증발식 다중효용 담수기에서 열교환기 튜브 배열 및 형상에 따른 액막 유동에 관한 수치해석 (Numerical Study of Liquid Film Flow on Heat Exchanger Tube Arrangement and Configuration of Multi Effect Distillation)

  • This study was performed numerical analysis in order to analyze liquid film flow of heat exchanger tube arrangement and configuration of evaporative multi effect distillation system using medium-temperature. Simulation was accomplished the two-dimensional calculations using commercial analyses program FLUENT based on the FVM(finite volume method). Fresh water generator of this study used Shell & Tubes heat exchanger with Cu_Ni tube, configuration of tube used bare tube and corrugated tube, and arrangement of tube used in-line array and staggered array. Performance of heat exchanger through the formation of liquid film was compared and analyzed. Liquid film flow occurred that falling on heat exchanger tube wall. Result of simulation showed that liquid film thickness of in-line arrangement was found 0.57mm with bare tube and 0.67mm with corrugated tube, respectively. And liquid film thickness of staggered arrangement was found 0.39mm with bare tubes and 0.62mm with corrugated tubes, respectively. Liquid film thickness of corrugated tube showed thicker than bare tube, but heat transfer rates of corrugated tube showed higher than bare tube. The reason was considered that surface area of corrugated tube was wider than bare tube. And liquid film thickness of staggered arrangement showed thinner than in-line arrangement, so thermal performance of staggered arrangement showed higher than in-line arrangement.

  • The Characteristics of the flowfield through tube banks with in-line and staggered arrangements were investigated by PIV. Strouhal numbers, velocity vectors and velocity profiles around the cylinders with in-line and staggered arrangements were observed at the pitch ratio Pt/D=2.0 and Reynolds number of Re=$Re=4.0{\times}10^3$. As the results The flow patterns through tube banks were almost a straight line in case of the in-line arrangement while it was almost 八 type in case of the staggered arrangement in the direction of the wake. The average velocity in the rear region of the tube banks with the staggered arrangement was far smaller than that with the in-line arrangement. The Strouhal number in the last rank was far smaller than that in the front ranks in both of the in-line and staggered arrangements. The wake of each cylinder changed with time and with the position of the cylinder.

  • The characteristics of flow and heat transfer in the heat exchanger of heat pipes with fins have been studied numerically for cooling enhancement of electronic components of KTX (Korea Train eXpress). Numerical analysis and methodology have been conformed by comparing the experimental results for inlined array of heat pipes. The staggered arrangement of heat pipes has been proposed in order to achieve heat transfer enhancement. As results, the geometry change to the staggered array is conformed to increase the heat transfer of the system accompanied by an increase of pressure drop. The current results of friction factor and Colburn j factor are presented in terms of Reynolds number and staggered distance, and are expected to use for design and manufacture of such a system.

  • The aerodynamic forces and wake structures of the non-rotating downstream cylinder which is located behind the spinning upstream cylinder in tandem and staggered arrangement have been investigated by experimental method at Re= $1.32{\times}10^4$. The measurements of wake flow and pressure distributions of downstream cylinder are carried out in various spin parameters by combination of both longitudinal spacing rations L/d=1.5, 3.0, 4.5 and transverse spacing ratios T/d =0.0, -0.5, 0.5. For the present experiment, it has been found that the spin parameter of spinning upstream cylinder affect more easily the downstream cylinder in tandem arrangement than that in staggered arrangement.

  • In this study, we discuss CIP method, which can treat compressible/incompressible problem and multi-phase problem. We can apply this method to the general equations by using CCUP. In this paper, non-staggered grid arrangement and predictor-corrector method are used to enhance later development and the solution accuracy and convergence performance. To validate the numerical algorithm proposed in this paper, the two-dimensional unsteady flow in the driven cavity is simulated. The numerical results of this subject using the present algorithm are compared with other numerical results. As a result, it is prived that the present scheme gives stable and improved solutions, and the results even coarse grid are in good agreement with other result using a fine grid arrangement.

튜브배열 방향과 수직한 유동에 의한 관외 대류 열전달 (The Convective Heat Transfer for the Flow Perpendicular to the Tube Array)

  • The convective heat transfer on the outer surface of tube arrays perpendicular to the flow direction was experimentally investigated. The test sections which include the aligned and staggered arrangements were made and the local heat transfer coefficients on the outer surface of the tube were measured after the flow has been fully developed. The results showed that the local heat transfer coefficients of the staggered arrangement, which has transverse pitch of 0.075 m and longitudinal pitch of 0.08 m, were about 15% greater than that of the aligned arrangement. Also, the overall mean Nusselt number of the former was greater than that of the latter. It is verified that the results obtained by using the simulation show the same tendency with those of experiment.

  • 고온의 연소가스를 교란시키고 열교환 요소와 오랜시간 접촉하도록 원관을 옆으로 서로 맞대어 붙인 후 이 원관의 배열과 수직한 방향으로 연소가스가 흐르도록 설계된 열교환기에 대하여 실험적으로 열전달특성을 조사하기 위해서 유동이 충분히 발달한 영역에서 관 외부 원주방향으로 스테인레스 박판을 부착하고 직류 전원공급기를 통해 열유속을 주어, 관 주위의 대류열전달계수를 측정하였다. 실험 결과 세로피치 0.075 m, 가로피치 0.08 m이고 엇갈림 배열일 때 열전달계수가 15% 정도 차이가 크게 났으며, 레이놀즈수가 증가할수록 열전달계수도 증가함을 알 수 있었다. 또한 전체 평균 누셀트 수도 엇갈림 배열이 정렬배열에 비해 높게 나타났다.

  • Turbulent flow and heat transfer characteristics around staggered tube bundles were studied using a non-orthogonal boundary fitted coordinate system and the low Reynolds .kappa. - .epsilon. turbulence model suggested by Lam and Bremhorst. The predicted flow characteristics for two tube pitches and tube arrangement showed good agreement with the experimental data except the strongly curved region. The predicted Nusselt number was compared with measurements obtained in the staggered rough bundles and it revealed the similar trend to measurements, but the location of the maximum and minimum heat transfer differed somewhat from the measurements.

두 원기둥의 유동에 기인한 진동 특성에 관한 연구 (Study on Characteristics of Flow-Induced Vibrations of Two Circular Cylinders)

  • 본 연구는 두 원기둥의 유동에 기인한 진동에 관한 실험적 연구이다. 두 원기둥이 직렬 배열(${\alpha}=0^{\circ}$), 대각선 배열(${\alpha}=5^{\circ}$, $10^{\circ}$, $15^{\circ}$, $25^{\circ}$, $45^{\circ}$, $60^{\circ}$), 병렬 배열(${\alpha}=90^{\circ}$) 됐을 때 두 원기둥의 간격(L/D)과 유속을 변화 시켰을 때의 진동 특성을 조사했다. 그 결과 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. (i)직렬, 대각선, 병렬 배열된 두 원기둥에서 발생하는 유동에 기인한 진동의 패턴은 7 개 패턴이다. (ii)복수로 존재하는 두 원기둥의 유동에 기인한 진동은 서로 진동을 유발시킨다. (iii) 두 원기둥의 직렬, 대각선, 병렬 배열 중에 유동에 기인한 진동을 유발하기 가장 쉬운 배열은 병렬 배열이다. (iv) 모든 배열에서 두 원기둥의 간격변화에 따른 최대 진폭의 변화는 변동 양력 계수의 변화와 유사하다.
