Understanding load patterns and customer classification is a basic step in analyzing the behavior of electricity consumers. To achieve that, there have been many researches about clustering customers' daily load data. Nowadays, the deployment of advanced metering infrastructure (AMI) and big-data technologies make it easier to study customers' load data. In this paper, we study load clustering from the view point of yearly and daily load pattern. We compare four clustering methods; K-means clustering, hierarchical clustering (average & Ward's method) and DBSCAN (Density-Based Spatial Clustering of Applications with Noise). We also discuss the relationship between clustering results and Korean Standard Industrial Classification that is one of possible labels for customers' load data. We find that hierarchical clustering with Ward's method is suitable for clustering load data and KSIC can be well characterized by daily load pattern, but not quite well by yearly load pattern.

In this paper, we propose a new signaling protocol as an extension of Generalized Multi-Protocol Label Switching (GMPLS) based PCE protocol for control carrier ethernet. The proposed protocol is not only compatible with the GMPLS PCE standard protocol, but also provides the topology discovery and configuration. In order to verify interoperability, we implement the proposed protocol as well as the system integrating functions including commercial system for testbed. In addition, we have simulated topology discovery test for proposed protocol performance.
In recent years, the Grid development focus is transitioning from resources to services, A Grid Service is defined as a Web Service that provides a set of well-defined interfaces and follows specific conventions. SAML as a standard for Web Services which enables exchange of authentication, authorization, and profile information between different entities provides interoperability among different security services in distributed environments. In this paper, we implemented SAML API. By offering interoperability for non XML-based authentication technologies using SAML specification offering a method to integrate the existing Single Sign-On technologies, the API provides convenience for accessing different services in Grid architecture.
Elitist nondominated sorting genetic algorithm (NSGA-II) is adopted and improved for multiobjective optimal reactive power flow (ORPF) problem. Multiobjective ORPF, formulated as a multiobjective mixed integer nonlinear optimization problem, minimizes real power loss and improves voltage profile of power grid by determining reactive power control variables. NSGA-II-based ORPF is tested on standard IEEE 30-bus test system and compared with four other state-of-the-art multiobjective evolutionary algorithms (MOEAs). Pareto front and outer solutions achieved by the five MOEAs are analyzed and compared. NSGA-II obtains the best control strategy for ORPF, but it suffers from the lower convergence speed at the early stage of the optimization. Several problem-specific local search strategies (LSSs) are incorporated into NSGA-II to promote algorithm's exploiting capability and then to speed up its convergence. This enhanced version of NSGA-II (ENSGA) is examined on IEEE 30 system. Experimental results show that the use of LSSs clearly improved the performance of NSGA-II. ENSGA shows the best search efficiency and is proved to be one of the efficient potential candidates in solving reactive power optimization in the real-time operation systems.

In this paper, we discuss design considerations for an n-channel metal-oxide-semiconductor field-effect transistor (MOSFET) with a lateral asymmetric channel (LAC) doping profile. We employed a $0.35\;{\mu}m$ standard complementary MOSFET process for fabrication of the devices. The gates to the LAC doping overlap lengths were 0.5, 1.0, and $1.5\;{\mu}m$. The drain current ($I_{ON}$), transconductance ($g_m$), substrate current ($i_{SUB}$), drain to source leakage current ($i_{OFF}$), and channel-hot-electron (CHE) reliability characteristics were taken into account for optimum device design. The LAC devices with shorter overlap lengths demonstrated improved $I_{ON}$ and $g_m$ characteristics. On the other hand, the LAC devices with longer overlap lengths demonstrated improved CHE degradation and $I_{OFF}$ characteristics.

In the analysis of plasmid profile obtained by agarose gel electrophoresis, the strain harvoring multiple reference plasmids of known molecular weight were needed to estimate the size of unknown molecular weight plasmids. Six strains of E. coli isolated from clinical specimens carried multiple plasmids and these strains could be available as a reference plasmids harvoring strain. These E. coli strains showed 4 to 9 plasmids of various size ranging 2.5 to 94.3 megadalton (Mdal). The correlation coefficients of linear regression between the relative mobility and molecular weight were 0.99966 to 1.00000. Among them, E. coli KE327 from throat which contained 7 plasm ids as follows: 79 Mdal, 46 Mdal, 33 Mdal(pKY3027 C), 4.9Mdal, 3.8Mdal(pKY3027 E), 3.5Mdal, and 2.7 Mdal. Relative amount of the pKY3027 C was the smallest(7.09%) and that of the pKY3027 E was the largest (24.24%) among the plasmid fractions of E. coli KE327.

