음식물 쓰레기를 줄이기 위한 체계화 연구(II) -일부 한국음식의 1인 1회 적정 섭취량 평가- (The Systematic Study on Reduction of Food Waste Products(II) -Estimation of One Serving Size of Frequently Consumed Korean Dishes -)

  • The purpose of this study was to estimate the effect of serving sizes on dish wastes, nutrient intake, and diet satisfaction for reduction of dish waste products. The dish waste, energy and protein intake, and satisfaction scores before and after dining were compared in 44 subjects fed various serving sizes(100%, 90%, 80% of standard size) of 10 frequently consumed Korean dishes. The result are as follows: 1. Average age, height, and weight of 44 subjects were 30.5, 174.0cm, and 68.1kg in men and 26.2, 164.2cm, and 53.5kg in women, respectively. 2. There was a significant difference in the dish waste rate of 10 Korean dishes to serving sizes. The range of dish waste rates of 10 Korean dishes was 13.14-33.04%. 3. The average energy intake from 10 Korean dishes in which 100% of the standard serving size was served was lower than Korean RDA. Protein intakes from Sulungtang, Yukgaejang, Deunjang-ggigae, and Bibimpab with 100% servins size, Soondubi-ggigae 90% servins size, and Galbitang, Bulgogi-bakpan, Sangsungui-bakpan, Bakpan 80% of standard serving size were higher than Korean RDA. 4. The satisfaction score before dining on Sulungtang, Bulgogi-bakpan, Sangsungui-bakpan decreased with decreasing serving size. However, there was no significant difference in satisfaction score after dining to serving size. These findings indicate that dish waste rate and diet satisfaction of 10 these Korean dishes are fixed and energy intake is insufficient. Therefore, for reduction of food waste and reasonable serving size of dishes evaluated in this study, there should be more studies about Korean menu development with decreasing serving size and increasing energy density.

중소병원 임상간호사의 감염관리 지식과 표준주의 수행도 (Infection Control Knowledge and Standard Precaution Practice among Clinical Nurses in Small and Medium-sized Hospital)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 중소병원 간호사의 감염관리 지식, 표준주의 수행도를 파악하고 표준주의 수행도에 미치는 영향 요인을 규명하기 위함이다. 본 연구는 횡단적 서술적 조사연구 방법으로 7개 중소병원 간호사 258명을 대상으로 수행되었다. 감염관리 지식은 평균 7.25점, 표준주의 수행도는 평균 3.61점이었으며, 임상경력(r=.123, p=.047)과 직위(F=5.356, p=.005)에 따라 표준주의 수행도에 차이를 보였다. 감염관리 지식과 표준주의 수행도 간에는 통계적으로 유의한 양의 상관관계가 있었으며(r=.421, p<.001), 표준주의 수행도에 영향을 미치는 요인은 직위(β=-.187, p=.025)와 감염관리 지식(β=.408, p<.001)으로 나타났다. 중소병원 간호사의 의료관련감염 관리를 위한 표준주의 수행도를 증진시키기 위한 방안으로 일반간호사를 대상으로 감염관리에 대한 융복합 교육이 요구된다.

국내 홀스타인종 젖소의 선형형질의 점수제 분석 (Analysis for Linear Type Classification Scheme on Holstein Cows in Korea)

  • 교류와 경쟁력 향상을 위해서는 검정기준, 평가방법과 모델 등에 많은 보완이 필요하다. 따라서, 본 연구는 현재 국내의 50단계의 심사점수를 낙농선진국에서 채택하고 있는 9점제로의 변환을 통해 국제기준을 국내 현실에 맞게 적용하기 위해 실시했다. 분석에는 한국 종축개량협회(KAIA)의 젖소에 대한 혈통기록 및 2001에서 2006년도 사이에 실시된 체형 측정 기록 중 최종점수와 15개 체형형질에 대해 초산차의 기록을 갖는 32,487두의 암소집단의 선형심사기록 자료가 이용되었다. 9점제로 변경한 집단이 더욱 정규성을 띄는 분포 특성을 나타내었다. 상관분석결과에서도 모든 형질에서 50점제와 9점제 심사 점수간에 0.98 이상의 상관계수를 나타내었다. 따라서, 50 점제에서 9점제로의 변경이 가능할 것으로 판단된다. 하지만, 9점제로의 변환 후 모든 형질에서 심사자에 따라 고도의 유의성을 보였고(P<0.001), 점수제간 F값은 발굽기울기와 앞유방의 붙음성은 심사자간 변이가 비교적 높게 나타났다. 이것은 9점제로의 변환 후에도 심사자의 주관적인 요소가 점수에 영향을 미치는 것을 의미한다. 따라서, 선형형질 점수제 변환은 환경효과에 대한 다양한 분석을 통하여 적합성 여부를 결정해야 할 것이다.

