A Study of Smokeproof in Underground Culvert (지하공동구의 연소방지설비에 관한 연구)

  • Due to frequent fire incidents in underground culverts, many live are lost and the function of city is paralyzed, and consequently they bring tremendous damages to fortunes and live of people. It brings my attention that there are many problems presented when the current standard of smoke prevention facility is applied to prevent fire. Among many methods to prevent smoke in underground culverts this study concentrates on water-mist method witch is not currently applied in Korea and introduces installation method.

  • It presented the specialty and efficient evaluation indicator and a method which corresponds in each quality classified with 4 fields - an use and the function, the environment and an equipment, the structure stability, an main finishing material from plan side against an existing school facility in order to suit in development of the standard indicator which has become fixed quantity and demand of evaluation method for an analysis of the object school facilities to rebuild. So it presented the method which is the fixed quantity evaluation from economic viewpoint as possible for evaluating the maintenance cost by the expenses involved and durable years increase in rebuilding of objective school facility.

Reducing Effect of Traffic Noise Soundproof Facilities (방음시설의 소음저감효과에 관한 연구)

  • In order to propose the design and installation information of vegetation belt, field investigation were carried out in the noise pollution control facilities of highway and the streets of a city for two years(1998~1999), and field tests were performed to analyze the noise attenuation effect of them. The noise pollution control facilities were generally classified into three types (noise barrier and vegetation belt type, mounding and vegetation belt type, vegetation belt type only). Most soundproof facilities were proved the noise reduction effects. But according to width, height, structure, auditory distance and planting forms of them, difference of noise reduction effects were investigated. The soundproof facility was suitable the mounding and vegetation belt type in the consideration of road environment, and the installation standard of vegetation was estimated that the width of vegetation was at least 20m and the length of that was 2 times in the distance from noise source.

A Study on the Characteristics of Electric Shock in Water due to the Leakage of Submerged Electric Facility (침수된 전기설비의 누전으로 인한 수중에서의 감전특성에 관한 연구)

  • A study on the characteristics of electric shock in fresh water due to the leakage of submerged electric facility is conducted by using a reduced scale model at a scale of 1:10 in laboratory. Electric potential as a function of distance from leakage source, type of the leakage source, magnitude of the source voltage, submerged depth and diameter of a copper rod electrode is measured. On the basis of safety standard, separation for guarantee of safety is determined by the measured potential. Also supposing that body resistance is 500[$\Omega$], the human reaction was estimated by calculating body current for some shock duration. Thus, in this paper, the hazard of the electric shock is assessed by introducing representative safety factors, body voltage and body current due to leakage source.

  • Dissolved silica is one of fatal components at a boiler facility Therefore, a dissolved silica measurement system should be equipped for managing efficiently the boiler facility. Most of silica measurement systems are composed of a sensor module of single-beam type structure, and silica density is measured with a infrared spectrometry using the Lambert-beer method. However, such a system occurs measuring error of large range and inconsistency of a light source, because of measuring a standard sample and a measuring sample alternatively. This paper introduces a method that the sensor module has a split-beam type structure and a tungsten lamp. The proposed system can measure silica density quickly and precisely more than those composing of a single-beam type structure, because of measuring and comparing with two samples at a same time. And examination results are shown to compare efficiencies of the system and existing commercial products, and for an ammonia influence.

  • Standard on the carbon dioxide extinguishing system was prepared by the committed of the national fire protection assocition(NFPA)in USA on 1980. And this code is also applied to the design of a marine fire extinguishing system The most important problem in design is the uniform discharge of $CO_2$ through each nozzle from the high pressure $CO_2$ storage facility. The purpose of this paper is to develop the computer software to design the marine fire protection piping system. By solving the continuity equation energy equation and Bernoulli's equation simulataneously the flowrate in branch pipelines and discharge nozzles can be calculated.

  • This study seeks to develop a map of the domestic small hydropower(SHP) resources to further improve SHP resources, developed through package tool which can accurately evaluate a wide range of SHP basin in a short period of time. GIS-based package tool for SHP resources analysis was calculated using 840 standard basin classified by drainage area and facility capacity, etc., and to assume a 40% annual load factor, expected annual electricity production was calculated. SHP resources potential for the development of SHP will be utilized as basic data.

Tabu search based optimum design of geometrically non-linear steel space frames

  • In this paper, two algorithms are presented for the optimum design of geometrically nonlinear steel space frames using tabu search. The first algorithm utilizes the features of short-term memory (tabu list) facility and aspiration criteria and the other has long-term memory (back-tracking) facility in addition to the aforementioned features. The design algorithms obtain minimum weight frames by selecting suitable sections from a standard set of steel sections such as American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC) wide-flange (W) shapes. Stress constraints of AISC Allowable stress design (ASD) specification, maximum drift (lateral displacement) and interstorey drift constraints were imposed on the frames. The algorithms were applied to the optimum design of three space frame structures. The designs obtained using the two algorithms were compared to each other. The comparisons showed that the second algorithm resulted in lighter frames.

  • 본 논문에서는 전력계통의 안정적인 운영과 전기품질을 확보하고 전력수급 기본 계획 수립 등 전력설비 투자 계획에 활용하기 위하여 최근 새롭게 개정된 전력설비 정지관리 기준(電力設備 停止管理 基準)에 따라 전력설비 정지종류를 분류해 본다. 또한 계획정지, 비계획정지로 구분했던 2006년도 발전설비의 정지일수와 정지량등을 알아보고, 계획정지, 비계획정지, 운영예비초과정지 등으로 세분화된 분류에 따른 2007년도의 정지율을 계산하여 본다.

  • To minimize construction of nuclear facility, it is required to reduce reinforcing bar amount and solve reinforcing bar concentration and for this, it is necessary to develop appication design technology and modular of high strength reinforcing bar. Hence, KHNP reduces excessive reinforcing bar amount which can cause possibility of poor construction of concrete through design standard development and modular of nuclear facility structure using high strength reinforcing bar to raise economics and has its purpose to maintain high-level safety and durability as they are. After reviewing the rebar drawing of the NPP structures and performing the mock-up test, the rebar modulation method in the various area of the NPP Structure has been established.
