반응성 질소와 플라즈마 처리에 의한 문턱 스위칭 소자의 개선 (Improved Distribution of Threshold Switching Device by Reactive Nitrogen and Plasma Treatment)

  • 두 가지 $N_2$ 프로세스(성장 중 반응성 질소 그리고 질소 플라즈마 경화)에 의해 특별히 개선된 AsGeTeS 위에 만들어진 문턱 스위칭 소자를 제시하고자 한다. 적층과 열적 안정적인 소자 구조가 가능한 두 스텝 프로세스에서의 질소의 사용은 나노급 배열 회로의 응용에서의 스위치와 메모리 소자의 집적을 가능하게 한다. 이것의 좋은 문턱 스위칭 특성에도 불구하고 AsTeGeSi 기반의 스위치는 높은 온도에서의 신뢰성 있는 저항 메모리 적용에 중요한 요소를 가진다. 이것은 보통 Te의 농도 변화에 기인한다. 그러나 chalconitride 스위치(AsTeGeSiN)은 $30{\times}30(nm^2)$ 셀에서 $1.1{\times}10^7A/cm^2$가 넘는 높은 전류 농도를 갖는 높은 온도 안정성을 보여준다. 스위치의 반복 능력은 $10^8$번을 넘어선다. 더하여 AsTeGeSiN 선택 소자를 가진 TaOx 저항성 메모리를 사용한 1 스위치-1저항으로 구성된 메모리 셀을 시연하였다.

Development of Land fog Detection Algorithm based on the Optical and Textural Properties of Fog using COMS Data

  • We developed fog detection algorithm (KNU_FDA) based on the optical and textural properties of fog using satellite (COMS) and ground observation data. The optical properties are dual channel difference (DCD: BT3.7 - BT11) and albedo, and the textural properties are normalized local standard deviation of IR1 and visible channels. Temperature difference between air temperature and BT11 is applied to discriminate the fog from other clouds. Fog detection is performed according to the solar zenith angle of pixel because of the different availability of satellite data: day, night and dawn/dusk. Post-processing is also performed to increase the probability of detection (POD), in particular, at the edge of main fog area. The fog probability is calculated by the weighted sum of threshold tests. The initial threshold and weighting values are optimized using sensitivity tests for the varying threshold values using receiver operating characteristic analysis. The validation results with ground visibility data for the validation cases showed that the performance of KNU_FDA show relatively consistent detection skills but it clearly depends on the fog types and time of day. The average POD and FAR (False Alarm Ratio) for the training and validation cases are ranged from 0.76 to 0.90 and from 0.41 to 0.63, respectively. In general, the performance is relatively good for the fog without high cloud and strong fog but that is significantly decreased for the weak fog. In order to improve the detection skills and stability, optimization of threshold and weighting values are needed through the various training cases.

치밀골 두께 변화에 따른 임플랜트 1차안정성과 즉시하중부담능 평가 (AN EVALUATION OF THE PRIMARY IMPLANT STABILITY AND THE IMMEDIATE LOAD-BEARING CAPACITY ACCORDING TO THE CHANGE OF CORTICAL BONE THICKNESS)

  • Statement of problem. Cortical bone plays an important role in the primary implant stability, which is essential to immediate/early loading. However, immediate load-bearing capacity and primary implant stability according to the change of the cortical bone thickness have not been reported. Purpose. The objectives of this study were (1) to measure the immediate load-bearing capacity of implant and primary implant stability according to the change of cortical bone thickness, and (2) to evaluate the correlation between them. Material and methods.48, screw-shaped implants (3.75 mm$\times$7 mm) were placed into bovine rib bone blocks with different upper cortical bone thickness (0-2.5 mm) and resonance frequency (RF) values were measured subsequently. After fastening of healing abutment. implants were subjected to a compressive load until tolerated micromotion threshold known for the osseointegration and load values at threshold were recorded. Thereafter, RF measurement after loading, CT taking and image analysis were performed serially to evaluate the cortical bone quality and quantity. Immediate load-bearing capacity and RF values were analyzed statistically with ANOVA and post-hoc method at 95% confidence level (P<0.05). Regression analysis and correlation test were also performed. Results. Existence and increase of cortical bone thickness increased the immediate load-bearing capacity and RF value (P<0.05) With the result of regression analysis, all parameter's of cortical bone thickness to immediate load-bearing capacity and resonance frequency showed significant positive values (P<0.0001). A significant high correlation was observed between the cortical bone thickness and immediate load-beating capacity (r=0.706, P<0.0001), between the cortical bone thickness and resonance frequency (r=0.753, P<0.0001) and between the immediate load-bearing capacity and resonance frequency (r=0.755, P<0.0001). Conclusion. In summary, cortical bone thickness change affected the immediate load-baring capacity and the RF value. Although RF analysis (RFA) is based on the measurement of implant/bone interfacial stiffness, when the implant is inserted stably, RFA is also considered to reflect implant/bone interfacial strength of immediately after placement from high correlation with the immediate load-baring capacity. RFA and measuring the cortical bone thickness with X-ray before and during surgery could be an effective diagnosis tool for the success of immediate loading of implant.