경도인지장애 선별검사로서 Montreal Cognitive Assessment-Korea (MoCA-K)의 규준 연구 (The Normative Study of the Montreal Cognitive Assessment-Korea (MoCA-K) as Instrument for Screening of Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI))

  • Purpose : This study aimed to present normative data and cut-off points for older Korean adults completing the Montreal Cognitive Assessment - Korean (MoCA-K), which is used as a screening test for mild cognitive impairment in Korea. Methods : A total of 195 healthy adults ≥60 years were recruited. All participants completed the MoCA-K and the Korean - Mini-Mental State Examination (MMSE-K) to assess their cognitive function. Participants were divided into six groups based on their age: 60-64 years, 65~69 years, 70~74 years, 75~79 years, 80~84 years, and 85~89 years. Results : The results revealed that MoCA-K score decreased significantly with age (mean score ± standard deviation [SD]; 27.63±2.80 in subjects aged 60~64 years; 27.00±2.39 in subjects aged 65~69 years; 24.94±2.96 in subjects aged 70~74 years; 24.74±3.37 in subjects aged 75~79 years; 22.59±4.72 in subjects aged 80~84 years; and 18.83±5.38 in subjects aged 85~89 years; p<.001). Additionally, MoCA-K score also increased significantly with educational level (mean score±standard deviation [SD]; 19.95±4.78 in no formal education group; 24.95±2.22 in elementary school graduated group; 26.35±2.72 in middle school graduated group; 28.32±1.36 in high school graduated group; and 28.50±1.51 in more than college graduated group; p<.001). The optimal cut-off points were 24/25 for 60~69 years old group, 21/22 for 70~79 years old group, 17/18 for 80~84 years old group, and 13/14 for 85~89 years old group. The optimal cut-off points were 15/16 for individuals who were illiterate, 22/23 for individuals with 6 years of education, 22/24 for individuals with 9 years of education, and 26/27 for individuals with 12 or more years of education. Conclusions : This study presents normative data and cut-off points for the MoCA-K in older Korean adults. This data will facilitate more accurate detection and follow-up of the risk of mild cognitive impairment in this population, taking into consideration age and education. Future studies are required that should focus on the cut-off score on the level of education according to age.

원주지역 여중생들의 BMI와 이상식이습관, 영양지식과의 관련성 (A Study for the Relationship between the BMI and the Eating Disorder, Nutritional Knowledge among Female Middle School Girls in Won Ju Province)

  • This study was carried out to find the relationship between the eating disorder associated with BMI(body mass index) and nutrition knowledge by surveying 476 middle school girl students in Won Ju, Gang-Won Province, South Korea. BMI is a standard suggested for oriental people and it was differentiated into the underweight, the normal weight and the overweight. To determine the eating disorder, EAT-26(Eating Attitude Test-26) was used and in order to find out the level of nutrition knowledge DGE (Deutsche Gesellschaft fur Ernahrung) was used after some modifications and supplementations. And the results are as follows; 1) Out of the students surveyed, 22% are in underweight group, 64% are in normal weight group and just 12% are in overweight group. Except the students in underweight group, most of the surveyed students wish to lower the weight below normal weight. 2) Relationship was found between BMI and EAT-26 score that is related with eating disorder behavior, Total score was higher in overweight group than in underweight and normal weight group (P<0.001). When the score for individual question about eating disorder is considered in detail, the score for the questions preoccupied with the weight reduction was higher in overweight group than in underweight and normal weight group(P<0.001). For the questions about bulimia there was no difference according to BMI, however, for the questions about restraining food intake the score was high in overweight group(P<0.001). 3) The score of nutrition knowledge in line with BMI was different. It was found that the total score and the score for the questions about fat, calorie requirement, and calorie content in food were different. The total score showed the highest in overweight group in comparison with the ones in underweight and normal weight group. (P<0.05). Out of maccronutrient like carbohydrate, fat and protein, only the fat showed significant difference according to BMI and it was lower in overweight group than in underweight and normal weight group.(P<0.05) Out of the questions about calorie requirement, significant difference was found in the score for the questions about calorie requirement and calorie content in food. It was lower in overweight group than in underweight and normal weight group (p<0.05).

