지 없어서는 않될 중요한 작 업의 하나이다. 이러한 공정에서 표준(Standard)또는 규격(Specification)이 필요하게 되는데 우 리의 형편은 아직도 미국의 규격을 그대로 따르고 있는 실정이다. 외국에서는 벌써 오래전부터 규격을 정해 적용해 오고 있으며 규격은 세계적으로 인정받고 있다. 우리나라는 한국표준규 격(Korean Standard)에 용접의 극히 일부분인 용접기기, 용접봉, 용접시험방법등이 정해져 있으며 그외에는 선진국의 규격을 그대로 이용하고 있는 현실이다. 이것은 외국의 규격이 공인된 점도 있겠지만 국내에는 아직 용접시공에 대한 규격이 없으며, 현장의 기술자나 기능공은 표준이나 규격을 따르지 않고 경험에 의해 작업하는 것이 보통이다. 그러나 지금은 주문자들의 요구에 의해 외국의 규격을 따르지 않을 수 없게 되어 있다. 이러한 관점에서 세계적으로 많이 이용되는 미국기계학회(American Society of Mechanical Engineers)규격 section IX을 조명하여 용접규 격의 전반적인 이해를 돕고자 한다.

  • Rehabilitation medicine is an area which tries to help people who have physical inconvenience in everyday activities to live like healthy people as much as possible by training programs. As society gets more advanced and as the standard of living continuously rises, the need of the "Rehabilitation medicine" is also increasing. Also as we are entering into the aging society, especially geriatric rehabilitation medicine is getting more and more attention as a method to maintain the healthy lives of the elders. However, the standards related to medical care space for rehabilitation medicine is not thoroughly prepared. Although requirement for geriatric hospital is increasing, the standard of geriatric hospital is not following up to regulate them properly. Therefore, in this study, I will propose a 'suitable planning' needed in geriatric rehabilitation by analyzing the rehabilitation sections of 5 general hospitals and 1 geriatric hospital.

  • recently there have been many destructive seismic events in Kobe Japan in 1995 and in Northridge California USA in 1994. etc. The Korean Bridge Design Standard Specifications adopted the seismic design requirements in 1992. Comparing the earthquake magnitude in Korea with those in the west coast of the USA it may be said that the current seismic design requirements of the Korean Bridge Design Standard Specifications provides too conservation design results especially for transverse reinforcement details and amount in reinforced concrete columns. This fact usually makes construction problems in concrete casting due to transverse reinforcement congestion. And the effective stiffness Ieff depends on the axial load P(Ag{{{{ {f }_{ck } }}) and the longitudinal reinforcement ratio Ast/Ag and it is conservative to use the effective stiffness Ieff than the gross section moment Ig. Seismic design for transverse reinforcement content of concrete column is considered of extreme-fiber compression strain R-factor axial load and stiffness etc.

  • 전기부문 표준품셈은 전기공사의 예정가격 산정시 가격결정의 기초자료로 활용됨은 물론 적정공사비 반영을 통한 부실시공방지 및 전기공사의 질적 향상과 전기공사업계의 건전한 발전을 유도하고 나아가 국가산업발전에도 큰 영향을 미치는 중요한 기준이나 이러한 중요성에도 불구하고 그 제 개정 절차가 표준화 되어 있지 않는 바, 전기부문 표준품셈 제 개정절차, 표준품셈 실사시 여유율적용 필요성, 여유율 적용요소, 적용사례 등 국내외 관련 자료를 수집 검토하여 합리적인 적용기준(안)을 제시하고자 한다.