  • This paper presents the initial results of development of a inertial navigation grade silicon pendulous accelerometer. This effort focused on developing a bulk-micromachined silicon pendulum and designing a PI-servo controller. Performance data presented in this paper includes threshold, bias short term stability and nonlinearity of scale factor. This accelerometer developed is demonstrated the feasibility of meeting one-nautical-mile-per-hour accuracy.

  • A walking robot must have the ability to change the body direction in order to avoid the obstacles. In this paper, we develop a gait control algorithm that can maintain the stable movement of the robot for three different modes of changing directions. The algorithm makes it possible for the robot to have the larger gait stability margin than the threshold value by the method of changing the body speed.

  • This paper presents a new DR(Dead Reckoning) algorithm in client-server-based networked virtual environment using network delay estimation. In the algorithm, a new update packet is sent to server (or client) whenever the difference of current real value and tracking value after network delay is larger than threshold. To confirm the proposed algorithm, a test network game was implemented. Through iterative field tests, we knew that this algorithm provides fair service and stability.

Stability and Optimal Harvesting in Lotka-Volterra Competition Model for Two-species with Stage Structure

  • In this paper, we consider a delay differential equation model of two competing species with harvesting of the mature and immature members of each species. The time delay in the model represents the time from birth to maturity of that species, which appears in the adults recruitment terms. We study the dynamics of our model analytically and we present results on positivity and boundedness of the solution, conditions for the existence and globally asymptotically stable of equilibria, a threshold of harvesting, and the optimal harvesting of the mature populations of each species.

Effects of multi-layered active layers on solution-processed InZnO TFTs

  • We studied the electrical properties and gate bias stress (GBS) stability of thin film transistors (TFTs) with multi-stacked InZnO layers. The InZnO TFTs were fabricated via solution process and the In:Zn molar ratio was 1:1. As the number of InZnO layers was increased, the mobility and the subthreshold swing (S.S) were improved, and the threshold voltage of TFT was reduced. The TFT with three-layered InZnO showed high mobility of $21.2cm^2/Vs$ and S.S of 0.54 V/decade compared the single-layered InZnO TFT with $4.6cm^2/Vs$ and 0.71 V/decade. The three-layered InZnO TFTs were relatively unstable under negative bias stress (NBS), but showed good stability under positive bias stress (PBS).

  • In this paper, a predator-prey model with stage structure and distributed delay is investigated. Mathematical analyses of the model equation with regard to boundedness of solutions, nature of equilibria, permanence, extinction and stability are performed. By the comparison theorem, a set of easily verifiable sufficient conditions are obtained for the global asymptotic stability of nonnegative equilibria of the model. Taking the product of the per-capita rate of predation and the rate of conversing prey into predator as the bifurcating parameter, we prove that there exists a threshold value beyond which the positive equilibrium bifurcates towards a periodic solution.

  • This paper describes a Unified Chassis Control (UCC) strategy to prevent vehicle rollover by integrating individual modular chassis control systems such as Electronic Stability Control (ESC) and Continuous Damping Control (CDC). The UCC threshold is determined from a rollover index computed by estimated roll angle, roll rate and measured lateral acceleration. A direct yaw moment control method is used to design the ESC based on a 2-D bicycle model. Similarly, the CDC is designed based on a 2-D roll model using a direct roll moment control method. The performance of the proposed UCC scheme is investigated and compared to that of modular chassis controllers through computer simulations using a validated vehicle simulator. It is shown that the proposed the UCC can lead to improvements in vehicle stability and efficient actuation of chassis control systems.