임상간호사의 건강지각과 건강상태의 관계 (Relation ship between Health Perception and Health Status of Clinical Nurses)

  • The purpose of study was to find out the relation ship between health perception and health status of clinical nurses. It also identified factors that related to health perception and health status of clinical nurses. The research design was descriptive correlational study. The subjects were consisted of 289 clinical nurses at the university hospital in Pusan. The data were collected from Feb. 12th to Feb. 28th, 2001 by self reporting structured questionnaires. The instruments used for this study were health perception questionnaire developed by Ware and Cornell Medical Index modified by Nam Ho-Chang (1965) for measuring health status. The data were analyzed by SPSS/PC+ program using frequency, percentage, mean, mean mark, standard deviation, t-test, ANOVA, Scheffe test, and Pearson's correlation coefficient. The results of this study were as follows. 1. The mean score of the health perception was $94.70{\pm}8.93$(range : 29-145), which the item mean mark score was $3.27{\pm}$0.31(range 1-5). The score of subarea of the health perception was the highest score in health concern ($4.57{\pm}0.58$) and the lowest score in rejection of sick role($2.94{\pm}0.32$). 2. The mean score of the health status was $102.83{\pm}7.61$(range: 57-114), which the item mean mark score was $1.80{\pm}0.13$ (range : 1-2). The mean mark score of the physical health status was $62.55{\pm}5.35$($1.69{\pm}0.14$) and the mental health status was $40.28{\pm}3.51$($1.83{\pm}0.16$). 3. There were statistically significant difference in the score of health perception according to the presence of disease(F=4.607, P=.011), job satisfaction (F=12.242, P=.000), and job place(F=2.838, P=.038). 4. There were statistically significant difference in the score of health status according to the age(F=3.164, P=.007), presence of leisure time(F=4.308, P=.039), presence of diseases(F=3.215, P=.042), job experience(F=9.064, P=.000), job satisfaction(F=7.182, P=.001), job place (F=5.638, P=.001), job position (F=3.900, P=.021). 5. Health perception of clinical nurse was shown to be positively related to health status(r=.543, p=.000). In conclusion, health perception of clinical nurse working at the university hospital was relatively high, and health status was fine. And the more health perception was high, the more health status was high. Therefore, the health promotion program for clinical nurses, should included health perception.

집단관리 결핵환자들의 건강실태조사 -코오넬 의학지수의 응용- (A Survey on Health Status of Group Controlled Pulmonary Tuberculosis Patients -Application of Cornell Medical Index-)

  • This survey was conducted on a total 672 pulmonary tuberculosis patients who were registered at certain health center in Busan, during the period from July 15th to August 31st, 1977, based on Modified Cornell Medical Index(CMI) consisting of 70 questions. Number of 'Yes' response of an individual patients was collected by each large section of Modified CMI. The each number of 'Yes' response was standardized by mean of Z scoring. Z score was obtained by following formula. Z=50+10(Xi-m)/s M : means of 'Yes' response by each section for all subjects s : standard deviation of the mean Xi : number of 'Yes' response by each section in an individual patients The results of obtained were as follows: 1. The number of investigated cases were 672 (459 males and 213 females). The most prevalent group was 20-24 years old group as 18.4% by age, moderate advanced group as 50.8% by radiological diagnosis, INH+PAS+SM group as 34.7% by antituberculotics and unemployed group as 59.9% by occupation. By bacteriological examination of sputum, the rate of negative group was 60.5% and positive group was 39.5%. 2. Z score of complaints by sex was higher in female as 52.4 than in male as 48.9 in general. By radiological diagnosis, there was decreasing tendency with age in male but increasing tendency with age in female. 3. By age group, Z score of complaints was increasing tendency with age in male but there was non-significant differences in female. 4. By bacteriological examination of sputum, the Z score of complaints was increasing tendency with the more discharged bacteria in both sex generally. 5. By antituberculotics, INH group was revealed the highest Z score of complaints as 50.4 in male and INH+PAS group was the highest as 51.21 in female. 6. By occupation, agricultural and fisherman group was the highest as 53.5 and the next group was professional, technical and related workers, unemployed and sales workers in that order.