Recently medical consumers pursue high leveled quality of life through active promotion, prevention, management activity of health as the importance of health during home life is emerged to meet the aging society and chronic diseases. In addition, people are directed to the m-Health for managing yourself their health by using smartphone and various personal health devices, if necessary transmits health data to the physician himself. In the previous studies, m-Health Application were developed and applied in the real clinical environment by adopting the medical information standards was rarely conducted. Therefore, in this study, the m-Health application platform was developed. Developed application was communicate with IEEE 11073 standard protocol using the Bluetooth Health Device Profile in personal health device via smart phone to process blood pressure information, and it converted to HL7 V2.6 ORU_R01 message for send to remote medical server. In addition, we tested the interoperability and safety of the developed application for 23 inpatient and 17 outpatient at D University Hospital. As a result, the blood pressure information has been transmitted without error.

Prader-Willi syndrome (PWS) is a genetic disorder that is considered, especially on child, to cause poor feeding, hypotonia, failure to thrive, developmental delay and hypogonadism which is known to affect between 1 in 10,000 and 30,000 people. The children with PWS are viewed as affected by growth hormone (GH) insufficiency, although the exact mechanisms of GH deficiency are not fully understood. However, the benefits of GH treatment in children with PWS are well established. Myers, et al. (2006), Grugni, et al. (2016) indicated its positive effects on linear growth, body composition, motor function, respiratory function and psychomotor development. Despite of its effectiveness and advantages had been well known and proven in many other studies, there is only one recombinant GH product that is approved for PWS in Korea, $Genotropin^{(R)}$, till now. A phase III clinical study of GH treatment with $Eutropin^{TM}$, in 34 Korean PWS children is in progress, which is expected to have comparable effects and safety profile with the active control by assessing auxological changes such as height standard deviation score, body composition changes such as lean body mass and percent body fat, motor and cognitive development using Bayley scale, and safety profiles.
Microbes is becoming increasingly forensic possibility as a consequence of advances in massive parallel sequencing (MPS) and bioinformatics. Human DNA typing is the best identifier, but it is not always possible to extract a full DNA profile namely its degradation and low copy number, and it may have limitations for identical twins. To overcome these unsatisfactory limitations, forensic potential for bacteria found in evidence could be used to differentiate individuals. Prokaryotic cells have a cell wall that better protects the bacterial nucleoid compared to the cell membrane of eukaryotic cells. Humans have an extremely diverse microbiome that may prove useful in determining human identity and may even be possible to link the microbes to the person responsible for them. Microbial composition within the human microbiome varies across individuals. Therefore, MPS of human microbiome could be used to identify biological samples from the different individuals, specifically for twins and other cases where standard DNA typing doses not provide satisfactory results due to degradation of human DNA. Microbial forensics is a new discipline combining forensic science and microbiology, which can not to replace current STR analysis methods used for human identification but to be complementary. Among the fields of microbial forensics, this paper will briefly describe information on the current status of microbiome research such as metagenomic code, salivary microbiome, pubic hair microbiome, microbes as indicators of body fluids, soils microbes as forensic indicator, and review microbial forensics as the feasibility of microbiome-based human identification.
Tidal disruption events (TDEs) provide evidence for quiescent supermassive black holes (SMBHs) in the centers of inactive galaxies. TDEs occur when a star on a parabolic orbit approaches close enough to a SMBH to be disrupted by the tidal force of the SMBH. The subsequent super-Eddington accretion of stellar debris falling back to the SMBH produces a characteristic flare lasting several months. It is theoretically expected that the bolometric light curve decays with time as proportional to $t^{-5/3}$. However, some of the observed X-ray light curves deviate from the $t^{-5/3}$ decay rate, while some of them are overall in good agreement with the $t^{-5/3}$ law. Therefore, it is required to construct the theoretical model for explaining these light curve variations consistently. In this paper, we revisit the mass fallback rates semi-analytically by taking account of the stellar internal structure, orbital eccentricity and penetration factor. We find that the mass fallback rate is shallower than the standard $t^{-5/3}$ decay rate independently of the polytropic index, and the orbital eccentricity only changes the magnitude of the mass fallback rate. Furthermore, the penetration factor significantly can modify the magnitude and variation of mass fallback rate. We confirm these results by performing the computational hydrodynamic simulations. We also discuss the relevance of our model by comparing these results with the observed light curves.