직무만족(職務滿足)과 관련(關聯) 변인(變人)에 관한 연구(硏究) (A Study on the Job Satisfaction and It's related Variables)

  • This study was conducted to investigate the job satisfaction of the dental technicians and evalate the relationship between it’s scores and certain variables. One hundred eighty dental technicians were sampled from 300 among the 2552 dental technicians by wide distribution method, in September 1990. Data were collected by administering the instrument, the researcher developed for measuring the independent and dependent variables. The statistical methods utilized in this study were one-way analysis of variance, correlation and multiple regression analysis. The data were analyzed by SPSS(Statistical Package for Social Science), utilizing PC. The statistical significance was tested at 0.05 level. The major findings of the study were as follows : 1. The job satisfaction measuring instrument, the researcher developed, could measured the job satisfaction of dental technicians. The Maximum score of the instrument was 125, the highest score of dental technicians was 106, the lowest score was obtained 38, the mean score was 72.228 and standard deviation was 12.804. 2. The personal variables of dental technicians were related with the job satisfaction scores. The job satisfaction scores were positively correlated, at 0.01 level, with the scores of age(r=0.379), year(r=0.218), aptitude(r=0.415), marry(r=0.202), income(r=0.381), career(r=0.316). 3. The family variables scores of dental technicians were not correlated with the job satisfaction scores. 4. The personal characteristics of dental technicians were related with the job satisfaction. The job satisfaction score were positively correlated beyond the significant level, with the cheerfulness scores(r=0.398) and stability scores(r=0.224). 5. The job-related variables of the dental technicians were related with the job satisfaction scores. The correlation coefficient between job satisfaction scores and turnover scores was r=0.23, and quantity scores was r=0.300.

전북산 브랜드 쌀의 근적외선 분광스펙트럼과 기계적 식미치간의 상호관계 (Relationship between Near Infrared Reflectance Spectra and Mechanical Sensory Score of Commercial Brand Rice Produced in Jeonbuk)

  • 쌀의 기계적 식미치 측정용으로 최근 많이 사용되고 있는 도요 미도메타의 미도치를 근적외선 분광분석 기를 이용 신속 간편하게 측정할 수 있는지를 검토하고자 실험 하였던바 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 수집된 브랜드 쌀의 도요 미도치는 최저 62.9, 최고 84.2까지의 비교적 넓은 범위를 보였으며, 샘플의 분포 양상도 정규분포에 가까웠다. 2. MPLS(Modified Partial Least Square) 방식에 의한 검량식 작성시 도요 미도치와 근적외선 스펙트럼 간 결정계수 $(R^2)$는 0.94, 표준오차(SEC)는 0.95정도로 비교적 높은 상관성을 보였다. 3. 검량식 검증 표준오차는 1.64, 검증시 상관정도는 0.81로서 근적외선 분광분석기로 도요 미도치를 비 파괴적으로 손쉽게 측정할 수 있는 가능성을 제시 할 수 있었다.

ICD-10을 이용한 ICISS의 타당도 평가 (Validation of the International Classification of Diseases 10th Edition Based Injury Severity Score(ICISS))

  • Objective : To compare the predictive power of International Classification of Diseases 10th Edition(ICD-10) based International Classification of Diseases based Injury Severity Score(ICISS) with Trauma and Injury Severity Score(TRISS) and International Classification of Diseases 9th Edition Clinical Modification(ICD-9CM) based ICISS in the injury severity measure. Methods : ICD-10 version of Survival Risk Ratios(SRRs) was derived from 47,750 trauma patients from 35 Emergency Centers for 1 year. The predictive power of TRISS, the ICD-9CM based ICISS and ICD-10 based ICISS were compared in a group of 367 severely injured patients admitted to two university hospitals. The predictive power was compared by using the measures of discrimination(disparity, sensitivity, specificity, misclassification rates, and ROC curve analysis) and calibration(Hosmer-Lemeshow goodness-of-fit statistics), all calculated by logistic regression procedure. Results : ICD-10 based ICISS showed a lower performance than TRISS and ICD-9CM based ICISS. When age and Revised Trauma Score(RTS) were incorporated into the survival probability model, however, ICD-10 based ICISS full model showed a similar predictive power compared with TRISS and ICD-9CM based ICISS full model. ICD-10 based ICISS had some disadvantages in predicting outcomes among patients with intracranial injuries. However, such weakness was largely compensated by incorporating age and RTS in the model. Conclusions : The ICISS methodology can be extended to ICD-10 horizon as a standard injury severity measure in the place of TRISS, especially when age and RTS were incorporated in the model. In patients with intracranial injuries, the predictive power of ICD-10 based ICISS was relatively low because of differences in the classifying system between ICD-10 and ICD-9CM.
